Hello, I am Ellion Goto/Ile Kha of the Night Blades free company... Today, the NB lost one of its founding members and one of our most valued, to a fatal asthma attack. David DeGonzales aka Dennthota Ahtahrmwyn / Dais Pavel / Domino Quixote was an amazing individual, a passionate RPer and as goofy of a goon as a human being could possibly be. I know many of you out there have gotten to RP or get into mischief with him at some point in the game's lifespan, as he was fearless in reaching out and trying new things. As he was in game, so was he in life. I was blessed with finally getting to meet Denn since he lives in Vegas at Fanfest of 2014. The only way you could describe David was that he was like a, "beautiful disaster." I won't lie and say he led a clean life, but he -lived- his life. Armed with a crotch rocket and a reckless passion for creativity and adventure, David was always involved in the more exciting areas of life. Unafraid to live, he was one of the few I felt I could really cut loose with. Hell, he even agreed to drug me and leave me out in the Vegas desert. To which I thought was awesome in the most idiotic way. He was a great wingman for the ladies, and an amazing storyteller in my FC for my members. He lead our RP storylines along with the co-owner Armi, and was one of the most helpful people anyone could ever encounter. He was also the nicest. Every time you complimented him, he always said, "No... i'm not nice at all... I do a lot of bad things." Even if that were true... he never was like that to us... and we will miss him so much. I love you like a brother David....you were one of my closest friends... The NB will open up our doors to provide a vigil for Dennthota on Friday at 11PM EST. The service will officially last for an hour, but everyone is absolutely welcome to stay and share any stories if they knew him. ~Ell Lavendar Beds: Ward 5, Plot 6

As an FC we've now had 2 annual meet-ups in Vegas both for Fanfest, and of our own volition. Providing an update to the donation process. To comply with legal obligations, I have made a unique PayPal account that will only be used and given during the Hellathon. I will provide that PayPal link in the TWITCH Channel itself via chat or other methods for people to donate. This way nothing is pulled out until ready to move it to the CMN charity network. I -can- provide proof of the donation if requested via certificate or receipt when its in their hands. Just shoot me a PM.

Hello, Ellion Kha, leader of the Night Blades here giving a monthly update and to inform any who may be interested, in watching a group of goons push content for 24 hours -for charity-. On January 7th at 6PM Mountain, 8PM EST, we'll be kicking off a 24-hour raid against challenging content for the kids. I'm doing this for the Children's Miracle Network specifically. I've been raising money for the Children's Miracle Network for three years now, and I'm proud of the accomplishments me and my team has made for it. All proceeds during that Hellathon -will- go toward the Children's Miracle Network-sponsored, Children's Hospital in Aurora CO (Here), of which I've been part of a team of around 70 people, that has raised approximately $97,000 for those kids last year, and around $45,000 for them each preceding year. For those that raid during this Hellathon, consider yourselves gaming for kids. Some folks may wonder (and suggest) I use extra-life.org as a charity center. I have heard of folks using Extra-life.org to fund charities through gaming, and while I'm aware of the site, the reason why I do not use it is because I have experience in handling my own charitable contributions for some time now. Right now I'm working on getting someone to stream the video (the core component) of the raiding. I will try my best to get that set up if people are interested in watching this and donating. Please be advised strong language is bound to happen often during the livestream. Content will be raided by goons who are not even close to hardcore so be prepared for many lulzy moments. LONG post but I don't care, we're old and these folks are worth it. Guild Update for RPC (still kicking), taken from the NB site: With everything going on, it just occurred to me that last month, the guild hit it's 2 year old mark! Birthdate: 8/16/2013 An incredible milestone in any respect, and I just want to thank everyone for making that experience possible. The guild has gone through ebbs and flows over the past couple of years and I think I can safely say has seen a lot of people cross our doors. To thank them all for their contribution, I want to list just how many people have actually came through the NB doorway, whether they wanted RP, hang with some pals, or wanted to goof around with light raids. As of this point, NB currently resides at around 70 members. The large FC has become recently even larger and I want to thank everyone for all their solid efforts and commitment to our community both in, and out of the game. We have achieved remarkable milestones in the form of not only owning a Large house, but continuously promoting our members within to keep up with the expanding demand, and the engagement of all the storylines, especially the main one, AND last but certainly not least, participating in what is evidently becoming an annual tradition of meeting up in Vegas (Go NBCon!). So a big shout out to my crew. You are the best folks a leader could have.

The NB has just promoted Zax Xelphia to Raid Officer! The officer listing should include Zax's name at this time.

As of this time, I would like to take the opportunity to announce we are opening up our recruitment doors again and would love to take on applicants who share our passion for Roleplaying and for the love of the game. We plan on being around for quite a while as the game shows it is getting better and better each day and can't wait to see what's further in store. We are heavy plot based and even have our hands in playing some villain characters (ICly outside the FC but OOCly inside for story plot purposes) to create interesting settings and to drive character growth. That's absolutely true. Maybe it's because their voices contrast much better against the harsh drops, I'm not sure.

Understood. I, as well as I'm sure others, appreciate this kind of clarification because yes, tones do tend to get misunderstood over the internet. I also agree, that folks need to calm down on the subject and let the chips fall where they may at this point.

To give my personal "opinion." Yes I feel it is currently moot because you're exactly right. But, there has been so much "drive" behind the movement that it may not matter now regardless as now I'm sure most are rolling on it because they said they're rolling on it. It's probably as simple as that to some now.
