jenova New to RP [Jenova]

Hey all!

I’m an absolute newb when it comes to FFXIV RP, but I’d love to find a group willing to put up with me while I learn the ropes, haha. 
I’ve been playing FFXIV off and on again since the ARR launch. Played on Leviathan, Gilgamesh and now here I am on Jenova. 

I’ve roleplayed in smaller games (Furcadia, RO, etc.) but have yet to find a group on FFXIV. 
(I set up an Instagram for my character, if anyone would like to follow my travels. I’m hoping to set it up as a completely RP account.)

 

Character ideas/info:

Name: Oswaldyn Ze

Nicknames: Os, Ossy, Ozzy, Ozzay

•       A medium height, male Hyur with hair the color of steel, mid-length.
•        His face is typically adorned with rose-colored glasses and his signature suspenders. 
(Colors may vary)
•         Growing up in the outskirts of Ul’Dah, in the arid lands of Aldenard, he lived a simple life, having an innate knack for Geomancy. This led to his fascination with metals and gems, pushing him to become a proficient miner from a young age. 
•         Now grown, Os traveled to the Ul’Dahn capital where has has studied many trades, while still maintaining his affinity for mining. 
Having difficulty controlling his natural magical abilities and developing a need to properly defend himself from the beasts of the outside world, he sought out help from the various magical Guilds, beginning with Thaumaturgy. 
•          He studied the art of chaotic magic tirelessly, for what seemed like years, never ending. 
•          After finally mastering the art, he was awarded the title of Black Mage.

How did you learn about us?

Honestly? Google from 4 years ago. 
But then I took a massive hiatus. 

 

What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? 

•         Depends on the dynamic of the group, I suppose. Casual is probably where I’ll end up, but I’d like to find a group to develop and build my character’s story with. 
•          Looking for a “Company/Merchant” RP mainly

•          My plan, for myself, is to buy a house and turn it into the Merchant HQ (or join one if you already exist lol)
