Kieaira wrinkled her nose and frowned. Why does that Keeper keep looking at me?! She shook her head, turning her attention back to Lorielle and giving a small smile, a look of thanks in her eyes. "Oh this?" She pulled the book into her lap, it was thick, bound with white leather, but had no title, and no other markings that would make anyone think it was anything special. "It's nothing really... More of a notebook than anything. I tend to keep it with me at all times, I-- err, I'm a bit of a note taker." She placed a hand over the book and glanced at the others. I hope that doesn't make anyone curious... "Alright we're heading out, get back on, or get left behind!" The driver called out as he hopped back into his seat making the cart rock slightly. Kieaira shifted, settling herself back against the wall of the cart once more. It's going to be a long ride. She thought to herself, letting forth a small sigh.
-
"Tribe?" Her ears perked up and she stole a glance towards the Seeker male, before looking back to Daca'li. "Err..." She shook her head no, raising one hand to gently rub at the tip of her right ear while biting down on her lower lip, seeming rather nervous about the topic at hand. Another glance towards the Seeker, as she sunk back in her seat, now silently praying he would perhaps be getting off before the caravan made it to Gridania, at any case she had no plans to keep close by once they arrived. After a moment of staring at her hands which had fallen back into her lap she looked back to the Keeper male, and forced a small, awkward smile. Should I offer him more? She questioned herself, wondering how deep his curiosity ran. She glanced to Lorielle, a look of desperation in her eyes, as if pleading with the woman to say something, interrupt ... but she didn't really expect much, the girl was just as shy as she was, and probably grateful that she wasn't the one on trial. "That's the last one!" The driver called towards Tobias, tipping his head towards the travelers. "We're leaving." He called out to Clavier whom has sauntered off. "If you're not on board in five minutes, we're leaving without ya." Kieaira shifted in her seat, turning her body so she would be resting against the corner of the cart. "Why are you headed to Gridania?" She threw the question out to Daca'li, not wanting him to probe further into her life, especially with so many strange men about.
-
The driver eyes the two men whom, despite his words, had hopped out of the cart. "Oi, if you lot ain't gunna listen, you can help me with these last few boxes." He pointed at three more crates, grabbing one himself and lugging it back towards the merchants. "Mercenary?" Kieaira's soft voice peeped up. "Err... No..." She glanced down at herself. Do I look like a mercenary? She questioned herself. She was dressed from head to toe in dark blue cloth, her tunic buttoned along the front with a frilly lace framing the bottom, a pair of glasses rest upon her nose, and she carried a small book with her wherever she went, giving her more of a librarian look than anything else. Aside from her satchel and her book, she bore no weapons, nor did it seem she had been in many fights in her lifetime. "H-Home..." She stuttered out, and a soft flush came to her cheeks. "I'm going home." She said again, more firmly, pausing to glance towards the other two males that had remained on board, and silent. Their silence was almost eery, giving Kieaira the chills even.

The cart came to a sudden stop, causing Kieaira to once more fall against the wall of the cart with a slight grunt. She wrinkled her nose and furrowed her brow as she pushed herself back up. "Quick stop here at Black Brush, don't go running all over the place, we'll be leaving again right quick." Shouted the driver as he hopped down from his seat and walked around to the back, opening the gate, he grabbed one of the crates and headed off towards one of the merchants, leaving the travelers to themselves. Kieaira bit her lip and looked from passenger to passenger, they had all been rather quiet for the first part of the trip, perhaps due to it still being so early in the morning. She hoped that as they headed off to Camp Drybone for lunch, some more conversation would break out, and break the uncomfortable silence that surrounded them. "Should have a bit more room to move now." She commented with a nervous laugh as the cart driver returned and grabbed hold of another box, quickly disappearing again.

