Hello!  Avis was a rich kid who grew up in Ul'dah but mixed around with the riffraff (sometimes just to annoy her parents), so they might have known each other! 

 

She's no longer based in Ul'dah, though, though she returns once in a long while (it's a love-hate relationship).
