1. Hey Candor. You should check The Moirai. We are a Free Company geared towards close knit adventuring parties and also RP event hosting. We have 20 in our roster with 5-8 usually on around the time you mentioned everyday right now, with more activity on the weekends as well. Judging by your original post I think you'd make a decent fit and invite you to play with us some time. If you're interested you can send a /tell or friends request to me or any of our officers: Rhan'ir Azal, L'sheba Lhiou, Miah Amariyo, and Gaganzo Hihinzo. 2. Ul'dah: A well dressed scholarly man reads aloud, "You are cordially invited to The Bobbing Cork for a lively All Saint's Wake Bash! .... I will treat all in attendance to a free round of buffalo's milk. It's the freshest around and Matron's..." Wait. I can't be reading that right. The Holy Matron doesn't have a...I'm going to pretend I didn't read that..."is it awesome! Bring your friends, put on your best disguise for a costume contest, and games! Yes, games! It will be a blast! ...signed Straypuk Blackjack." Straypuk Blackjack?! MATRon's ....trails off not wanting this particular expletive to stick in his head like a horribly catchy tune. ((More info will be posted soon and more IC promotion will follow. Hope to see you there!))

All are welcome from Gilgamesh if you want to create a character in Gridania and make the short and relatively safe run to Fallgourd Float.
4. Hello I'm Falk Magus. I love RP and for me it is about having a good time developing characters and stories you remember for years to come. But the Free Company isn't about just what I like. We intentionally foster a very familial atmosphere and everyone is free to play the game as they choose to enjoy it. You'll find a very mature, fun-loving group here. There is a secret behind the scenes to maintaining such a group, but let's not inspect ingredients just yet and call it "special sauce"! That being said though our recruitment efforts are geared towards people who like to RP, but consider it also a welcome place for your friends or family even if they don't necessarily participate in our strange past times.
5. “We are the hands of fate. Each of us a Moira in their own right.” Moi·ra [moi-ruh] 1. noun, plural - Moirai [moi-rahy] a. the personification of fate. The Moirai is a friendly band of adventures excited to explore the world of Eorzea and see what life has to offer. We enjoy helping one another whether it be questing, dungeons or crafting. We foster a feeling of openness, helpfulness and just plain fun! We host a variety of events such as games, contests or get-togethers to enjoy each other's company. The Moirai is a Free Company/Linkshell open to both Role Players and non Role-Players with Free Company OOC chat and an IC Linkshell. You can get in touch with us at http://moirai.enjin.com __________________________________________________________ Riding on the wind is a torn page from a journal, "Just before the break of dawn, the cold air of the early morning hung thick and humid. Steam rose from the quiet river, the wet grass still damp from a heavy evening rain. I came here to watch the sunrise and awaited the scene I never tired of glimpsing. This morning though my reverie would be interrupted even before it started with a "squish", "clomp", coming deep from within the woods. My ears immediately perked and my hair stood on end as the noise drew nearer. I turned to see a figure stumbling out of the forest. Fear grew within me as the bedraggled figure lumbered toward me. As he grew closer I realized it was an injured male Miqo’te, a very handsome one too or at least from what I could tell under all the mud and grime. I realized I couldn’t leave him here in the forest to be eaten by some wild creature so I proceeded to take him back to my inn room and tend to his wounds. I will never forget the day he told me he was leaving. Sadness grew in my heart. He was the first friend I had made since arriving in Gradania. Would I see him again? Yes, yes I would because you see he is my sweetheart now. Sometimes he can drive me mad but mostly he makes my heart joyful. We have met many interesting and new friends along the way. Recently Rhan’ir, oh I forgot to tell you his name was Rhan’ir, met a Hyur who goes by the name Falk Magus. I have only met him briefly myself but I can tell is a man of wisdom, talent and vision. He has been forming a band of friends. We are wanderers and misfits of different races and occupations on an exciting adventure together." ~L'sheba
6. Belated welcome! I actually remember you from early GW2 from one of Historia's weekly history classes in the Palace Gardens. Seeing a lot of Tarnished Coast alums here. Makes our community seem strangely small huh? I played professor Heron Wren at the time, though I never expect anyone to remember me since I ran so many alts in that game. But good impressions always stick in my mind!
7. One thing to add that was mentioned in FFXIV: A Realm Reborn Player Feedback Status List was "The male Miqo'te markings are a special characteristic of the race, and aren't actually tattoos. They are born with these markings and they become deeper in color as they grow older, but similar to people who have thin and thick facial hair, there are individual differences. With that said, there are some female Miqo'te face types that do not have this, but all of the male face types do."
8. The lack of elderly Miqo'te is probably an aesthetic choice made by Squeenix. I think this is likely. 99% of Squeenix's character models in any Final Fantasy game are youthfully perfect, with lustrous skin and silky hair. The player models and the NPCs are no exception. It's annoying, but what can one do? Here's my stab at an older miqo'te using the character generator. She serves her own purpose in my storyline, so it wasn't all just about making her look old. And the male miqo'te have the grizzled face option that makes it quite easy to pull off an old male miqo'te too.
9. Rhan'ir generally smells of fresh sweat and cooked apples.
10. A handful of unaspected crystalline dust would represent Rhan'ir
11. Count me in and I plan on playing dedicated tank, but happy to step aside for others to fill the role too. I also would be willing to show any would be tank the ropes. I had a lot of fun in P3 teaching friends party roles one on one via levequests. Rhan'ir himself loves to train and spar as well, so we could do it all IC.
12. Actually that sounds a lot like my Rhan'ir. If you are interested in sharing info PM me. There is a bit of mystery to my background so I don't want to spoil it with a public post. Not that anyone truly cares, but I just don't want it floating out there unless my character has divulged it.
13. Some games allow you to type music notes in text like this ♪. I haven't tried it in FFXIV yet, but in other games to show ones character is singing you would type ♪Falalalaaaa♪
14. Welcome to the fun I love your avatar by the way. Is that a personal piece?
15. In ARR the event is referred to as "The Calamity". I don't think your story is too ambitious. I think it does leave you a lot of room to grow as a character, which is a good thing. I love good dynamic characters that evolve over time. I also think the plausibility factor is there from what you presented. I wish you luck in your endeavors and I will always be open to joining in any RP you bring with this character.
