  1. I've been on Balmung since the free server migrations in 2013 from Gungnir. At first, I only transferred into the server because my 1st FC chose the server. Soon after I left that FC and found my first RP FC. Over the years, I've been a part of several RP FCs which have been a mix of good, great, and not so great experiences. I came onto FLEET about a year and half ago (possibly longer) and I will say that they are one of the best spaces on Balmung. The people are by and large open, friendly, funny, and respectful. Events are organized well and have good structure (Disclaimer I have run a one-off event here and there for the FC). Open RP nights are good chances for people to meet and create more emergent RP. Finally, as someone who hasn't had time to devote to RP (and have focused on PvE content), I still feel part of the community at large. If you have any interest in the Maelstrom or roleplaying in the Limsa Lominsan context, FLEET is a great linkshell/FC to anchor your vessel.
  2. Within the Dutiful Sisters of the Eidelweiss a fresh note is plastered on the wall: "Auntie went on a trip to the Lake and found herself laden with souvenirs. She could use a bit of help bringing it back home." I'm going to hold a mini event for interested Rogues Guild members related to the larger investigation event held by and the Maelstrom Command LS. When: Friday, September 9 from 4-6PM EDT (1-3PM PDT, 9-11 PM BST, 10-12 CEST) Meet: Camp Bronze Lake There will be some in game RP combat as well as investigation. Any questions, please send a tell to Jordan Kennedy in-game.
  3. Sangha is a Free Company on Balmung that is focused on two main things: creating a safe space for players to collaborate and enjoy the game free from the vicissitudes present in MMO play and having a defined, but open narrative for players to express themselves. Sangha is a mercenary group that takes jobs which, at times seems questionable. Nevertheless the company has always erred on the side of doing the right thing and has fought to preserve Eorzea. Will this always be the case? Who is pulling the strings? When the chips of down, what will the brave members of the company do to complete the mission? And what of the aftermath? We're a small Rank 8 company with members from all across North America and Europe (Events are typically scheduled early afternoon Pacific/Evening GMT). We have a Company House in Gridania and have members who work on progression content and PVP. Crafters are important and those whose main focus is crafting/gathering are welcome as well to RP. That said, our main focus is RP and cultivating a safe space for players from a variety of backgrounds. If you're interested in learning more, visit us at http://sangha.boards.net or PM Jordan Kennedy, Mikha Sunthistle, or Sabik Delanor in game. Thanks, Jordan Kennedy Leader, Sangha.