Kieaira graciously accepted the handkerchief, blowing her nose softly, though it still wiggled here and there, and she sniffled a little, as if another sneeze was imminent in the very near future. "Thank you." She smiled lightly, tipping her head in gratitude. "I'm sure there will be more space once they get rid of some of these crates." She nodded towards the entrance of the cart, wondering just how many of the boxes would be unloaded at Black Brush Station. Another soft sniffle brought the handkerchief once more to dab at her nose, but it seemed the sneeze was not yet ready. Kieiara's pale blue eyes looked past the raven-haired Hyur and the Seeker male, gazing at the scenery, as they passed by the Coffer and Coffin tavern, they would be stopping soon to unload some of the cargo and then it would be a few more bells to their rest stop at Camp Drybone. As she shifted her gaze back to her traveling companions, she locked eyes briefly with the Seeker and a chill ran down her back, causing her to look away quickly, turning her attentions once more on the female Elezean, now known as Lorielle. "I... err... I hope it doesn't take too long to get to Gridania." she smiled again, trying to at least make polite conversation with her, the men were quiet for the most part, though the other Miqo'te had begun a conversation of their own, it was not anything she was too interested in ... or perhaps it was simply that she was not interested in those having the conversation, than the conversation itself... in any light, she was much more content to try and get to know Lorielle for the time being.

Kieaira's nose twitched, as she turned her attention down to the sandwich, she wrapped it up once more and bent down to place it back inside her satchel to save for later, as she sat up her nose wiggled a few more times, her eyes scanning the others before stopping on the Hyur male seated across from her, this time she would not look away if he were to look back at her. Her lips parted slightly, and nose twitched again. "Ah---" Her eyes closed and her head fell back. "Ah--" She inhaled sharply, before finally letting forth ... "Ah-choo!" A loud sneeze, moving her arm up to cover the sneeze with her sleeve, so as not to spray the others. She sniffled and twitched her nose again, as she peered back at the Hyur once more. "S-sorry..." she mumbled, sniffling a bit more.
-
Kieaira gently bit down on her lower lip, hoping she could distract herself from her irrational fears by conversing with the Elezean woman. As she waited to see if she would respond, she took a moment to look over the other travelers. She wasn't sure what to make of any of them, but she was in no rush to get to know them, especially the other Miqo'te. She glanced at Clavier and gave a nervous smile, he had been nice enough so far, though she had been a bit put-off by his friendly gesture earlier when he had placed his hands on her shoulders ... she was always weary of such attentions. Her gaze than shifting back to the other Hyur male, a curious look in her eyes, but she would quickly look away, hoping he wouldn't notice as her attentions turned back to the only other female aboard.

http://i1304.photobucket.com/albums/s534/Melisa_Sider/Backtogridania_zps04f762b2.png[/img] Finally the last person was boarded, the gate raised and the driver clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, and gave the reigns a good shake to get the chocobo's moving. The cart creaked slightly and rocked a bit as it started to move, causing Kieaira to fall against the front of the cart just enough to cause a flush to come to her cheeks. She steadied herself and took another small nibble of her sandwich, glancing from person to person. She was so greatful to be sitting next to the only other female on board, but as luck would have it, she seemed just as shy. The driver began to hum softly, the day had begun, the sun lit up the area, bringing with it, the familiar heat of Thanlan. Kieiara finished one triangle of her sandwich and let out a small sigh, it was going to be a long day, and there wasn't much room on the cart, she was looking forward to the stop at Drybone, but that was still several bells away. She glanced at the Seeker once more, giving him a bit of a stare for a brief moment before turning her gaze back to the other female. She forced a small smile, seeming uncomfortable, but she was determined to make friends ... at the very least she wanted to break the awkward silence. "H-Hi...." She said softly. "I-I'm ... K-Kieaira." She forced another small smile, her eyes shifting so as not to meet the gaze of the other woman, or anyone else for that matter, though she managed a glance at the males, trying to notice if anyone reacted to her name. Stop being so paranoid, no one here knows you ... They're going to think you're some sort of shifty thief or something! She silently scolded herself.
