This actually works out okay for me since it's my birthday this week, as well as my boyfriends...and our anniversary...so yeah, we'll be plenty busy doing other things and spending time at the beach before the end of summer. Seriously looking forward to playing, though. I guess just watching tv on netflix and more Animal Crossing!

My boyfriend is going to be thrilled. Yes, I'm serious. He wants the unicorn mount more than I do, which I find hilarious.

You know, I'm not really playing much of anything, MMO-wise right now. Sometimes I'll log into GW2 just to check things out but I don't stay logged on for very long. Same goes with The Secret World, though I'm very fond oft he game and I will pop in for week-long spurts to do some questing. I still play Pirate101 because I used to play Wizard101 (marketed towards kids but they're very fun strategy-based MMOs), and I'm having fun with it in the mean time. I'm kinda-sorta paying attention to Wildstar though not really, and I am VERY interested in EQNext. Oh and once in a blue moon I'll peek into Neverwinter, but I don't think I like it. Not interested in TESO at all. Besides that? Single player games I'm playing/in the middle of: Animal Crossing New Leaf and Shin Megami Tensei 4. (If you wanna swap friend codes for AC:NL, just PM me, always up for that.)

Yes! Usually after I've had my fill of PvE for a bit and need a diversion, I dive straight into the PvP. I look forward to trying it out.

So many *awesome* suggestions and lots of helpful information. I'm very excited and feeling more confident about how the system works, now. I'm pretty happy to hear that I don't need to constantly reroll if I want to make a new class. I love the flexibility.

Hi all! If any of you have seen my introduction thread, or my other posts, you'll know that I'm completely new to the world of Eorzea. Because of this, I'm feeling...a little overwhelmed, I guess, by all the choices. I'm not used to a lot of these classes. I've tried looking it up with the googles, but I guess I'm still confused what the difference is between jobs and classes? I plan on playing a Lalafell. I don't like making a bunch of new characters at launch and then jumping from one to the other in an attempt to find one I like - I kinda like getting it right the first time. That said, here's what I'm looking for. Can you help me pick the right path? - Dragoon looks very interesting, because I loved the character Freya from FFIX. I know this is a terrible thing to base the class on. Is it anything like this? Because she's the only example I have of a dragoon. - What's the difference between summoners and scholars? I see that they both have access to a pet system, which I like, but I'm wondering what the main differences are. - I want to stay away from healing classes this time around, but I love ranged dps, that tends to be the most fun for me. - I really dig flashy and I really care about my character's outward appearance and clothing options. Thank you for helping me with this.

Eep! Look at all these veterans! In a way, I'm relieved because I know there will be so many people who will KNOW what they're doing, but then again I'm also kind of scared because FFXIV is already kind of established. I alpha'd and beta'd FFXIV. I didn't even gain any levels! I feel silly about that. I just preordered FFXIV the other day so I'm doin' a happy dance.

Ditto this. I've been swimming (albeit infrequently), writing, reading a TON (currently finishing up Cory Doctorow's Homeland before moving on to more regular fantasy fair) and playing a lot of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Also, reading up on game lore and prepping for getting my characters together

Lalafell. I'm interested in a lot of the classes/jobs right now, especially summoner and dragoon. So something like that. I've had my fair share of healing characters in the past and I kind of would like a break from that, at least for now. Secondly! Oh goodness, I LOVE chickpeas and everything chickpea oriented! I'm afraid it's really not too much deeper than that. Thank you both!

Hello everyone. I'm Chickpea. I live near Philadelphia, I'm a book worm and comic book fan and I enjoy MMORPGs. I used to play a little FFXIV waaaaaaaaaay back when it first launched but haven't touched it since. I'm very excited by all the changes I am reading about and seeing and would love to get back into the swing of things. That of course, means RP!
