Wow~ Really impressive stuff! I love your style, both serious and adorably cute. For the first one, Dodo Escape, did you use water color or markers? I've been drawing for a while, but I fail hardcore at coloring and have been experimenting~
  2. The only NM i am disappointed with is the big cow, Tarbh Uisge. I'm disappointed not so far in his model (which I think is beyond badass), but more his story... All the other Notorious Monsters have really cool stories behind them, but Tarbh was just a circus attraction. It sorta reminds me of the whole King Kong thing which feels like a cop-out from SE to be honest. It would have been re-used, but making him the King of Nanny Goats like the King of Tonberry's would have been a lot cooler in my opinion. I am excited to start hunting them though. I'm still a lowbie in comparison to end-game, but it's still an exciting prospect. As far as difficulty scaling goes, I don't think it's gonna be so easy that everyone in a party of 15 can kill it. But if it works like leves (higher stars = tougher mobs) then I definitely think that getting one of those coins is gonna be a pain in the arse.... I certainly hope it's hard, anyway. Yay for challenges and rewarding ... rewards!
  3. Very true - and also, by nature we cling to beliefs to give us comfort of an otherwise grim existence (ie Religion). And in this case, though it may not be bound by a bible, I firmly believe in the conclusion a few of us in Sanctus Refero have come to: "The population may decrease, but the people who stay will be dedicated to the game. That dedication will create a stable community that we will still be able to enjoy." At the same time I also do agree with Ghunnzyr - the PS3 version is a wildcard. I think once everything is fixed and the game gets a second review for the PS3, it will draw a lot of players for both console AND PC.
  4. Sterne.Evans on Skype If you wish to add me, please let me know that you're from the RPC or FFXIV <_< I keep on getting random bots and such
  5. Everyone: Please vote on delivery dates for the Secret Santa event and also take note of the date changes.
  6. I have updated the Prelude-RP event The date is now listed as the 12th of December at 15:00 EST // 12:00 PST // 20:00 GMT Please be sure to PM me with your confirmation of attendance to the RP as I will be hounding everyone who attends the RP event for the information required to participate in this Secret Santa Event. In addition to these changes is a poll at the top of this post for the Pick up and Delivery dates of the Gifts. Please vote, lest I make another horrible scheduling decision o_o
  7. Well then they're wimps for not learning how to Club-Hop!! Just kidding. You bring up a few good points. I'll speak to officers in Sanctus Refero and see about rescheduling it to the next day or later in the evening. Luckily there's still plenty of time to get the word out.
  8. Hmm, I guess I underestimated the length of the Full Cold Moon... 5 hours seems like a long time for RP!
  9. Christmas is here. Did you bring your coat? No? Well, how unfortunate. Luckily, there's a Secret Santa Delivery for you! Wanna know what it is? Do you really want one? Then you'll just have to give one too. That's right folks. Secret Santa, a paper pusher's worst nightmare, has come to Sanctus Refero. Please sign up by PMing me either here or in-game. We'll take your name, place it into a pool, then release your assignments! If any of you don't know how Secret Santa works, well, it's a secret. So be quiet. > But there's a bonus even still! Here's the deal: -When you give your present, include a small message. When Alona or I deliver that gift, we will recite your message. Your giftee will then have 3 guesses as to who their benefactor is (roleplay, of course). If they can guess within in their 3 chances, they'll get a special gift in addition to the one you gave. If YOU stump your precious little elf, then you, the gift giver, will get a gift instead So hurry and sign up! Additional Notes: -On the day of the gift deliveries, this post will be updated with the participating members. That way it won't be a total blind guess as to who your Secret Santa is. -All gift messages will be judged on creativity. That being said you may be asked to resubmit a new message. It doesn't have to be obvious to let someone guess, but should reflect a part of your personality. -On 12/12 there will be an RP event "The Gears behind the Bars" for everyone to get to know each other. This should make the Secret Santa a little bit easier to handle. -The deadline for signing up is 12/12 during the RP Event mentioned above. You will be automatically enrolled into the Secret Santa event by attending unless otherwise specified. Alona and I will be hounding you for your messages -To clarify, in order to participate in the Secret Santa, you MUST also participate in the RP Event linked above. Merry Christmas!~
  10. I'd like to register Sanctus Refero for the Tuesday Time slot. Feel free to contact me in game tonight or tomorrow afternoon to confirm and coordinate. The location... is still pending. But I think the inner fountain/garden in Uldah would be appropriate.
