TheWizard Posted January 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2014 I tried logging into the wiki with my RPC credentials but it didn't recognize me so I was wondering if perhaps I did something wrong? Any help appreciated. Link to comment
Sophia_Grave Posted January 21, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2014 Mediawiki recognizes underscores as spaces in usernames; basically, you're username is untranslatable to the wiki since your username has an underscore but it can't actually read underscores. I have the same problem. I don't know if whoever runs the wiki is still active, but they have to manually change some code to get it to recognize underscores. In the meantime, you can do what I did and make a second username just for the wiki. Link to comment
Almil Posted January 21, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 21, 2014 Or edit the current username here? Link to comment
TheWizard Posted January 21, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted January 21, 2014 Hmm I suppose I could try that. Link to comment
Kylin Posted January 21, 2014 Share #5 Posted January 21, 2014 You'll have to change your username here via the control panel to get rid of the underscore. There's an option in the user control panel on the left side in the menu. Edit: There is a coding fix for this problem available to avoid username changes. But I do not have the time to complete it right now. I will probably look into it next week or sometime after, or if I'm still short on time, pass the code off to Freelance to fix it. Link to comment
TheWizard Posted January 21, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted January 21, 2014 I removed the underscore and it worked! Thank you very much. Link to comment
