Moonfire Posted May 22, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 22, 2013 I stopped into Gamestop and Pre-ordered and paid in full my copy of FFXIV:ARR for the PC. It is 29.99 vs the 59.99 PS3 version. I can't wait for phase 3...PLEASE let me get picked. lol. Link to comment
Nhyra Posted May 22, 2013 Share #2 Posted May 22, 2013 Amazon has had preorder available for some time too: Link Personally... waiting for info what's included in the collector's edition :3 Link to comment
Moonfire Posted May 22, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted May 22, 2013 Oh good point! Gamestop is good usually about upgrading to a collectors edition though so I am safe either way. Link to comment
Orlog Posted May 24, 2013 Share #4 Posted May 24, 2013 I find myself being overjoyed and kind of perturbed at the differences in pre-order items compared to the first launch. But, I'm pretty relived to find that people who ordered the first version of the game get all of the digital items free of charge; chocobo hat and behemoth-pig. Ohmagawd. Link to comment
Moonfire Posted May 24, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted May 24, 2013 So on "Good Morning Eorzea" it was stated that the computer collectors edition is only available at the Square Unix store. Can anyone give me a link with this info? I will be a sad panda if that is the case. Link to comment

The collector's editions aren't available on Amazon or Gamestop's website, or anywhere else. Link to comment

From this same forum I found the mention of some UK store named Zavvi.. seems they have the physical copy: http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/pc/final-fantasy-xiv-a-realm-reborn-collector-s-edition/10809034.html Looks legit enough? Kari Illderthane Posted May 24, 2013 Share #8 Posted May 24, 2013 I have used Zavi plenty of times, and I think what was ment was the digital collecters is only aviable through the Square store. Link to comment
Vareal Posted May 24, 2013 Share #9 Posted May 24, 2013 Gamestop hasn't been made aware of the release date or the collectors editions, so they aren't available for pre-order yet. But you can pre-order the base version of the game for PC and PS3. I just did mine today and am keeping an eye out for when they finally allow pre-orders for the CE. Link to comment
Moonfire Posted May 25, 2013 Author Share #10 Posted May 25, 2013 I decided not to risk it and cancelled my order from Gamestop (and they returned all my money. I <3 them) and bought the boxed CE from Square Enix Link to comment
Kari Illderthane Posted May 26, 2013 Share #11 Posted May 26, 2013 I couldnt actually buy the box CE version from the square store but that could be with me liveing in the UK. Link to comment
Cornet Espoir Posted May 29, 2013 Share #12 Posted May 29, 2013 Just a warning square just announced that those who buy the pc physical collectors edition the digital game items are part of a product code and arent seperate codes. What this means is that you would actually have to make a new account to get the items. So if you are a standard or legacy user and want those items+ the physical stuff you're better off getting the ps3 collectors edition. Link to comment

allgivenover Posted May 29, 2013 Share #14 Posted May 29, 2013 It's true. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/61990-FINAL-FANTASY-XIV-A-Realm-Reborn-Purchase-Questions?p=996799#post996799 However... ... the PS3 version can be registered to an existing Windows account, which would allow you to receive the collector's edition items. Gideon Aryeh Posted June 2, 2013 Share #16 Posted June 2, 2013 Hey did anyone get the preorder code yet from ordering off of Square's site? I didn't get mine and I did click on the link on the FFXIV site for the preorder code, but the email never came. Link to comment
Lizzo Posted June 2, 2013 Share #17 Posted June 2, 2013 Looking up my game place (EB Games in Canada), shows that I can make a preorder online but it doesn't look like I can get the CE - may go to the actual store to see if I can preorder the CE there. If not, might have to go the SE site. Link to comment
Cornet Espoir Posted June 2, 2013 Share #18 Posted June 2, 2013 When I had originally pre ordered from square they didn't give me the code they probably give it to you later. When I ordered from amazon they gave me my code a day later but only for the early access. Link to comment