-
Kieaira's ears perked up, and she lowered the satchel ever so slightly until her nose was peeking over the bag, her gaze shifting towards the Elezean woman. Oh thank the Twelve! She lowered the bag a bit more. "There's a seat here." She said softly, nodding towards the seat next to her, her pale blue eyes taking quick glances towards the Seeker male every few seconds. "Everybody in, we have a schedule to keep!" The driver's voice cried out. "Our first stop will be Black Brush Station, so I hope everyone went to the bathroom before they got here. It will be a quick stop to drop off some cargo, and pick up any other passengers ... I don't want everyone hoping off when we get there. We'll have a rest break at Camp Drybone, around lunchtime, so try to hold it until then. Got it?" Kieaira nodded, obviously the driver wouldn't see it. She opened her satchel and pulled out a small wrapped sandwich that she had grabbed before leaving the Quicksand, something to tie her over until lunch. Slowly she placed her bag onto the floor, unwrapping the sandwich and taking one of the triangles, nibbling on the corner lightly, as they waited for the last two to climb in so they could be on their way.
-
Kieaira pulled her satchel closer, hiding the lower part of her face with it, and shifting her head so that her ivory hair would fall across her eyes as she gazed at those climbing into the back of the cart that would take them towards Gridania. The cart would make a few stops along the way for rest breaks and to let people on or off, but it would be a little while before their first stop. She watched Tobias' interaction with the Chocobo and smiled, though it was hidden and faded away quickly as he climbed into the cart, sitting himself down across from her. Her eyes shifting to the male Keeper who sat near the front, lost in his own thoughts. I hope he's not grumpy because he was told not to tease me... She wrinkles her nose a bit, her gaze shifting upwards as another Miqo'te boarded. ....No. Please... She whimpered softly as he sat down across from her, next to Tobias. He's a Seeker... He's going to kill the others, kidnap me and take me back to his tribe! Her ears lay flat against her head and she tried to shrink down a bit more, hoping he wouldn't notice her, he hadn't spoken yet ... that was a good sign ... right? Calm down Kieaira, you don't know this male ... There's plenty of people around ... you're safe. Right? RIGHT?! A soft sob escaped her lips, her own thoughts causing a sense of dread to cross over the girl, her nails digging into the leather of her satchel. She wished she could just climb right inside and hide for the remainder of the trip. Very slowly, she turned her head away from the Seeker. "C-Clavier? A-are you coming?" She said in a very soft, barely audible tone. She could feel the cart shift as the driver climbed aboard, just about ready to leave. Her eyes dart back towards the Seeker once more, hoping her inquiry towards one of the Hyur males had not brought his attention to her. Should he look at her, she would immediately shrink down, and pull the satchel across her face, daring not to meet his eyes.
-
Kieaira shrunk down as Clavier placed his hands upon her shoulders, making her even shorter than the measly five feet she already was. Her ears lay flat against her head, she appeared extremely uncomfortable, even more so than the other Keepers teasing had made her. "Let's load up!" The driver called out to the others, the sun having climbed high enough to light the sands around them, making their path to Gridania clear. Kieaira hoisted her bag onto the cart and climbed up herself, scurrying to the furthest corner she could manage, though unsure if that was a good idea. I'm safe here if bandits attack from behind ... but I'm also far from the only way out if I need to make a hasty exit. She let forth a very soft whimper, clutching her bag to her chest as she waited for the rest to climb aboard, her pale blue eyes watching each of them with uncertainty, especially the other Miqo'te.
-
Kieaira gently wrapped her arms around her chest in a comforting embrace as she rocked back onto her heels, her ears twitching at the sound of voices and she looked towards the cart driver and what appeared to be some sort of hired help. Her pale blue eyes looked almost white in the dim light of dawn as they locked with the Hyur male, and her cheeks flushed as she quickly turned away, placing her attention once more on Clavier, whom she had met the previous night. She gently but down on her lower lip, and closed her eyes taking in a few deep breaths to calm her nerves, her card reading from the previous day coming to mind. Confront your past... and perhaps you can get over this shy, awkwardness ... Maybe? She doubted herself, and wrinkled her nose in distaste as she opened her eyes once more. "Bandits?" She squeaked softly as her ears pricked up, Clavier had been speaking to her, and she had only just caught the end of it. "Wh-Where?" She looked around, ivory strands of hair falling across her pale face, cheeks still a slight shade of pink as the sun climbed higher into the sky, it was almost time to head out. She let out another small squeak as her eyes landed on the other Miqo'te. "A bandit?!" She gasped, shuffling a bit away, before pausing to take a hard look at the male, and breathing a small sigh of relief. Keeper. She nodded to herself, but still felt uncomfortable, as she reached down to pick up her bag, heading towards the back of the cart, trying to hide herself from the others.
