Waterstrike Heir Missing and Presume Kidnapped

Word came into this reporter as she interview a Twin Adder officer for another article, from Ul'dah.  The heir to the Waterstrike House, young Lord John Waterstrike, was missing.  He was not answering his private Linkpearl and was last seen leaving the Grindstone by teleport.

Interviews around the area review that young John arrive at the atherite before heading out the main gate of Gridania.  This reporter, following the adder that was sent to investigate, was told at Bentbranch that the young miqo'te was seen passing by the gate, heading for the lake dock and the boat that would take him to Lavender Beds.  It was while interviewing the people at Bentbranch that word came in about signs of a struggle.

Upon arriving at the site, several Adders and Conjurers were already on scene, and I could see the blood on the daggers that was collected along with the blood on the stone, as well as the rage left behind, the scent of a sleeping drug still on it.  From the signs that this reporter has seen, it would appear that Master Waterstrike was taken by force.

Is this an action to ransom the heir for some of the Waterstrike fortune?  Or as is believe, that Garleans may have been involved in the kidnapping, as a way to hold sway over a Royalist family.  We can only hope that Master Waterstrike will be return safely back to Ul'dah and his family.

(Just going to post this in this section as not to clutter up the Lantern area.)

Waterstrike Heir Still Missing

John Waterstrike, of house Waterstrike, is still missing.  Blood found at the site outside of Bentbranch has been aetherical comfirm to be that of Sir Waterstrike.  As for the motive for the attack and kidnapping is still not been comfirm.  So far, no ransom has come to the House and has left the family in limbo over if young Sir Waterstrike is even still alive at this point.

As of this time, Master Thomas Waterstrike has issue a small statement.  "It is my prayer to Nald'Thala, that our son will be return to us, save and whole.  I wish to thank all that have sent offering and prayers to us."  When asked how Lady Margret was dealing with their son, this reporter was told that she has been beside herself with worry.  A reward has been offer to any that might have information or that saw the kidnapping of John Waterstrike.  Please contact the Flames or Adder with any information.

As he Paul made his way to the Carline Canopy he carried his typical bottle of rum. Inside the establishment, the inspector found a left-behind herald. He noticed one headline of interest. The poor Waterstrike victim still was not found.

Perhaps I should reach out to the Grand Companies and see if I can aid in this case. Paul thought this quietly to himself. The fact that no ransom had been made was of particular note to him. Most victims did not survive beyond the first twenty-four hours...

Later in the evening, in Ul'dah, a man in black moved through the shadows. He knew a few scum that frequented the grindstone. His objective: beat them until they told him what he wanted to know. If justice would not find the young Lord, then the man in black intended to himself...

(Wish I could have caught you Paul to do some rp, hopefully we can do something now that John is back.)

Waterstrike Heir Has Been Found!

It was much joy and tears that young John was brought back to his home by his father.  Lord Waterstrike step off the airship with the large force of guards, carrying the battered and blood form of his son in his arms.  It was with much relief that Lord Waterstrike comfirm that he was alive though not whole.  When asked what had happen, Lord Thomas admitted that it was not he and his guards that had retrieve him.  "A small unit of Flame personal receive information on John's whereabouts.  The brave unit slip into the Castrum that he and several others were being held in.  Several of the personal was injured in the raid."

When asked who the unit was, Lord Thomas would only say that they were just brave men and women that only wish to help where they could.  The guards then usher him and his injured son out of the airship landing.  When inquires were made to the Flames about who was part of the raid on the castrum, the officers in charge only look confused and said they would inquire with all the units to find out.

This just seems to leave more question then answers.  If the Flames did not know about the unit that raided the castrum to then who was these Flames that took the matter into their own hands?  Why was the young lord taken by the Garleans in the first place if it was not to use as a ransom to Lord Thomas?  Who was the others that were also taken and why were they not reported missing as well?  And until the young lord has recover from his injuries, they may remain unanswer.
