Hello new friends!

 

I am a role playing veteran that has been doing novel based role playing for twenty years. I really enjoy writing and creating characters but I am also a gamer and a streamer. My community has requested role playing at some point, however, since I have never role played on FFXIV I wanted to try and see if there was anyone who would be willing to accept a new role player as a partner. 

 

MMORPG Background:

 

My  role playing days started back with World of Warcraft but I quickly fell out of love with it when my friends decided to venture towards other genres. I decided to try playing MMORPG's again with Final Fantasy XIV last year and have  enjoyed just about everything it includes. Since then I have tried a few other games such as Elder Scrolls and Black Desert Online but not have that wonderful FFXIV vibe.

 

RP Background

I started 'role playing' as myself with my friends back in the Yahoo IM days, yes I am that old! I technically wouldn't consider it role playing since there was no depth, no plot, no characters, just a bunch of kids trying to have fun on hot Arizona days. When I learned about Gaiaonline was when the world of role playing really opened up for me. I enjoyed creating characters that were vastly different from each other. It was a wonderful and exciting process to shape them and flesh them out until they felt real to me. I have been role playing on that site on and off for twenty years. Periodically I branched out to try some other websites in order to touch genres that styles that were forbidden on Gaiaonline and I can honestly say I am pretty comfortable at writing almost all the genres although sci-fi does take a little longer. 

 

Character Ideas and Info

 

My characters are carefully crafted to suit the plot in which they will partake. This is entirely knew to me. My character I wish to role play with is on Adamantoise and her name is Winry Ella. I have not put together a story for her, her personality traits, basically she is an empty shell waiting to be filled. I will say that I absolutely love flawed characters that have a more realistic appeal to them. My ladies and gentlemen tend to have just as many negative traits as they do positive and some can be downright mischievous. I look forward to working on Winry Ella in the very near future. 

 

How did you learn about the coalition?

 

Google, google, and more google. There were some reddit threads that recommended this site for new role players.

 

What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? (e.g. Light, medium, or heavy)

 

I will confess that I am not sure what this exactly entails. When in character I stay in character completely but if I need to break character then I (( for OOC)).  I won't be online every day since I am a streamer and my main games are Dead by Daylight and now Smite, but I hope to work more of FFXIV into my schedule. 

 

Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc.)

 

I am in my 30s so my style of writing and characters tend to be more mature, however, I am just as comfortable playing someone in their 40s as I am a teenager. I enjoy role playing with my novel based partners in my free time though that has been reduced with my heavy streaming schedule. I am a Twitch affiliate and I absolutely love making new friends.
