B'rahz Posted August 27, 2013 Share #26 Posted August 27, 2013 It is frustrating that, for reasons unknown, SE seems bent against implementing an afk-timeout function. I know that they supported "botting" in FFXI but you would think that, with login trouble being the way it is currently, they would do something about the horde of afk-camped people bogging the rest of us down all day. It's very disconcerting. I love the way the game plays, and I'm very excited about it, but that excitement is growing nervous as the company attitude continues to show signs of apathy toward the NA/EU players. ForestGuardian Posted August 27, 2013 Share #29 Posted August 27, 2013 How long should I expect to wait to get into Balmung? I don't wanna go anywhere else, even for an alt. Why aren't there queues? Why do they expect that we'll KNOW when a spot for us frees up? x-x Link to comment

Why do they expect that we'll KNOW when a spot for us frees up? x-x I've seen queues before. I think the queues are full, too. As for your first question, I'll let my friend answer... Darcrathon Posted August 29, 2013 Share #32 Posted August 29, 2013 From what I have seen the ques are either too full or don't always work so might as well forget trying to use them. And on the whole AFK thing you would think (at least most PC gamers) wouldn't want to leave their PCs on all night and have the decency to get off and let some other people on you know take turns in a way to the severs get into peak condition, but alas people have to be rude and stay on for 5 days in a row even if they aren't playing. And to touch on the NA/EU severs they are going to be implumenting all the sever upgrades to them all just cause they say JP sever doesn't mean they are only doing something to them. That would just be dumn on SE's part. Link to comment
Trizzip Posted August 29, 2013 Share #33 Posted August 29, 2013 When I see people lined up for an instance that can only be accessed one at a time, I swell with pride at the community I am a part of on Balmung. However, I have recently been punched in the face with a fist of hypocrisy when I see so many of our 'own' community staying logged in so that they don't have to deal with 1017. This is selfish, plain and simple. If everybody logged off when they were done playing, everything would be so much better. /le sigh 1 Link to comment
