"Oof! Uh...eh, heh heh... Hi there!!" she says with a wide grin and blushing cheeks as she stands, dusting off her knees and palms.

 

*looks around the forums with large, curious eyes*

 

"Oh my! This place looks interesting...even promising...I wonder... "

 

 

 

(( Hello out there forum peoples! Ever since recently leaving my old MMO and RP group because of reasons that I won't get into here, I've been reluctant to jump back into the whole RP scene and community. But one of my friends who is already a member here told me about this site. It seems really nice! Creative, helpful people all around from what i've seen. :D I've already been excitedly waiting for ARR to be released all year, I can't believe it didn't occur to me to check into an RP community for FFxiv. Mostly due to my attention being taken up by my former group and game.

 

Anyroad, I'm not unfamiliar with the FF series but I only briefly played xiv 1.0. Mostly, i've only played the titles from VII on. I missed out on the earliest ones. >_<

 

I'm a little unsure about my character, which is a problem that strangely I don't mind having, I'm not sure if i should play the character I've been RPing for the last year or if I should start a whole new concept. My current main would translate easily to the world of Eorzea, and I'm also emotionally invested in her story at this point. But starting from a clean slate also sounds good. Meh, I just don't know. :/ It's fun to figure out though! hehe

 

Well yea, I think that's all for this introduction. Can't wait to talk with you all more here on the forums and in game! ))

Sounds like you're almost decidedly going to make a female feline or Lalafell for your stumbling character. :D

but hey, cats have excellent balance, shouldn't be stumbling easily.

You will be right at home here. There has been a lot of new arrivals(myself included) that have been in other RP communities and are looking for something fresh and new. 

 

This community has been a breath of fresh air for me and I am sure you will feel the same way.

 

If you need help with anything let us know! There is a lot of awesome people on Hydaelyn.

 

In terms of character development, maybe check out this page; the lore/information section with the links might help with ideas and help you decide on what you want to do!

@Falkner  haha that's so funny you say that! I'm having trouble deciding between those two races right now! :blush:  I'm  using my friend's benchmark file to play around with character creation to see what looks suit best :D

@Felix  thank you for the links! I've definatly got some research to do but i'm very hopeful for this new start in ARR  :lol:

I wish it was time for launch already!! :dazed:

Oh I'm totally glad it's just a ball of dust!

I thought it is some kind of spore that will attach to the crack in the wall and grows a pink mold which gives a sweet smell of candy to your room,

that or some kind of germ that infects you with a flu that makes you craves cotton candy and turns your skin pink for three days.

Hi, Aether!  Why don't you tell us a bit more about the kind of RP you like?  Would you consider yourself heavy, light-hearted and humorous, or something in between?

Of course! :D 

 

As far as what kind of RP, I guess I would have to say heavy. Yea, definatly heavy. But I still like light-heartedness and humor in my RP too though, just because i'm like, 80% IC doesn't mean that it's grimness and gloom all the time.

 

It's a balance. I need the darker, more serious storylines for interest. It wouldn't be much fun if nothing was happening after all.

 

But I don't want to be serious and depressed the whole time I'm IC either :P hehe

Oh, as for what you've described, it sounds to me like you'd find most of the linkshells on either server to your liking. As much as I'd like to insert a thinly veiled Gilgamesh advertisement, I can't really think of an excuse, in your case. You're certain to be welcomed anywhere.
