Amy RP communities outside Gilgamesh and Balmung?

So my husband and I decided to start playing again and roll new characters since it had been awhile since we last played. We would love to play on one of the RP servers, but I have noticed character creation is restricted and you cannot transfer characters to those servers either.

 

Should we just wait for the RP servers to open back up for creation and transfer? How long do you think we will have to wait? Or are there are other servers with RP communities on them? One of the main things we enjoy in game is RP and having the ability to interact with other players, so going it solo on some random server is going to be rather lonely.

This gets tricky. ...you'll likely find smaller RP communities on any of the English-speaking servers, but Balmung and Gilgamesh are going to have the largest ones because they are the most advertised.

 

As far as getting on the servers, your best chance is around very early morning "American" time. (Anything between PST to EST)

 

I've personally had the most luck at about 3AM PST / 6AM EST. 

 

For Balmung, the server will typically only be open during the middle of the week, Tuesday to Thursday at even this awful time. It's just.....really full. :
