Nel Celestine Posted September 4, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2010 Hello! I'm currently working on the Radio Show Tales from Eorzea and looking for 'Interns' so to speak. First and Foremost I'm looking for a Talented Co-writer, after all, we all hit writers block and an assistant to help move the story along by bouncing ideas back and forth would be super helpful. Secondly, I need another 'Actor' to play the roll of Narrator. If there are a lot of people for that position there might a casting call where you'll read the lines and myself and Urth (my Co-actor) will determine who we think will be best for the role. Thanks in advance for your support! Nel Celestine Link to comment
Tadir Posted September 4, 2010 Share #2 Posted September 4, 2010 You should get in contact with mason. He has a similar work going on that is being covered by ...is it Eorzeapedia? Something like that. Aetherite radio. You should get together and compare notes. viewforum.php?f=21 Link to comment
Nel Celestine Posted September 4, 2010 Author Share #3 Posted September 4, 2010 Yes, he's the one that sent me here. He's doing a show ~about Roleplay~ my show ~will be~ role play. Like an Old Fashioned Radio Drama. Link to comment
Tadir Posted September 4, 2010 Share #4 Posted September 4, 2010 Oh that's absolutely wonderful! Well, I'm the editor of our IC newspaper, The Tonberry's Lantern. Maybe we could work on some collaborative stuff sometime? I'm excited about your show much more now. Link to comment
Nel Celestine Posted September 4, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted September 4, 2010 Sounds great! I'd love to do some collaborative work! Get the RPC involved in the podcast and even have outcomes and play based events as a result! Link to comment
Satisiun Posted September 4, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 4, 2010 Narration? Really? You know, I've always had an interest in that. Listening to too many audiobooks when driving can do that to a guy. Mind if I throw my name in as someone who would like a chance at it? Link to comment
Nel Celestine Posted September 4, 2010 Author Share #7 Posted September 4, 2010 Sure! For the record, here is what I have so far for the Opening Narrative. The World of Eorzea is a place filled with dangers small and large. Behind every twist and turn there could be monsters and beasts that threaten the lives and safety of the average person. But to some, this is the ideal time and place to live. It is to them an age of wonder, a time of adventure, and the world is their oyaster. This is the story of two such people, who being as different as they are, spent their lives in this great age. Their names are Nel Celestine and *Urthdigger*, and this is their story. -- Cue rocking ship sounds and water splashing against the hull -- Edit: Feel free to add me on Skype "Xeres Celestia Highwind" Link to comment

And kudos if you get the joke, too. Anyway, I'll go ahead and give it a few tries on Audacity, and hopefully have a sample or two by tonight I can send via the PM system here. Link to comment
Trizzip Posted September 4, 2010 Share #9 Posted September 4, 2010 I'd be down to do the Narration voice. I'd love to help co-write, but I'm going to be out of game until PS3 release, so my creativity will be a bit hampered to relying on data from community sites. But as a speaker, I could do well. I'm not really shy when it comes to putting my voice on blast. Plus, the more I can do to contribute to Besaid, the happier I am. Link to comment
Nel Celestine Posted September 4, 2010 Author Share #10 Posted September 4, 2010 Feel free to try recording your best of that narrative. ^^ Link to comment
Tadir Posted September 4, 2010 Share #11 Posted September 4, 2010 I've done a bit of voice acting, but not much. I'll get involved to the limit I can, but my main focus is the paper. And I think we could work out some great stuff between the two mediums. Link to comment
Koti Nexus Posted September 4, 2010 Share #12 Posted September 4, 2010 *ponders, just ponders for now* When do you need this by? Do you mind a female? Any accent you want? I can do British-like accent rather well.. Even russian-ish.. And do you mind .wav files as examples? Also how much need to be said? I realize that is allot of probably unknowns, but I am interested, just need to figure out if I have the time to devote. Link to comment

Wav or MP3 works. And female voices are fine! Link to comment

Koti Nexus Posted September 4, 2010 Share #23 Posted September 4, 2010 Ok - The files are pretty large, I think around 7 megs. Gotta love wav files, but at least they are nice raw files. Here is the entire narration in Voice 3: http://www.britestarproduction.com/v3-n1.wav It's times like these I wish I had a voice like James Earl Jones And because you said that... I had to do the entire narration again in this voice: http://www.britestarproduction.com/fun-n1.wav Curse you! (Its actually tricky doing a deep voice like that, let me tell you. o_o ) ----------------- Funny thing is, when I was in Theater, my teacher told me I had a great voice for Shakespearean plays, and that he could actually see me in voice acting. I never chased it because I got into comics. Though, it is still fun. Link to comment
Nel Celestine Posted September 4, 2010 Author Share #24 Posted September 4, 2010 saved! Thanks a ton! I'll try to give until Monday for entries then pick the person we want to roll with. Even if someone doesn't get the roll don't feel bad! There will be more rolls needed in the future with guest spots, NPCs and even Villains =D Link to comment
Gerick Posted September 4, 2010 Share #25 Posted September 4, 2010 Here is a submission but its kinda quite and I don't know how to upload it so it plays on the net like foxfirestorm's. Don't laugh at my silly voice. >.< http://www.mediafire.com/?qddrm1dzr2j7xzw Link to comment
