Ivalice Trading Company hrm? do you do a tie to the name in game or just a play on my favorite worlds name for the same of capturing the attention of so many fans? Either way, a good choice!

 

Glad to hear you've had the chance to explore Balmung for a while now, hopefully you've already met plenty of interesting people. With your RP experience i'm sure the interaction were interesting. When you mention making a profile, I presume you meen a character entry on the wiki? they're high traffic and a great way to provide others a way to "plan" an interaction.

That is an RP handbook by Eva, you've likely encountered many of the ideas that shes covered in your long journey through the world of story telling but I still think that a short review of some of the Eorzea specific elements can be useful, if only for the chance to see how another mind handles the same ideas.

 

As far as communities go, i'm sure the linkshell hall [with a bit of reading] will do you better than I ever could, but i'd like to throw two fairly common ones your way. Both OOC, and both about getting to know your fellow player, just in different ways.

"Intermission" is the grandest of all water coolers, so grand in fact there are two, maybe find out who else is in the area of Thals Respite, or if some ones going to be around the south shroud to help with a FATE, maybe just talk about why edward norton was the superior Hulk, who knows!

"Balmungs Finest" is all about PVE, dungeons, primals, Coil, that damn maze that just refuses to drop my robe! if you need a group to farm gear, tomes or just have a laugh plowing through some Primals on your way to your 5th Relic, theres a chance you'll find some people here. I like the opportunity to build ties in the server before reaching out to PUGs, and if you're the same, hopefully you'll have a good time.

 

Hrm, I could swear i'm missing something, but hopefully that gives you an idea of whats out there and I haven't bored your ear off.
