Kismet Posted November 2, 2013 Share #76 Posted November 2, 2013 Not like dyes even have a purpose really since you can't dye endgame gear. *grumbles* This x 500. I don't care if SE supposedly says that they want certain pieces to look "iconic". If that's truly how they feel, they shouldn't tease us by having NPCs strut around in multiple colored versions of the Acolyte's Robe and whatnot. (It's not endgame armor, but the general point still stands!) Making several colored textures for the same piece of armor is NOT difficult. *starts grumbling too* Link to comment

synaesthetic Posted November 2, 2013 Share #78 Posted November 2, 2013 NPCs already have palette-shifted versions of artifact armor, so I don't see an issue with allowing everything to be dyeable. Link to comment

BLM AF2 (Sorcerer's Attire, purchased with mythology tomes) is dark navy blue and has a matte texture rather than the shiny/leathery texture of AF1. It looks so much nicer. Link to comment

Screenshots or it didn't happen! But yeah. I want that, and then I want a /visor option to make the face go dark, with that one glowing yellow eye. (Hee.) It could work similarly to the All Saints' pumpkinhead hats, if anybody else noticed what /visor does with those. More on topic, I wonder what the reasoning is behind leve experience being so low compared to FATEs? You'd think the fact that they're so limited would be enough to offset any notion of them becoming a means of "easymode" leveling. Mindlessly zerging FATEs is easy enough, but it's so boring I can practically feel my soul being sucked away. Link to comment

Either that, or that the developers didn't realize how unpopular Leves would be for the Battle classes with so little XP. I want to believe that it's just an oversight, and that it'll be fixed later (much like Gathering leves were fixed with the last patch). Link to comment
Ildur Posted November 4, 2013 Share #86 Posted November 4, 2013 It might be deliberate. Battlecraft leves spawn new mobs for the character/party doing them. If they were the go-to method of levelling, the fields would be filled with those untargeteable mobs. I'm not sure if that would strain the server in any way, but it could get really silly really fast if too many people used them. Link to comment
