And it's a bad launch if you include the problems with EA. I mean, I'm all for defending Square's efforts, but when I think 'smooth launches' I think closer to GW 2.

 

This isn't as bad as I think a lot of people's rage is making it, but I wouldn't call it 'smooth'.

It launches today though. Early access isn't a launch. And aside from them shutting down character creation on servers with huge populations, I haven't experienced any issues.

This podcast isn't about bashing the game, they actually all seem to like it.

Every MMO launch I've played in the past half dozen years, people have been saying the same thing...

I appreciate the positivity, but I have to disagree.

The amount of people being locked out is stupidly high, and I have never seen that before.

True, I haven't seen much else in terms of bugs, but keeping in mind the importance of that one major issue and the fact that it's a re-launch, not a brand new game, the only worse launch I've seen recently was TSW's.

I completely agree with Pat (if you're familiar with who is in this broadcast, that is).

 

It would be a little naive to think that this was going to go as exquisitely smoothly as we'd all want it to, but the nice thing about this is that it's not going to last forever, right? The game has already improved so, so much, and as the optimist I am, I'd like to think that it can only keep getting better. THERE IS HOPE, YET.
