LystAP Posted September 14, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2017 There's a pretty interesting development for the Couerlclaw gang in Stormblood, hidden away in the Scholar class quest. It is in the Scholar quest, A Safe Place to Hide. In particular, this excerpt - You come across a tonberry lying face-down in the dirt surrounded by Coeurlclaw poachers. The pack of hunters are not at all pleased by your presence and warn you not to come any closer to them or their prey. Seeing as they intend to kill and skin the creature before them, it may be in your best interest to stop them. Notice something about these Couerlclaws? They're supposed to be all women, the Couerlclaw King's harem. But in Stormblood, there are male Couerlclaws now. I wonder what caused the shift in recruiting. Or perhaps SE wasn't paying attention. It is a singular new development that could be relevant to Keepers. Link to comment

Zone- South Shroud - Silent Arbor - Taker's Rot (30-19) A band of Miqo'te poachers has begun hunting in the Twelveswood, led by a solitary male who has crowned himself King of the Coeurlclaws. Slay the unholy sovereign and send his subjects scampering. https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/The_Coeurl_King There very well could be a new Coeurl King then; or at the very least- they've regrouped and someone else is running it. I don't think the FATE outcomes are established canon. For example, we beat Svara all the time in the Steel Vigil, but she is actually definitively defeated in the MCH chain, in the quest Securing the Locks. In addition, the Couerlclaw King FATE has been up for a while, but you also get the Moogle Mail quest where he shows up. 1 Link to comment

That... is interesting. Knee-jerk reaction is to say slip up? But uh, this might be one for Fernehalwes to answer. Link to comment
