Hi! I'm Myst.

 

MMORPG background:

I came to FF14 in summer 2000 as a wow refugee. At the time, I was tired of sloppy retconed and actively conflicting lore breaking my characters, and the general immaturity/toxicity found in the wow player base. I was practically kicking and screaming 'no more mmorpgs' when a friend encouraged me to try out FF14 during the summer free trial. I fell in love with the atmosphere and lore consistency almost immediately.

 

RP experience

Before that, I had nearly a decade of experience in forum rp. I still really enjoy the slower pace and more in-depth thought processes of forum, but in-game rp has a nice charm too. 

 

I have a handful of characters that I am looking to develop further in rp interactions. I aim to be a light to medium rper. I want to be a heavy rper because collaborative story telling is my favorite hobby- but I am a business writer irl, so my work-life balance is very important.
 

Currently my Mateus character list is:

• Myst Lastleaf (my main. I go my her name for simplicity given she is my main/mascot.) Miqo'te Keeper and an assistant to Eirene Charbonneau. 
• Lyof Iryot: Viera huntress, exile of the Wood
• Toului Himaa: Xaela dancer and twin to Yisan Himaa. 
• Lelesha Lesha: Money grubbing lalafell and mission specialist. Her primary purpose is creating minor events and nudging rp goals along.

 

Now that I am getting more familiar with the community and more secure in the game itself, I'm looking forward to expanding my horizons and meeting new people.