  11. Summary and Novelization The sounds in the forests of The Black Shroud grew from the silent hum of nature, to a bustling onslaught of voices. Adventurers from varying backgrounds found themselves involved in a meeting of pure coincidence that could not be trusted. "Something must have brought us all here". They wondered. But what was that link? Was it the lack of memory some of them shared? No, for there were others who's memories chronicled events better than the grand libraries in Ul'dah. The night pursued on ceaselessly in debate over the question. Concerns of morality and intent cropped up among the tragic tales of each individuals time. One even suggested the absent rulers of Mor Dohna were pulling the strings. The variety and intriguing nature of all the individuals brought to The Black Shroud put that idea in question. What would Mor Dohna have to do with them? Eventually, they agreed to bring an end to the debate on go on with their lives. The importance of "Why" dwindled as the idea of "What's next" crept up with severity. Some of them considered the though of banding together to enact the phrase: "Strength in Numbers". Regardless, these adventurers will meet again, no doubt, as the Goddess Nymeia would proclaim. The problem is, when and how will it happen? After thoughts: So, this turned out to be a very basic "Linkshell forming!" RP. That wasn't my initial intention, but I'm not complaining. I'm glad that the players were able to bring it to such a sensible conclusion. I'm mulling over the thought of having multiple RP events but with smaller groups. I believe that maybe it would be easier to RP and have a more enjoyable and fruitful experience in lesser numbers. "More with Less" and all that. For those who attended and those who just simply observed, your feedback would be most appreciated. Would you prefer a more concrete story to proceed on? Do you think, "Smaller groups would equal bigger fun?" What would you have liked to do, or have been done, differently?
  12. In less than a week we have about 10 new members skyrocketing us over the 80 member mark! We're still growing and would love to meet with other Linkshell's if not welcome more people into our ranks
  13. Organized by Sterne Evans - Representing "Sanctus Refero" Location: The Black Shroud Grid: 38x50 (horizontal x vertical) Just south of Camp Tranquil[/color] November 20th 22:00 (EST)/ 19:00 (PST) รข Role Playing Event #1 Description: It's late in the day, and you're well on your way to Gridania in The Black Shroud. The walk from Ul'dah was a treacherous one, and what inspired you to walk there will evade you for some time to come. Accidentally making a wrong turn in the maze of a forest, you decide to find the nearest clearing you can find to take a short rest and think. Or maybe you keep on walking, determined to find what it is you're looking for. You remember some suns ago you heard a voice. A voice that sounds familiar yet unnerving at the same time. You don't speak of what happened to you then, but you take those words to heart. Hear. Feel. Think. Far off you can hear the soft ruckus of a camp, so you relax in knowing that there's someone near if there is any danger. Doing just as the voice dictated, you "Hear". Listening closely, you realize that you're not alone in the clearing! Purpose of Event This is the first of a regular RP event hosted by Sanctus Refero. As being the first one, some organizational things may change, as well as dates and times depending on feedback. Depending on how big the turn-out is, it may be better to pair people off instead of doing a mass group RP. This Event is open to all. There will postings on this forum, but the majority of future information will be on our linkshell website. Rules: All /say should be IC to avoid confusion. If you have a problem with someone, feel free to /tell them or escalate with a Hospitality Officer from Sanctus Refero (visit our website for that information). /Linkshell Chat will continue to be OOC. If you wish to be invited to the linkshell, please /tell any officer from Sanctus Refero
