Hi there and welcome to the RPC! It's good to hear we are being talked about in game (but again I'm not surprised, the more the merrier, FREE PROMOTION!. You'll find all you need here to help you get well settled into the FFXIV storylines and Lore and such, a really good archive of stuff! I still fairly new and loving all the reading I can do. I am just like you, one gaming and one RP. I've kept my legacy character for gaming (no hard work needed there as he's well established, woohoo) and starting afresh on RP servier. Welcome to the RPC! I hope you have fun here and feel free to ask questions, everyone is more than willing to help you out! If it helps you out, I am a legacy member, but I am starting a fresh character on Balmung. I don't think Legacy or non-Legacy members will have any problem going to either server as everyone will want to play with eah other, regardless of level. You character can have legacy members to look up to, as well as giving Legacy members the support like new recruits to a club. As I am putting my Legacy character of a non-roleplay server, I feel pretty confident starting on Balmung as a fresh character.

Don't worry, man. You aren't missing much. Besides, FF is all you need. I'm new too. I'm glad to see all the interest in this site with other from so many other new players, and I'm super excited to get this going. Now if only phase 4 was up. Grrrr. So welcome aboard! Hey there and welcome to the RPC! I'm still new aswell but I had to comment on your creativity. You have already started throwing around ideas which, according to Lore, may be inconventional, but it's good to see people thinking outside the box but being wary of detroying an established history. I am in a similar position, throwing things around to give characters an established background which is a good ground for thier future. I hope to see how your character grows!

I. Basic Info Characters: Seto Verasse. Primary character: Seto Verasse. Linkshells: N/A, seeking. Primary RP linkshell: N/A, seeking. II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to heavy depending on times and mood. As long as it's fun and alive, along with the time to everyone can invest into it, I'm happy with any type of roleplay. Views on RP combat and injuries: Injuries can happen and would happen in a real-life situation. As long as they are beleive and maintainable without being over the top or dramatic then they should work. They can help build trust, relationships and character during treatment. Views on IC romance: Characters can fall in love and I would happily have my character enter into a roleplay romance, as long as it stay professional with the roleplay and not personal. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Where as Seto's only family is his borther (who will be a roleplayer), ties to other people from tribes are not out of the question as it can happen. Views on lore: Where as Lore can be built open and in certain ways manipulted, it should never be drastically be changed or ignore. Lore helps build a foundation to a story and I beleive it should be maintained, even if not referred to. As long as an idea is agreeable and reasonable to all players I cannot see why they can't be discussed and worked on. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): There needs to be away where people can interact OOC without interupting IC. So /say is IC, /tell can be OOC or IC and linkshells the same. It really depends on the setup. III. It's only been two days since I made him (I based my roleplay around another character, different race so starting from fresh) so I'd love a second eye on it.

This is my RP character, Seto. Couldn't help fall in love with him after testing out the race on last beta test. ♥ My main character, Ryn Sidell. I changed him slighly from 1.0, making him look more mature than boyish and give him the scruff on his chin. Dha'lont Drayden, a backup character. I mostly use him when doing fanwork for Ryn.

Secondly, thanks for reading this, third off, thanks for any replies of welcome and helpful links and stuff, it's much appreciated! ^^ --MMORPG background I'll be up front an honest; FFXI and FFXIV are the only MMOs I have played. >.> --RP experience I have done a lot of roleplays through different mediums. It start on the old Yahoo Groups messaging forums, then through instant messengers like MSN and AIM to email, SMS ad most recently, tumblr. So I feel I have a fair decent expereince it RPs. I have only RP'd in FFXI and FFXIV a very small bit. I tried to have a FFXIV 1.0 tumblr blog as part of my RP but didn't have many RP people to play with. --Character ideas/info I have a main 1.0 character, Ryn Sidell, which I am moving over to Ragnarok. As he will be a monstly established player, I'm keeping him from main game (it was a hard choice not to RP as him but OH BOY with I trialed a miqo'te I couldn't resist). My RP character will be a male miqo'te by the name of Seto Verasse, and I have been working on his background for the last two days now (in my head) and excited tog et him on the wiki. --How did you learn about the coalition? A friend of mine roleplays on the FFXI servers and told me she would be on FFXIV. I was never on the right servers for FFXI and FFXIV so I thought I'd make sure I was.
