The Scorched Earth Needs Work... (Antagonist FC)

A simple envelope with no distinct markings of any sort sits casually in your mailbox. There is nothing that marks it as any more or less important than any other letter you have as it sits, unassumingly, amongst letters from friends and various invitations to social events. When you open the envelope you discover it contains a short note in black ink lettering that, did it not look so precise and carefully scrawled, might even be described as 'lovely'.

 

I have been made aware of the setbacks you are having. Believe me when I say that our ambitions are the same. I would like nothing more than to see you succeed and I believe I  have the solution to your troublesome problem.

 

If this offer is appealing to you send a representative to Buscarron’s Druthers this evening. Tell them to respond to the question “Are you well this evening?” with “ ‘Till all turns to ash”.

OOC: The Scorched Earth is an antagonist free company/linkshell that behaves as mercenaries/assassins. While they have their own purposes as well, they also can be hired out by ambitious, morally corrupt individuals who need to sway odds in their favor (such as politicians or businessmen who want to see their competition go down). In order to protect themselves, the leaders often work through middlemen or send out grunts from the organization to meet with prospective employers. 

 

If you have a free company, linkshell group, or individual that your villainous character would like to hire The Scorched Earth to cause problems for, let us know! ((But make sure it's OK with them. This is a fun way to create RP plots; we are not interested in harassing players or actually being unkind in any OOC to anyone)).

 

Additionally, if you run a free company or linkshell full of similarly villainous characters and think an alliance with The Scorched Earth could be fun let me know about that too!

 

We're very new and we're in the process of recruiting as well. If you have an alt that you'd like to throw into the Scorched Earth (whether as a hired assassin or a middleman character) contact me. We have a Free Company for those alts that need a home and want to belong exclusively to The Scorched Earth, but we also have a Linkshell for those who want to behave as moles, information brokers or free-agent middlemen.

I like this idea, I miss having antagonists (something we used to have a lot in our FC, though still occasionally get).

 

However, only just saw one of your guys IC and apparently I've been hired to do a job, now I learn we're dealing with 'bad' guys (I know we're not lawful, but we like to think we stand up for what's right) could lead to an interesting arc.
