Enormous thanks go out to our friends:  Fools' Renaissance , Axiom , Glowfly Exchange , and Rising Phoenix  who all contributed to the success of our first Night on the Toll open-air RP event!  It was great to have so many roleplayers come out and support our little endeavor to bring a little life to a far off place.

A number of things were discussed on providing each other with a bit of work now and then, along with the Chroniclers accepting in a mysterious shipment from the Glowfly Exchange!  What was supposed to be a simple delivery turned out to be a cunning test of the Glowflies' trustworthiness and their ability to follow through.  Given the sensitive nature of the Chroniclers' work, having a shipper they could trust was paramount!

All-in-all, it was great fun!  We hope to see you all again next week!

(Though, we'll try to spread out a bit to lessen the chatbox spam!)

Our thanks again to our friends who made it out for our Nights on the Toll open-air RP event.  We discussed the Chroniclers' on-going problem with their failing Allagan Construct, doled out some investigative/research work to our friends in Axiom, and arranged to meet again in two weeks when the Nights on the Toll resumed again.

We hope to see you all next week as we host the inaugural Gridania Story-Go-Round at Mih Khetto's Amphitheater!

The Chroniclers had a great time at the Twelve Oaks Library Grand Opening this evening!  We’re even more excited to have our newest client in Rheya Tayuun who purchased our gift basket!

We’re looking forward to spreading around some roleplay and making some new friends!  Huge thanks to the Twelve Oaks Library for opening the door to this wonderful opportunity!

The Chroniclers were joined this week by Neheon Wolfsbane of Fool's Renaissance  where they enjoyed a friendly dinner with lots of conversation.  No issues were brought to the table this week, just some good old-fashioned camaraderie and hanging out!

Night on the Toll changes from week-to-week, so you never know what you're going to get with us!  ;)

Episode Two

The Truth of the Terrible Monstrosity

It was a small showing at the Story-Go-Round this month, but that didn't stop us any!  We went ahead and told a spooky story of a terrible monster with a surprise twist ending!  Thankfully, the full chatlog is available for you to enjoy.  We look forward to next month when guest host Rheya Tayuun of the Keeper's Kiss will be able to claim her prize from the Twelve Oaks Library Grand Opening back in September.

Recruitment is once again OPEN!

It was a quiet evening out on the Toll this week, but the Chroniclers still got together to share a meal and to catch up with all the goings-on around their small Company.  News and information changed hands as well as hopes of getting to the bottom of a few lingering mysteries that they find themselves involved in.

A shipment of rare, augmented Scintillant Ingots has been stolen while en route from Ishgard to Revenant's Toll. Word from Ishgard tells of the wagon leaving through the Gates of Judgment on schedule with a heavily-armed escort of six seasoned mercenaries. The Chroniclers divide themselves across Coerthas, making inquiries at both the Observatorium and Whitebrim.

Zhan'a Rakhin, Syranelle Ironleaf, and R'Tahira Ohan went to the Observatorium to make inquiries and Irridias Velnyx went to Whitebrim. However, the dragoon stopped off with a local band of gygas that he was friendly with, where he soon discovered tragedy. The Gygas were in an uproar, very distraught. Many were bruised and battered, some having signs of taking magitek gunfire! They went on about "tiny, puny men" and loading a wagon of crates into a "giant metal dragon."

Upon investigating farther north into the Daniffen Pass, Ree found the bodies of two of the guards one of the small pools in the cavern. The bodies of the other four he later found in the pond just on the North end of the tunnel. All dead. It looked like they, too, had taken heavy magitek fire. According to the dragoon, they were up against twenty to forty Garleans and two magitek Reapers.

Whatever those Augmented ingots were, the Empire wanted them badly.

In the aftermath, Tahira was dispatched back to Limsa Lominsa and Maelstrom Command to make her reports on her involvement, as well as to inquire with Naldiq & Vymelli's forges on the nature of the strange metal. Ree took himself to Ishgard to inquire after the origins of the shipment and, perhaps, what the augmented alloy might be used for. Syra returned to Revenant's Toll to make inquiries with the Garlond Ironworks and the original merchant that sent them out to look. Zhan'a was sent to Ul'dah to the Miner's Guild to also make inquiries into this Scintillant metal and its augmentation.

We had a great time this week with the SGR with a bevy of storytellers and our special Guest Host, Rheya Tayuun, who sent us on

a whirlwind adventure with a squire and a dragon.  We had people who were new to RP and familiar faces from the community, so it was great to see and have everyone along for such a fun ride!

The Chroniclers gathered this week to find the waif, Ellisorielle Black, on their doorstep and looking for refuge from those who intend her harm.  They discussed at length the various clues they'd discovered about the cultist group, but came to no concrete plans.  Accommodations were arranged for the frightened young girl and efforts began to ensure her safety.  It was only a matter of time before someone came looking...

Zhan'a Rakhin, Alexander Steelstrike, and R'Tahira Ohan did some investigating around Black Brush Station, where they discovered that the Scintillant Ingots were being produced there and then shipped en masse to Idyllshire. At least three wagonloads of the stuff had been sent just the week prior.

From Mutamix Bubblypots, they also discovered that large quantities of Demicrystals had been ordered by Hismena of the House of Splendors. It was explained to them that this rare material augmented the aetherial properties of armor and weapons, making it so that even those with little to no aetherial skill could use the enhanced powers of whatever the demicrystals were built into.

Just what was going on here...?

Several varied issues were touched on when The Chroniclers gathered again this week.  Further clues into the Garlean activity and the theft of a shipment of rare alloy were discussed, including a sketch of an Aetherkey that might be enough to buy them some time to ferret out the shipment's location.

It was discovered that one of their own, Zhan'a Rakhin, now had Wanted posters up for his capture in Gridania, claiming he kidnapped a young girl.  It tied in to their on-going investigation of a mysterious cult that was kidnapping orphans from all the city-states and converting them to their will.

Lastly, they discussed the matter of the artifact they'd obtained, The Crown of Wishes.  All that remained was to find an adamantoise to test it on... An adamantoise?!   Yes, an adamantoise.  The Crown of Wishes was a rare relic that only granted the heartfelt wishes of tiny turtles.  Most of whom want to fly.  Go figure.

This week's Toll Night saw The Chroniclers gather just to shoot the breeze and catch up with one another.  News was shared about the on-going mysteries of the Augmented Scintillant Ore (our Spurs of Chaos FC-wide Storyline), as well as ideas for the upcoming Gridania Story-Go-Round, and word from Alexander Steelstrike about an upcoming expedition into Xelphatol.  (His personal Character Storyline.)

It was my honor to speak before such a grand assembly on behalf of The Chroniclers and so many others!  Big thanks go out to Kale Aideron for putting this together and being such an excellent host.  Kudos go out to all the performers and speakers, including that rabble-rousing Doctor Ozerov!