-
Kieaira nods her head in Claviers direction. So he came ... this should be interesting. She glanced back towards the gate, part of her wishing to see the furry nose of the carbuncle she had grown so fond of, but when she didn't see it right away, she looked back to the cart. She picked up her bag, heaving it onto her shoulder as she walked over, her tail swaying behind her as she walked. "Good morning." She smiled, still feeling a bit nervous around this stranger, she hoped a few more people would show up for the trip, she didn't think he was dangerous, but it was always safer to travel in a group, who knows what sort of beasts they could run into on the road. She slid a hand along her belt, checking her pouches to make sure they were still where they should be, they were, of course. "We'll be heading out in about thirty minutes." The cart driver, a young hyur male with blonde hair and blue eyes nodded at the two, leaving them to check on the Chocobo's and the other cargo. Kieaira shifted her weight onto her right leg, bringing one hand to rub at her arm nervously, unsure of what to say, she looked up at him and let out a soft nervous chuckle, wishing there were others around to help break the tension. She looked back towards the gate once more to see if anyone would be joining them.

Kieaira's lips turned up in a small smile as she nodded to the man, placing her hands onto the edge of the table and pushing her chair back, making a slight creaking noise as it moved. She stood from her chair and looked down at Kyubey with a sad smile, moving her hand once more to nuzzle his face. "I guess ... you could come..." She chewed on her lower lip a bit, still a bit uncertain, as she was with all strangers, but not like she could do anything about it. "There's a cart that leaves just after dawn in the morning, if you want to come ... be there." She looked up towards Clavier, and then shifted her gaze to Aartur. "I will write... perhaps we can meet again soon... I would really love to see Kyubey again, and learn how to summon a carbuncle of my own..." She smiled softly, truly she would miss the little furry creature, part of her wished Aartur would join her as well, and bring the carbuncle along with him, though she would not ask. Don't be selfish... If you don't see him again, you'll find a way.... She turned slightly to regard the others at the table. "Baer, Elisan..." She cleared her throat softly, bringing her hands together in front of her, fumbling with her fingers. "It was nice to meet you both, I hope we can meet again someday." She bows her head, before stepping back from the table. "I should be heading to my room for the night ... early start and all." She gave a small wave as she stepped away from the table, and headed off towards her room. Am I silly for thinking I will miss Kyubey most of all? She shook her head with a small laugh as she walked up the stairs. Perhaps, but they were really nice, I do want to see them again... Her long white tail disappearing from sight, leaving the others to their conversations.
-
Kieaira jumped just slightly, not expecting the sigh from the strange hyur male. "... Err.. I'll be leaving rather early in the morning..." She bit down on her lower lip nervously. Who is this guy? Where did he come from? Why does he want to come with me? Her mind coming up with all sorts of nightmarish theories. ".... W-who are you? Umm ... Your name .. that is..." she looked to Aartur, almost hoping he would hop in and save her. Save you from what, you dolt! She silently scolded herself, reaching to pull Kyubey back into her arms and holding the soft carbuncle close ... even if it wasn't hers.
-
Kieaira looked to Kyubey with an almost sad sort of gaze, before lifting her hand for him to nuzzle against. "I would rather enjoy having a companion of my own..." She tilted her head, ivory locks of hair falling across her face, partially hiding her pale blue eyes. As she retreated once more into her mind, a soft noise from behind brought her back to reality as soon as she had left it. "Delivery, Kupo!" Kieaira blinked as she looked at the floating moogle holding out a sealed letter with her name upon it. She smiled, and bowed her head in thanks. She sat up in her seat to open and read the letter, her brow furrowing in thought as her eyes darted across the page. "Hrm..." She mused softly, folding the letter and placing it into one of the pouches that hung from her belt. "I ... err ... may have to take you up on your offer later." She glanced up at Aartur through the strands of hair that hung over her eyes. "Seems I will be going back to Gridania tomorrow." She let out a small sigh, as her fingers slid up Kyubeys' face to skritch between his ears.
