Reijna glanced up at him, watching as he finally began to eat. His earlier worry appearing to have vanished - though she wasn't sure she believed that his earlier distress had actually gone. She listened as he talked and when he offered to pour her water she lifted her hand to decline but decided otherwise and offered her cup to be filled. Once he finished, she took a sip and set it down. 'You mean like how I felt last night after a certain pair of hands landed where they weren't allowed?' She thought to herself. Her eyes moved involuntarily to his hands as the moment was recalled, her cheeks flushing just slightly in embarrassment. Hopefully he didn't recall it. "Good thing I'm well armed, then." She stated with a slight smirk. She continued listening to him. There was not much she could include anyway as she knew practically nothing about this place. A soft laugh left her at Kern's remarks and she turned towards where he was and called out. "I'm sure he meant it the other way around." Returning her attention back to Sandor, she paused a moment as he mentioned where she had spent the night. It seemed he did recall last night.... If not at least pieces of it. She took a deep breath and set down the eating utensil in her hand. "Well then... shouldn't we get going soon?" Reijna stood and turned to the table she had set her stuff on and pulled out her chakrams and their "sheaths" - which were, in reality, just hooks that attach to her belt - and proceeded to get ready to leave. The chakrams in question were shaped like flowers with each petal sharpened to a point with hand holds wrapped in leather. The weapons were clearly well used, but also very well taken care of.

mateus LF Rp, preferably long term

I love long term story based rps. I'd be happy to partner up with you for an rp. -
Reijna could see him searching for something in her eyes. What it was, she wasn't sure. And, honestly, she didn't want to know. She suddenly felt as though 10 years had been leached off her. With a soft sigh, she listened to his explanation. She wasn't entirely interested in this "Syndicate" or what they did. But she would listen as the information could come in handy later on. Especially if she had plans on staying in this area. Her gaze kept flitting over to the girl, watching tensely just in case. The tension eased, though, when she went running to her father. Finally able to breathe more easily, she turned to fully face Sandor and gave him her full attention. His confident grin did little to raise her spirits, though she had to admit... It did make him just a little cuter. A thought crossed her mind to tell him that just to get him flustered, but she quickly dismissed it as it would probably attract unwanted attention from him. "Actually I don't think we're screwed just yet. I mean, he forced the job on you, yes, and he may have an underlying plan. No. Scratch that, there's no 'may have' he definitely has something he's plotting. Otherwise I don't think he would have forced a partner on you and he wouldn't have been so thrilled at that partner being me. But I don't think we'd be 'screwed' until there's no hope left and our backs are to the wall. How far is it to the 'usual place?'" She sat back in her seat, playing with the remaining food on her plate as she was no longer as hungry thanks to the events that just transpired.

An odd feeling passed through her at him gently colliding with her back and his hand to her shoulder. But she didn't have time to explore it as there were more pressing matters hand. When Sandor spoke, stating his disagreement, at first she was frustrated that he wanted to deny her help but then his next sentence gave her pause. He didn't want her involved in whatever business he dealt it. He was trying to.... protect her? She almost wanted to laugh. Not in a cruel way but because that's what she felt she was doing by offering her assistance. She could tell the man in front of them was bad news and if he had a boss that meant if Sandor had attacked there would have been serious repercussions. Her mind turned back into the situation when Rotah'wo called her a bitch. The anger she felt was apparent on her features, despite her every attempt to hide it. All of a sudden she felt a tug at her hand as Sandor took a step around her. With embarrassment, she realized she had never actually released his other hand and did so immediately. She looked up at him to see if he had noticed only to see the color drain from his face. Following his gaze, he saw it. A young girl, clearly related to Kern based on her features, talking freely to a man. She wanted to run to the child, scoop her up and protect her from him. But she knew she wouldn't get there in time and even if she could, there were no doubt others lying in wait. Her brain wasn't processing the conversation going around her at first, focusing only on thoughts of how she could remove the child from danger, until her and Sandor were left standing alone. "Why?" She said softly, turning to face him. "Why would I stop you? Why would i volunteer myself as your partner? I don't see anyone else lining up. He wasn't giving you a choice. And if I hadn't stopped you from murdering him then what do you think would have happened to that child out there?" Anger welled up inside of her so much so that she was visibly shaking. Her voice had remained low. She wasn't screaming nor yelling, her anger was far past that. Her attention returned to the scene outside. Her heart screamed at her to run over, but her mind knew better. "Whether you like it or not, we are in this together. Fight me, if you wish, but it will not make me break my word. You'll have to forgive me, though. As much as I am loath to admit... I don't know anything at all about this area. So I'll have to be dependent on you. Don't worry, though, I'm not incompetent when it comes to fighting so I won't be a complete deadweight." She tried to force some humor in her voice as she spoke, but failed miserably.

Reijna could feel the tension in the room rising with each passing moment, reminding her of a teapot on a stove. She was expecting a high pitched whistle to blow at any moment... She watched Sandor more carefully than she watched the other, simply because she could tell the man across from them wasn't as skilled in battle as Sandor. She didn't want to have Kern mop up yet another puddle of blood so soon. She opened her mouth, wanting to interject in hopes of keeping things from boiling over... but she wasn't sure what to say and so she shut her mouth again. It was happening before she realized it. Sandor had leapt up out of his seat, reaching for the Mystel man. Once again, she didn't have time to think. Only to react. She leapt up, grabbing the outstretched hand and lowering it as she placed her body between the two males with her back to Sandor. If Sandor wasn't quick enough in stopping his lunge forward, he would slam into her back. "I will work with him."

Well, I didn't mean that the ears were floppy or super flexible. But they have more flexibility than what it seems on the viera. I know bunny ears aren't so flexible you can do anything with them but at the same time, they can fold backwards to lay flat along the rabbit's body. I mean I know viera ears wouldn't flop around and lay against their bodies BUT they could still fold backwards at times so the ears would be pointing backwards and not upwards. I just wanted opinions on it. Rabbit ears don't typically fold like that one set of viera ears do they? Makes me think of whales in captivity. How their fins droop down.

I think Omega is still EU but I'm not positive. The world visit though is restricted to worlds on your server so you can go to other servers. I've noticed there aren't as many people openly rping either when I visit other worlds. You could join rp groups on here, though, and schedule meetups and the like.

So! I have been thinking about viera ears for a while. When viera were first released I didn't care that they couldn't wear many hats/hoods because just think of the difficulty of getting them on or how big the holes would have to be. I had thought about how their ears may get cold. Everyone else can wear earmuffs/hats/hoods to keep their ears warm. And then an idea came.. Ear Socks. Its exactly how it sounds. Socks but for ears. I personally think it would be awesome. This was all a while ago that I was thinking about that, but today my mind went back to viera ears. On the game the ears look stiff and don't move at all. That could bring one to forget that rabbit ears are flexible and can move. I know I forgot. So.. I'm wondering. Are viera ears as flexible as a real rabbit's ears? I personally would like to think so because in terms of rp that could give your character so much more expression just like cat ears do for m'qote. What do you guys think? Should viera ears mimic a rabbit's or should they be stiffer than a rabbit's?

A laugh came from the man as his head tilted. "Is that any way to greet an old acquaintance?" As he spoke, the grin from his laugh remained upon his lips and he pulled down his hood. He could have been described as having a boyish charm if not for the malice that shone clearly in his eyes. "However, if I were sharing the same company as you...." his gaze then moved to Reijna, giving her a slow and meaningful once over, "I'd want me to leave too." The look in his eyes would have made most women shrink, self consciously knowing what it was he was thinking. Reijna, on the other hand did the opposite. She lounged back in her chair, seeming to stretch out comfortably as she crossed her legs. The movement, though it would seem completely natural to all but the highly skilled eye, was to position her hand close enough to her hips that she could withdraw the dagger sitting there if need be. She had learnt from her experience the night before. She would not be left without a weapon close at hand. "My my.. you know how to flatter a girl. Unfortunately for you, though... I'm spoken for. Not to mention I don't I don't mess with little boys." She returned his once over, clearly indicating his height. The corners of his lips twitched, nearly losing the smile and returned his attention to Sandor. "I have a job for you. It's a simple one. Pick up and drop off. Now before you ask why our people can't do it I'll just tell you simply, they can't. They're currently..... preoccupied. So the boss wants you to do it. You and a partner of your choice. It's highly valuable, you see. So you may need an extra hand."
-
Reijna smiled as she watched the two talk, amusement dancing in her eyes. She was honestly surprised to learn that the children liked him so much. This caused her to start thinking. Children can actually be pretty good judges of character most times. Most times. So she sat, nibbling lightly in the food brought to her as she stared at Sandor with interest, attempting to figure out what type of man he was. She noted that he hadn't made a crude remark, nor had he been leering at her at all the entire morning. He'd also been drinking water. Had she just caught him on a bad night? Kern's near-panicked screech of the word "right" brought her back from her thoughts. She was about to speak when the door opened and a hooded figure came in. The way the hood was sitting on their head, she would guess they were a mystel. It was confirmed when he lowered his hood. Quietly, the man walked to a table and sat while facing the table the group sat at. The man said nothing, his eyes intent on Sandor. "Friend of yours?" Reijna asked softly as she leaned towards Sandor. Her gaze moved from the mystel to Sandor, gauging his expression for a moment before glancing back at the mystel. His gaze was incredibly unsettling to her, even though he wasn't even looking her way.
-
Reijna turned at the sound of Kern's voice and smiled. She was honestly grateful he had shown up. She wasn't sure how to interact with the other male in the room. "It's perfectly alright." She responded cheerily. Her eyes drifted to the plates he was carrying and her stomach responded to the sight with a loud, hungry growl. Her hands flew to her stomach and her cheeks reddened with embarrassment. The thought occured to her to make an excuse and leave, but she knew that would be rude. Especially considering the man had gone through the trouble of preparing a meal ahead of time. "Th-thanks." Reijna said quietly as she sat down. Her gaze flitted to the children as they quietly and quickly poured the drinks and left. They were incredibly well behaved and quiet. She then looked at Sandor with a slightly disapproving look as she thought about how she wasn't too surprised given their current... guest. She'd want to go hide from him too after last night's display if she were them. "You have children?" Reijna asked Kern, looking to fill the silence.
-
The sound of his voice confirmed what she had been expecting, however it sounded far more sober than it had last night. With a soft sigh, Reijna replied with a simple "Morning" and set her belongings on the table. Her fingers deftly undid the tie of her pack and she pulled out a book and set it down on the table only to tie the pack closed again. She had honestly expected that Kern might still be asleep, if only because he had stayed with Sandor as th chirurgeon patched him up. It was doubtful he would have left the two unattended.. At least she wouldn't have if it had been her. "As I said last night I don't... Seriously?!" She exclaimed upon finally looking up at him, "What are you doing traipsing around half naked in a place of business? I mean, I understand it isn't too busy from what I've seen in my short time here, but that's no excuse. You'll end up scaring off the few customers that do come in here. At least put on a shirt." She pushed her glasses up slightly as she pinched the bridge of her nose with her index finger and thumb with her eyes closed. She felt a tension in her body that she hadn't realized she had relax. He looked to be in better shape than the night before. She had been concerned, more than she would admit, that there was more damage than what was evident when she left.
-
The morning air was cool and crisp with a sense of peace to it, something that Reijna absolutely loved and was still getting use to. A soft hum escaped her as she leisurely made her way back to the tavern from the night before. She knew the day wouldn't stay this calm, but she would be damned if she let that knowledge ruin the peaceful feeling. She thought for a moment about going off to train, but dismissed the idea as the sooner she was on her way the better. All too soon the tavern was before her. Her steps halted as she stared, wondering if the man from last night was still in there. "HEY! ARE YA JUS' GONNA STAND IN TH' MIDDLE O' EVERYTHIN?! MOVE IT!" A rather gruff voice called out at her, causing her to jump and hurriedly move out of the way. "Sorry!" She called out, embarrassed at herself for being lost in thought. Quickly she made her way across the final stretch to the tavern. Her stomach grumbled and yelled at her, angry that she hadn't eaten the night before. "Hush." She whispered at her stomach before going in. When she entered, she purposely did not look around and made her way straight to a table.

"The Ridge?" Reijna asked before Kern cleared his throat and spoke. Guessing it was something that they shouldn't talk about due to Kern's face, she didn't pry any further. She took the towel offered to her and rose from her seat with a slight nod at Kern's statement. "We should hurry and get him at least cleaned up. It looks like he should have had this taken care of a while ago. I'm surprised it isn't infected yet." She watched Kern as he poked his friend. "True unless the pain wakes him." With that said, she walked over and squatted in front of Sandor to begin cleaning his wounds as gently as possible. When his torso was as clean as she could get it, she worked on cleaning the blood from his face and patted him dry. She then took her container and opened it. "This is a salve to help with sore muscles. It helps with the pain and swelling. We use it after a particularly rough training session," she explained absentmindedly as she rubbed a very small amount on his cheeks and jaw, "I doubt it will help much with the headache he'll no doubt have in the morning, but it'll ease the pain in his face." When she finished, she paused for a moment, her fingers hovering slightly over his jaw where she had just put the salve. Then with a heavy sigh she put the lid back on quickly and grabbed her things. "I'll be going." She called over her shoulder before all but running out the door to head for the mill Sandor had mentioned earlier.
-
"Hurt that badly? But it wasn't even..." Reijna's voice trailed off as she turned around only to find herself speechless and... awkwardly gawking. The sight of his beaten and bruised body caused her to forget what she was saying, and even that Kern had brought food out. She wanted to yell at him for being so reckless in such a state, however she controlled her temper. He was honestly a stranger to her.. And she knew she really shouldn't care too much about people she didn't know, but it was hard. "Well this," she motioned her hand to indicate his body, "is more than what I can help with. I mean I could bandage you up but I don't think I have enough. Once you're cleaned up you should go find a chirurgeon to get patched up." Reijna moved back over to him and picked up her container as a soft mutter left her lips. "I guess this won't be as helpful as I thought.." With a sigh she went back to her own table and sat back down as she waited for Kern to return with the water and towel. She kept her gaze upon the container, purposely not looking at Sandor. Well, maybe it could help with his face at least...
-
Reijna gave a slight nod to Kern as he headed off. The silence that followed felt awkward to her as she sat in the room with multiple unconscious men and one beat up and haggard conscious one. Why hadn't she left after the incident? It would be a lot better than sitting here in silence. From the corner of her eyes she examined Sandor. He seemed pretty roughed up. Had she interfered in such a way that the injuries he suffered could be blamed on her? No, he was drunk enough that he probably would have been hurt regardless. The movements seemed simultaneous as Sandor stood and Reijna turned to her bag and reached in to grab something. It startled her only slightly as she looked up to see him carrying one of the men on his shoulder. "Are you sure you should be..." her voice came out soft, probably too soft for him to hear. Once he returned and made his remark, she simply rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath something along the lines of asking if he was sure he shouldn't be taken out too, then. Guilt washed over her after the remark as she watched. She could see the slight shake of his body as his strength waned. She found what she was looking for, a salve in a pale green glass container. The container had designs shaped like a forest painted all across it with what appeared to be a path of flowers painted across the forest floor. A soft, sad smile appeared upon her lips before quickly vanishing. "I'll look into it, then." Was her response to his comment about lodging. She stood and placed the container on the table he was sitting at only to move in his way and take the items from his arms. "Sit." It was both a command and a request. "A child could take you out in this state, sit or you'll end up on the floor." She didn't say another word, ignoring any protest he might give as she hurriedly picked up the dishes so he wouldn't be tempted to and began carrying them through the door she saw Kern go through. "Excuse me," Reijna called out as the door shut behind her, "Kern, is it? Could you also bring out a bowl with warm water and a towel?"
-
Reijna paused in her stride to Kern as the two men began conversing. So it had been planned and all she did was interrupt. With a scoff she turned and quickly strode to her discarded bags and scooped them up. She had planned on apologizing for not being of much help in stopping the fight but now that she knew... "Thanks but I don't take charity. I had planned on asking where I might stay for the night but given the locals.." she said with a pointed glare first at the unconscious men and then to Sandor, "I don't believe I'd be able to rest peacefully." With that said, she went to a table and set her belongings atop it before she set the chairs that went with it upright. "A map might be nice too, if you happen to have one." Once the chairs were upright, Reijna sat down and crossed her arms. Her flower once again fell on Sandor only to see him bend over and pick up something that glinted slightly from the light between his fingers. She sat in silence for a moment, contemplating on whether to ask him about it but his expression, while only brief, gave her pause. She chose instead to look back at Kern, her expression much less fierce than it had been since entering, and simply pretended she hadn't seen. "Just a few slices of bread would be fine. I have no appetite any longer, but I'm sure I should eat at least something." With her anger having faded, her voice was also much gentler as she spoke.
-
As the man stumbled back from her blow, Reijna stood straight and readied herself to launch into attack mode and beat him senseless... However.... Someone beat her to it. In the mere seconds it had taken her to straighten, the man received another blow to the face. She winced in sympathy from the blood and was almost expecting his tongue to fall out of his mouth from biting it off. She heard some mutters and was both relieved and annoyed he hadn't bitten his tongue off. Her face grew redder at his remark, but the anger quickly evaporated as she saw his main assailant going in for the kill. She drew her knife and had it poised and ready to fly but the highlander was only seconds faster. His efficiency at taking out his attacker piqued her curiosity and so she decided to let the men fight. Sheathing her knife, Reijna hoisted herself backwards to sit in the tabletop and watch. The man was skillful in his attack and, if he wasn't crude and didn't so obviously live in the bottle, she would have found his battle efficiency attractive. This was obviously a man use to a battlefield, where as she was more suited to the hunt. Not to say she wasn't skillful in face to face combat, she was just better at stealth. It wasn't long before he took out the final five assailants. The poor tavern had blood all over the floor.. and most of it was his. With a sigh, she hopped down off the table that she had only just made herself comfortable on and began to head towards the man she assumed was Kern when a voice called out. Reijna froze mid step and slowly turned towards him. Her lips curved into a seductive smile though her eyes reflected a murderous intent. She took slow steps towards him, intentionally swinging her hips slightly with each movement. "You want me to fetch you another ale, sir?" She said breathily upon reaching him. In a flash, she grabbed the neck of his armor and yanked hard. "Do I look like your mother?! I won't be fetching anything for you. And for that matter you don't need another ale. Given the hits you took, what you need is a healer! Now go sit down and shut up." She let go of him before returning to her previous path to Kern.
-
There was a moment of silence before the men in front of her began laughing. That struck a nerve. She began to take a step forward as she started to tell each and every one of them where they could shove those weapons when she felt an arm go around her waist and pull her backwards. The shock of it made her forget what she was about to say, effectively shutting her up. Reijna started to speak again but her voice halted when she looked up into his eyes. The drunkard was surprisingly handsome, however she could barely understand what it was he was saying due to the drunken slur. And with that a punch to his jaw sent both backwards. The only thing that kept them from falling to the ground was the table the man had been sitting at. Time seemed to pause for a second as everything seemed to fall into place. There she stood, leaned backward over a table with her arms supporting her. The man she had just been trying to defend learned slightly over her with a hand placed firmly on each breast. Once the second had passed, her left leg twitched as she almost instinctively kneed him in the groin. She stopped herself, though, with two thoughts in mind. First, he couldn't have planned that punch, nor could he have planned to fall this way and two..... the man was drunk. He probably didn't even realize what he was grabbing. And then... he winked at her. Reijna's cheeks reddened both in embarrassment and anger. She started for the knife on her left boot, but quickly realized that was out of the question in the current position both of them were in. So instead she went for the knee to the groin she had initially stopped herself from doing. She hoped that it would make it's mark, especially with the amount of force she was putting into it, however even if it didn't.. At least his hands would be off of her.
-
"Thank you for the ride Zak." Reijna said as she climbed out of a supply wagon. The driver had been kind enough to take her along with him when he saw her asking around for directions, however, this was his destination. "It's not a problem. Now, the tavern is over there. The owner is a man by the name of Kern. Not many 'round here are trustworthy, but Kern is. He can help ya with a room for tonight." Zak dipped his head to indicate the direction and waited till she began heading that direction before driving off. Excitement and anxiety danced in her chest with each step she took towards the tavern. The feeling wasn't new to her, but the longer she was away from home, the more she grew use to it. With a soft exhale she opened the tavern door just in time to hear Kern yell for no violence and the sound of weapons being drawn. She turned to find a man, clearly drunk and unsteady, facing a group of men. Without thinking, she dropped her things and ran in between the men and the singular drunk man. Her back was to him as she faced the group of men, arms spread out as though to protect the man behind her. "Whoa whoa whoa.. Don't you think this would be a bit of an unfair fight? I mean look at this man. He can barely stand. And he's alone. Why don't you wait till he sobers up at least?"

[Aether] Looking for a long term RP partner
Reyukka replied to Reyukka's topic in Chronicled Connections
So, my thinking is (until they do something canon-wise) that the Exarch manages to find out some information that might send the Scions back to the source and needs to test it out. There seems to be no danger in it, however none of the Scions are readily available. So to test it out they needed a volunteer. Reijna volunteered knowing she may not be able to make her way back, but eager for adventure and to learn new things. It was successful for her but later when the same was attempted with one of the Scions it failed because they are essentially spirits in human form which makes them different than everyone else on the first. This gives way for Reijna to go to the source (and possibly back in the future) without affecting the fact the Scions can't go home.- 17 replies
