Kashemia Posted August 27, 2010 Share #26 Posted August 27, 2010 That's great news! Almost everything a roleplayer could ask for Very nice to see! Link to comment
Satisiun Posted August 27, 2010 Author Share #27 Posted August 27, 2010 There is just one thing I am still curious about, though, now that I think about it. Whether or not "motion" will be in FFXIV. I didn't see anything in the updated player manual that would lead me to believe it is. It's not a big deal in the end. But being able to laugh, cry, poke, cheer, or do other things without the text window saying it is still nice, especially if you don't want emote text stepping on what you wrote in your ongoing RP activity, y'know? Asyria Posted August 27, 2010 Share #28 Posted August 27, 2010 Well there's tons of emotes with motions, they just don't have / commands right now... or are they going to have them now? Link to comment
Tadir Posted August 27, 2010 Share #29 Posted August 27, 2010 He means like "/panic motion" It does the movement without the text. Link to comment
Asyria Posted August 27, 2010 Share #30 Posted August 27, 2010 It does? I know some do have text, I haven't really looked for all of them as I was in a spammy area and mostly looked at the character. Link to comment
Aveline Posted August 27, 2010 Share #31 Posted August 27, 2010 You guys were quick with the emotes list! Here is a full one anyway, since I've already uploaded Link to comment
Tadir Posted August 27, 2010 Share #32 Posted August 27, 2010 I love that there is a /meh emote. Link to comment
Iroh Posted August 27, 2010 Share #33 Posted August 27, 2010 I love that there is a /meh emote. It is funny, but actually it just acts as "/confused" in other games. When you target someone and use it you get like "You are confused by so and so" or "You don't understand so and so" or something along those lines. Link to comment
Tadir Posted August 27, 2010 Share #34 Posted August 27, 2010 Aww. That's disapointing. It would be better if it showed up as is indifferent. Link to comment
Satisiun Posted August 27, 2010 Author Share #35 Posted August 27, 2010 He means like "/panic motion" It does the movement without the text. Hah. Thanks for clearing that up for me, Tadir. I keep seeming to whiff in the explanation department in this thread. But, yeah. "/poke motion", "/laugh motion", "/think motion", things like that, all remove the text that goes along with the motions the character makes. It's very convenient so you don't end up, say, writing how your character is waving in welcome, but then your used emote (/wave) has an automatic text that assumes all waving is good-bye. Averis Posted August 28, 2010 Share #36 Posted August 28, 2010 "motion" was a subcommand that was also in XI and it's really great to see it and the other commands return. *is very happy* Link to comment
