Noblesse Ascendant

Recommended Posts

Nako has tutored for noble families before, from the classics (language, georgraphy, history, writing etc) to more arcane studies, if the child had the gift, and sometimes even if they did not (for some parents simply refuse to believe their child isn't magical.) so has some connections with noble families across the realms, though primarily in Ul'dah.

He is has also been around military most of his life, serving as both a contractor and now a full time officer of the Immortal Flames (as well as some more dubious work for a sister organisation that is now non-existant) so has spent time at officers balls etc.

so I would be more than happy to help out, I've been looking for more rp as it is anyways xD

Ah, very good~ not only would it be helpful to have another member of the Flames allied with her (and another officer no less!), but anyone with connections to noble families in Ul'dah is bound to be useful. Additionally! Anstarra's taken a page/retainer under her wing, and is helping to tutor her in noble comportment; Nako'li could no doubt be of aid in that respect as well!

C'kayah is becoming a powerful figure in the Ul'dahn underworld, with connections throughout Eorzea. He'd leap at the chance to help an up-and-coming noblewoman. Gil may be king in Thanalan, but favors are the only true currency...

One should never underestimate the benefits of shady alliances; after all, the difference between criminals and nobles in Ul'dah is often a matter of propaganda and little else (and many are simply both). Anstarra doesn't YET have any shady deals running, but you never know what kinds of friends you might need to have...

I'm curious to know whether or not there's been any progress made towards Anstarra's goals~!

I've been on a bit of a hiatus, things have been busy =3 But, there has indeed been progress. A good bit has been 'behind the curtain' so to speak, but it would cheer me to RP more things out. I'll be back to posting updates and setting dates soon~

UPDATE:

It's been some time that this has been dead, in large part because I went away. I went through some major personal issues, and sorta disappeared for a while, stopped playing for a solid chunk of time. As for how this translated ICly, there's no great stretch of imagination required: Anstarra herself disappeared, along with her principle retainer, Allistair, who was helping make her contacts.

Eventually, some moons later, Anstarra returned. A changed woman in some ways, mostly internal, but the face she shows the world hasn't really altered. That said, she hasn't been in a hurry to get back in the public eye; she's put herself more fully into her job with the Harbingers of the Dawn, along with some side-projects, including helping the ever-dubious Verad Bellveil in a caper, and helping several of her fellows, including Verad, Harbingers, and huntresses from the Morbolvine Clan keep desperate Ala Mhigan refugees from starting a war in the Shroud.

There is much on her plate, but she has nonetheless instructed Allistair (who has returned as well, in all his efficacious and semi-pompous Elezen glory) to discreetly cast out her nets and see if any of her old contacts, or new ones, get in touch. Verad's involvement (and enmity) with dangerous and corrupt elements of Ul'dah society has convinced her that she may yet be of greater help to him. It wouldn't do, after all, for her favorite purveyor of all things dubious (including backgrounds) to suffer more permanent harm than he already has...
