1. The Resistance Soldier M'auni Tia has fought for the resistance for several years and against the grip of the Empire for even longer. He knows war; he knows battle; he knows blood. Now an aged veteran, the Seeker of the Sun has joined with the Order of the Twin Adders to lend his arm to the Eorzeans who came to aid Ala Mhigo, despite the history of conflict between their people as well as seek out a name for himself and make to repay their kindness—even if he thinks it a debt left far too long unpaid. Thank you for clicking my ad! I'm looking for RP contacts on Mateus for my Seeker of the Sun. I consider myself a heavy, lore-abiding role-player and love interacting with similar types [lore bending is fine to me, as I have done it in the past, but lore breaking just takes me out of it. Nothing personal!]. I do role-play all manner of things and enjoy having my characters in a variety of situations (because sometimes real life just has you in places you're awkward in), so anything from super serious and dramatic role-play to lighthearted, slice of life stuff and anything in between! I do also do content and would love to find people that engage in content as well to join in with! Roulettes, leveling jobs, extreme primals, farming, and (tackling) Savage all included. Eureka is a maybe. Lots of alcohol involved preferably. RP Hooks: Ala Mhigo! Anyone involved directly or that indirectly aided the Ala Mhigan Resistance, as well as any native Gyr Abanian folk. He is from The Peering Stones himself, but considers himself Ala Mhigan because of how long he has fought for their cause. Engineers, machinists, blacksmiths — basically anyone interested in salvaged magitek scraps. This extends to people in the "black market" as well. So long as he knows he isn't selling back to the Garleans, he's eager to make his coin with trade of both materials and firearms. Order of the Twin Adders (and to a lesser extent, the remaining Grand Companies and Temple Knights of Ishgard). Having been aided by these Grand Companies during the fight for Ala Mhigo, he has given himself to their causes as well—going so far as to join the Order of the Twin Adders because of their shared border with Gyr Abania. Random walk up! While he has his demons, M'auni handles himself with poise and respect while out and about. Typically well-spoken, he is known to ease up as he becomes more comfortable around people he deems as friendly, but can be quite cold and stern to those he distrusts. Garleans beware. Feel free to reach out to me in-game, by message on these forums, or over Discord! Otter#1273 is my name there.
2. The Minotaur Having spent most of his life fighting for Ala Mhigo's freedom after its subjugation (after a stint in a Garlean factory and a brief retreat to Ul'dah), Sigurd Warsong knows that the job has only just begun. He is not a man of politics. In his eyes, his duty has been served and he is ready to take leave for a short duration. Now laden with the spoils of victory (re-purposing Garlean tech or selling the metals to the burgeoning Eorzean tech proves profitable), he has returned to Ul'dah, not as a refugee, but as a tourist. There he plans to spend a few well-earned nights of rest, drinking, and frivolity before venturing to Vylbrand to sight-see. The Far East is not out of reason for him! Despite this, he knows that he will have to return to his nation. Blood, tears, and friends have been lost in the pursuit of liberation and The Minotaur (as he has been referred to a few times by friends; Warsong to others because of his odd habit of humming whilst on the battlefield) will go back home in due time to once again provide his aid in hopes of restoring Ala Mhigo to its full potential. Me Hi! Thanks for clicking on my ad. A little about me: I have been role-playing for 15+ years. While I would never say I am an expert or the best, I do take some amount of pride in my writing. Lore-bending is okay with me for the most part, but I try to stay as "inside the lines" as I can. Role-play of all kind is alright with me but I much prefer to happen organically. A few plot points here and there with a predetermined arc/end are okay for character development, but otherwise I tend to like to "go with the flow". I'm located in PST and tend to be on at random hours of the day. Typically I'm on later at night/in the super early morning hours. I enjoy all aspects of the game! Roulettes, raids, role-play; I do it all! If you're interested in chatting with me about plots, characters, and connections, I do have a discord. Sushi Thief#1273. Feel free to add me or PM me here. 3. Hello everyone! After tinkering around with character concepts, digging for lore, reading up on things and even asking here for some guidance (thanks again, Sounssy!) I have finally taken my transferred character from Balmung to Mateus and given him a fresh coat of paint. Background: He grew up in a small community of Keepers, hidden beneath the boughs of the great trees of The Black Shroud. A third born son granted him little reverence within his community and his mother urged him to begin his wandering as soon as he was able. Thus he turned to poaching alongside the Coeurlclaw until his eventual capture. He was gaoled for five years, his sentence merciful as he was eventually released to bolster the forces The Twin Adders as news came of the coming conflict in the east. A snippet of his background! A general idea of how he ended up where he is now. As a player, I'm seeking people who are lore-abiding. I hope that doesn't sound elitist, but I generally try to stay within the boundaries of the lore as much as I possibly can. Bending the lore in a few places is okay with me, usually on smaller aspects, but being the warrior of light or related to a major story character... or being a dragon, etc. I just cannot roleplay with in a fun manner. Roleplay hooks -Poacher (did you poach alongside him all those years ago?) -Twin Adder (Grand Company buddies!) - Grand Alliance (the companies mingle sometimes - Flames and Maelstrom, feel free to say hi!) -Fencer (I don't mean red mages; poachers sold their pelts to the Far East for a sizeable amount of coin. Either you are the trader taking the illegals goods there, or you traveled to Eorzea to buy them yourself) -Shroud native (certainly you have seen him standing around) Now, I am really looking for a longer term roleplay with anyone interested. Yes, I will do romance roleplay! It is not the only thing I am seeking, however; any friends, contacts, battle buddies, or even rivals may respond! I am interested in having a variety of people to roleplay with to flesh our characters out together and truly write something fun and wonderful! I am located on Discord as well, should we get talking and have interest in discussing a few things. I look forward to chatting with everyone.
4. Thanks so much! I've been giving this all a read so I can help solidify a few ideas in my head and really make him a believable character. Thanks again!!
5. So I have an idea for a Keeper of the Moon character. It's relatively small-scale (I tend to enjoy a more grounded, regular person that is thrown into greater adventures). I just need some help ironing out ideas, perhaps discussing things back and forth a bit to really flesh him out, I think. I bounced back and forth on whether he should have been a Seeker or Keeper but think I ultimately landed on Keeper because: I want him to have started small. A baby born of the Shroud who poached for food and was captured. He would essentially be jailed for a portion of his life - do we know anything about Gridania jail? Is it unbelievable that he would be jailed - would he be killed instead? The end goal, ultimately, is have him become a Twin Adder. He would be a small part of the Grand Company and actually begin to rise through the ranks as he proved himself skilled with a sword (also-- do we know anything regarding Adders abilities outside of bows? I may be interested in him learning how to wield a gun as well but that seems a bit farfetched). As a Twin Adder, he suddenly has more reason to be involved with the overarching story of the game and I can handle him as more than just a mercenary type. It would be really cool to start up Grand Company linkshells or even Free Companies if the interest was there. I digress. As a somewhat young and skilled Adder, I am uncertain as to what he might have seen. Maybe he fought in the skirmish against Ishgard? Perhaps he lent aid when the dragons came to close to Coerthas. I would imagine, without a doubt, he would be sent east to assist in the Ala Mhigan campaign.
