History/Background Birthplace: The Black Shroud (nomadic lifestyle, but she believes her birth took place in the North Shroud somewhere) Parents: Kohiara Yhoknu and Ezi'ra Tia Biography: Kihta spent her earliest days of memory living within the Black Shroud among her clan; her mother at its helm. She had a total of four siblings - two brothers and two sisters - with Kihta being the youngest alongside with her twin brother. As was tradition among her kin, she learned to hunt from an early age, but also had been born with a musical talent. Like her father she had only known of in stories from her mother, Kihta had a way with inspiring the weary and downtrodden of her tribe through song and dance; taking primarily to the flute. And also like her father, or so she had been told, she had a knack for allowing her curiosity to run away with her; often resulting in some hairy situations she had to be pulled out of more times than she’d care to count. Her memories of the Calamity are a heavy fog of screams and a feeling of panic. What she recalls the most is running hand in hand with her twin brother to escape from their camp at the behest of their mother. They weren’t far from the camp when Kihta and Koh’li were hit by a large, falling tree limb - only to find themselves waking within Gridania, having no solid memory of how they wound up there. As they recovered and time had passed, they sat out in search of their camp and stumbled upon the remains of most of their clan. Their mother had been among the deceased, as were their siblings. While the two spent some time in search of any that might have survived, they had only come up empty-handed at every turn. Reluctantly, Kihta and Koh’li returned to Gridania and started to find some measure of peace living among those they had once been at odds with in previous years. Moving on proved rough in the beginning, but as more time went by, it became easier to navigate so long as they had each other. While Koh'li began studying conjury, Kihta found herself taking up odd jobs around town and often found herself relying on her musical talents to earn whatever gil she could. It had been apparent that her brother’s life path was going into a clear direction, while Kihta found herself growing restless day by day in her great curiosity of the world beyond the Black Shroud. Finding herself in the company of some questionable adventurers who had wandered into a tavern one night where she had been performing, the Keeper quickly found herself taking up with them on contract, which promised adventure and gain beyond her wildest dreams. This was the start to Kihta's journey beyond what she had only known in one small corner of the world.