-
Kieaira frowns a small wrinkle forming on her forehead at Aarturs' words. Worth a try? She let out a small huff, gently lifting the carbuncle from her lap and back onto the table so that it could return to its' master. "You don't have too.... If you don't want too..." A few strands of ivory hair falling across her eyes as she turned her head away. "I can figure it out on my own." She mumbled softly. I don't need anyone ... I've always been self-sufficient, why start asking for help now? Her pale blue eyes looked upon the newcomer with slight curiosity, her ears wilting a bit as she sunk down in her chair ever so slightly, hoping someone else would give out the introductions.
-
Kieaira pursed her lips as she thought about Aartur's offer, shifting her gaze back to Elisan as she dealt the cards. A small wrinkle forming on her forehead as she peered over intently, clearly in deep thought as the explanation of each card was told. She nodded her head slowly in understanding, it did make sense to her ... well at least for the most part it did. Perhaps I was brought here today for a reason. She found herself thinking. "Thank you." She smiled, though clearly still contemplating everything, her fingers weaving in and out of the fur of the carbuncle, bringing her back once more to Aartur's proposal. "I think..." She paused, again thinking back to the cards. "I would like to learn." She nodded slowly, though it was clear there was still much on her mind. She shook her head, pushing the thoughts to the back of her mind for the time being, and waved to the server once more. "Another drink for the lady." She smiled, wanting to offer something in return for the reading.
-
Slowly, the ivory haired Miqo'te lifted her hands from the comforting fur of Aartur's carbuncle to take the cards. She shuffled them and handed them back with a nervous smile towards Elisan, her hands once more falling, gently, atop Kyubey, as she gave Aartur a nod. "I have a soft spot for cute, furry things..." She gave a soft chuckle, the pink on her cheeks growing a bit deeper of a red.
-
Kieaira blinked, the soft flush returning to her cheeks as the attention once more fell to her. She looked down at Aartur's carbuncle, that was curled up in her lap, as if asking it, if it thought it was a good idea. She swallowed audibly. "I... I guess it can't hurt..." she smiled nervously towards Elisan. She began stroking the length of the carbuncle's body to calm herself. Why are you so nervous? Knock it off. Silently she scolded herself.
-
Kieaira smiles at Baer, unsure of how exactly to react to his joking ... she had never met a man quite like him ... in fact she had never really met anyone like any of those at the table. Her attention shifted to Elisan as she told Aartur his fortune, her ears perking up at interest as she peered at the cards. "Interesting..." She mused softly, rubbing two fingers back and forth between the carbuncles ears. I wonder what those cards would say about me. Gently she pulled her bottom lip back with her teeth, chewing on it nervously. What was .... is better left where it is. What is ... a shy girl with no idea what she's doing ... What may come? I'm not sure I want to know. She let out a soft sigh and looked back down to the carbuncle, forcing a small smile. I wonder if Aartur would notice if I took you home with me? She chuckled softly to herself, she had grown quite attached to the little creature in such a short time.
-
Kieaira nodded with a cheerful "Mm-hmm", even going so far as to give a Baer a cute little smile, her eyes closed and scrunched up, and her sharp canines peeking past her lips, as she did her best to assure him that she was in-fact just fine.... perhaps even more than fine. She had grown somewhat accustomed to those around her, and it seemed the carbuncle was helping her confidence somewhat. "How was your meal?" she found herself asking Baer without hesitation, as she glanced briefly at Aartur and Elisan, curious as to what the fortune might hold, but not wanting to be impolite she quickly looked back to Baer for a response, hoping perhaps to get him talking a bit, and not so much focused on her odd behaviours.
