From Out of the Shadows

I’ve been lurking for the last month or so, I think I finally feel comfortable with my lore knowledge base to make my RP debut. I’ve been RPing since before MMo’s even existed which dates me a bit. RPing is an itch that I need scratched, so I’m here to get it scratched.

 

The basic idea behind my character is her parents left Ala Mhigo early in Theodorac’s rule. As followers of Thaliak they felt they had little option but to leave in the face of religious persecution that was one of the hallmarks of Theodorac’s reign. Brighid remembers very little of Al Mhigo beyond vague memories of the mountain vistas. After leaving Al Mhigo her parents led a somewhat bohemian lifestyle going from the major cities usually catching on in the academic centers as teachers before moving on.

 

Due her practically nomadic childhood Brighid doesn’t feel any real connection to any one place but more of Eorzea as a whole.

Since you've been lurking a while i'll skip my usual flood of links, though if you are curious for opinions on a particular group i'm sure some one will chime in before long to speak up.

 

You'll find many people here who have been RPing before or in different environments than MMOs, I got my start as a kid at a bi-weekly DnD campaign my uncle hosted with his older friends. (Yes I was THAT kid who tagged along, but I like to think by occasional bouts of dwarfy shenanigans were entertaining.) So hopefully you'll find some along your lines to reminisce with, remember Zork? hot damn... I should put DoSBOX on my work machine..

 

But I digress, I hope you meet many interesting people, both here and in the world proper. As always please feel free to ask any questions you have, maybe sign up for a linkshell or two, flag some people down in game. Best of luck in your journey :chocobo:
