I am just so ticked off at myself for missing these RP events that have been going on... *sigh* suppose I should read the forum sections rather than speed read them... I really gotta stop doing that. Well, I'll keep my eye out for the next one.

This is just all too similar to the idea of a Cloud Operating System which, if they decided to go down this path with software, would be a better option. But then you'd get the nerds, like me, who like to tweak things and set things the way we like it. Either way, I agree that this act, if passed, will promote piracy amongst it's respective communities.

Well, I finished uploading some video's to youtube for my website portfolio, and I thought I'd share this one It was for a compositing class where we had to... well do stuff with compositing. Not to toot my own horn, but my project had the best green screen keying out of the ENTIRE class. 'Why?' you ask? Because I'm the man, that's why! I play the boss in this video that's wearing the Animal t-shirt. That's right. Animal, because "I Rock!"

Ok, so this picture has nothing to do with FFXIV, actually it's some concept work for a character in my senior project. I'm drawing her so I can have references for when I storyboard. I decided to go down a different path with drawing this time, a style I'd never attempted; Disney style! After a couple of hours, and much crumpled paper, of staring at different characters and getting a copy of the 'How to draw Disney Princesses' book, I think I'm getting the hang of it. These are a little rough, but it's just to get a few of the techniques down. Let me know what you think. Click it It's just a sample, the current one I was working on before posting this.

I wonder if this will eventually trickle down to hardware. Nevertheless, it won't stop people from selling these things, they'll just find a different venue in which to do so. Who's gunna stop you from selling your copy of of a video game or computer software to your friend for $20?

I'm also waiting for the PS3 release, but I'll have it on PC as well. Is the PS3 and PC cross platform? Or will they have separate servers?

Hey guys, that's quite enough of this bickering. Keep this thread for crafting stuffs, not arguing or banter. I love you all, but someone has to put their foot down. I understand it's an argument about crafting, but it's... Well, it's taking over the thread. Everyone to be making happy, prease.

I've been getting that same vibe from just about everyone I've encountered in the game so far. You ask anything in chat or shout and nearly no one replies, sometimes takes 10 minutes to get a reply. I suppose people are comming from games like Aion, or Lineage 2 or WoW where you can solo the game's (so to speak) I dunno, I just wanna help people and in return be helped. I love this community idea MMO, it's a good change from afore mentioned games.

I'm sure they'll give us access to a recipe book eventually, if not then that'd be kinda... lame? I dunno, it would be interesting to have to keep your very own recipe book that you write in every time you get a new one, but who's gunna do that? Anyway, I'm going to stick with being a blacksmith despite how irritating it can or will become. I just hope they impliment an Auction House by launch.

I'm trying to pull them all to gether in one thread so they're not scattered >.< That way instead of someone having to browse for ever, they can jsut click on the crafting corcer and have some place that will have links to everything they need for it. Think of it as one stop shopping. And no, the rec on ffxivorigins says it requires shards. But now that I think about it, I didn't have enough shards, but I've got a ways to go before I attempt some bronze stuff. I failed trying to create the head for the bronze ball pein hammer.

So there are links to recipe's, the best site I've found for this is FFXIVorigin.com they've got rec's for nearly every class. The only thing I'm confused about, and I can't find any info on it anywhere (you search FFXIV for anything all you get is FFXI stuff...) Is do you need to own recepies, or do you just follow one online and boom, you get it? Well, I tried that by attempting to make a Bronze Ignot which requires 4 Bronze Nuggets and 8 Fire Crystals. I have everything to make one, but I can't do it. Anyone with experience in this please help us out! I'll keep experimenting with stuff to try and figure things out.

How do we advance with our equipment and where can we go to get repairs to our equipment? My equipment appears to be damaged.

I would have gotten it up sooner, but I d idn't think about it the first time I did it, nor the second time... It wasn't until the third time I decided: "Hey, might as well write it down and share!" Glad it's helped some of you.
