In order to be able to make more time for my FC, recruiting and all, I'm handing over leadership of the Tavern LS to Sasari Sari.

Just a reminder to all my Tavern members: We are NOT allowing ANY kind of spoilers in the LS. This includes the main story quest and job quest storylines, as well as dungeon storylines and, until further notice, also dungeon mechanics. There are some people (myself included) who want to enjoy the game firsthand, so please be respectful. For the time being, I am enacting Martial Law in the LS when it comes to spoilers. If anyone spoils something, tell them to stop. If they don't, or they become belligerent, screenshot it and send it to me or any other officer, and they will be removed ASAP. Remember, we can't remove troublemakers if we don't know they're making trouble. Thanks for your attention and your respect guys, and I hope we all enjoy Heavensward.

Photos of the Fashion Contest Apologies to our second place winners, our photographer misplaced the photos they took. Our third place winners were Zhyalyhe Loeshaksyn in the male category, and Cliodhna Eoghan in the female category. They were each awarded a stack of grade 1 clothcraft glamour prisms. Our second place winners were Jino'ya Traore in the male category, and Arrelaine Fashonti in the female category. They were each awarded a wind-up qiqirn doll. Our first place winners were Xivrez'to Ithaka in the male category, and Audrielle Bellerose in the female category. They were each awarded 100k gil, as well as a magitek bit minion which was generously donated by the Crafty Carbuncle Company. Again, we want to thank everyone who participated, especially our wonderful announcer Nailah Quill and our guest judges Sasari Sari and L'yhta Mahre. We also want to thank everyone who came out to watch the event and support their friends, and we hope we'll see you all again when we host our next fashion contest!

Waiting on our photographer to compile the pictures, then we'll be posting them (prolly an imgur gallery) with a schnazzy looking "winners" post, so stay tuned if you'd like to see/save some screenies from the contest!

I went through and cleaned out all the names that have been inactive in this past week. If someone was booted who -is- still active and I either missed you somehow, or you were taking a week off from the game, please get in touch with me in game and I'll be happy to bring you back in. That being said, Tavern LS now has a good amount of open spots. I'll be recruiting in shout starting later today or tomorrow, so if anyone would like an invite, please /tell me in game and I can make that happen. I'm more in favor of a forum than a shoutbox, simply because I feel some of the RP posts might get lost in a shoutbox. I also think that it'd be easier to maybe reply to or change your post title in a forum ( -closed- or something similar) to indicate you're no longer roleplaying, so those looking for rp aren't following dead leads. I know that'd be more work, but it'd make it easier on those trying to use the thread imho.

Update: The Tavern LS is still bursting at the seams as of 4/30/15. I would like to begin carefully cleaning names out of the LS, but with no "MoTD" or "Last logged in" feature for LSes, this will be rather difficult to do without clearing innocent bystanders. Having said this, I would like to ask anyone who is no longer using the linkshell, perhaps has an alt in it that they no longer play, or has it turned off due to chat spam or for any other reason, to please be considerate and leave the LS to make room for those who would like to make use of it. I'm not asking those who actively use the LS to leave, just those who no longer make use of it or don't want to be in it to make a little room. I would also like to request that if you have time, please submit a request to SE (this can be done in game via the Support & Information>Contact Us>Leave a Suggestion menu) to add the MoTD and Last logged features to LSes for cleaning purposes. You guys are all awesome, thanks for making such a great community!

I'm sorry I haven't been on much for a while, been preparing for a trip out of town, and I will most likely be unable to log on until next Sunday. Well, the Quicksand in Ul'dah is where most people tend to go, but that being said it's usually incredibly crowded. There are a few LSes built for people looking for rp connections as well, if you'd rather try that method instead. (I actually run one but I'm on Balmung myself.) Any of the adventurer's guilds though, including Limsa and Gridania, tend to have rpers in them almost all of the time. Edit: I replied at first not seeing this was on Gilgamesh so forgive me if my info isn't 100% accurate for your server. Blame 2am posting ;;

If someone played a Batman-esque character in a roleplay community, I'd still consider them a Mary Sue or a Gary Stu. Doesn't matter the gender to me.

After just a little advertising our LS already has close to 40 people in it, so thanks everyone! I want to add as many people as possible to really get the rp flowing, so please let me know if you're interested in an invite! I'm also still looking for anyone who is willing to be a contact for invites!

I actually went ahead and made our own looking for RP linkshell called The Tavern, if anyone wants an invite. It's still in its infancy but I'd love to see it grow, if anyone is interested in joining
