Well I'm kind glad this has been moved since I did not know it edited. Would have been sad faced if I missed something fun.

This is still a far cry from a lot of bad MMO launches. And I know several people who have managed to get in and create characters, so this is a huge improvement over how things were a week ago. I think the problem, here, is that the Titanic can't turn on a dime. Not that we are going to crash into an iceberg or anything, but getting the servers running flawlessly for millions of people isn't a problem that can magically be fixed overnight. And sorry if the titanic was a horrible metaphore, I had Amy Grant stuck in my head suddenly. I have been in almost every beta since Ultima online. Xfire - eros156 for game check. Never has there been a game with no afk kick and smashed up servers a week after launch. Never could a game not be purchased a week after launch. Never could you not get into the game because your character has been stuck inside for three hours. I would love to know which game you were apart of that topped these issues. It had to be on a coma Dore 64 I'm sure. But alas never has a game been so good and everyone wants to play. Which painfully is the major cause of all the problems.

Well now it's truly an official fail launch. I was with them for a while but not adding an afk kick an seeing people get errors that kick them from the game and their characters remain in game indefinitely making it impossible for them to log back in really seals the deal on this one.

Potions can come in many forms. Some heal while others can corrupt the mind. Some burn while others freeze like the icy mountains. Some are green and some are blue. What one to drink? Won't you chose?

This sounds great. Would you be interested in writing the mystery for it? Also if it seems that it is complicated and needs its own night there is no reason why we can't do different days of course. It is called fear-tober of course. I like the idea of the walk being an entrance to the event. Very nice.

Ahoy my fellow gilgamesh mates. I hope that many of you are as eager as I am to see another event down the line! With this I am proud to present a horror type event which will be making its way to us between the dates of October 10 - October 20. I have posted this early so we as a group can get some ideas flowing around. My ideas so far are. Ghost story competition. Best in costume. Best scary themed and tasting treats. A horrific tour through the woods. What I need some help with is an idea for the location of this event. (As dark and scary as we can make it.) Also since we have a month of game play before the event I would hope we can find some neat looking outfits that suit the theme. And as always people who are interested in helping run the event and games. Post ideas and let's make this some horrific fun!

Its clearly a holiday in the US. People are not at work.

I think it has to do more with the fact that the Japanese language requires less characters to convey a message than ours. Just bad localization is all. Quite possible, good point.

Ya deff need meetups fairly frequent. So much fun!

Congratulations on bricking your character! Just kidding... hey, at least you have heals and a tanking pet for leveling up archer now! I'm confused ... why don't you open up the Archer class? This thread has been a souring of what has been an otherwise wonderful experience. Its basically everyone just being introverted assholes to each other and its painfully annoying . I really cant believe a mod of the website has not locked this nonsense yet. I don't see why a thread deserves locking when there has been no swearing or threats or any other unreasonable and personal attacks made. If threads like these really sour your experience so soon, then follow the same advice I was given by people of this same RP community: Don't like it? Don't read it. LITERALLY posts this after a post with swearing. Apparently you really take that not reading into good use. ::face palm:: Frankly, the level of entitlement in this post is outright laughable. "Idling and staying logged in seems like the best course to take to make things easiest on ourselves." Really? Here, let's do some math. First we're going to assume you actually care about being a decent human being and helping out others. So you can stay logged in for 36 hours straight and hog it all to yourself, but like I said, we're pretending you give a shit about your fellow human. If the average casual player plays roughly 2 hours and then logs out, you could potentially cycle in 18 other players within the time you're sitting on your ass watching Netflix. Now, I know there's a distinct possibility that you'll let in another person like you who idles for days at a time, but the potential is there to give a great deal of people a chance to play. Moving on, we'll get to your jab at SE for daring to "think free time is a good apology". It's free time. That's time where they let you play the game for free. How are you complaining? I guarantee if they gave you nothing you would still play, because you're still interested enough to post on these forums. The correct response to this "insult" is "Thank you, Square Enix." The last paragraph, I considered not addressing because I honestly thought you might be trolling by this point. Yes, I'm sure Square's plan was to crash the servers so they could roll in the cash. It was a big conspiracy and we all fell for it. They're sitting back in their offices right now laughing and smoking cigars and curling their villainous mustaches. Grow up. They're more stressed out about this than we are. We might not be able to play a game, but their careers are on the line. Also once again, extended free time =/= rolling in the cash. Is there any other ridiculous statement you'd like to make or are you done? Not sure why your arguing with a player who is on a different server than you. 8-)

My "Character" is going to be a black mage. But thats not going to stop me from actually playing the game to its fullest and gaining everything on my character for raiding and such. =)

I mean seriously its not like decreasing the number of characters in a bloody mail is going to get them room on their servers to allow more players in =3

So if any of you have tried to send mails to your friends, or for rp purposes, you have clearly noticed that there's only a 200 character limit count. This basically forces you to send like 123 mails to get a conversation across. Really friggen annoying. :frustrated:
