That certainly doesn't raise flags for all or even most RPers. For some, levels matter more than for others. There's several pages of threads one can dig up just on the RPC forums that demonstrate that it's hardly a settled debate. Indeed, I myself do this for both my characters. (Except Natya's warrior because I levelled up pretty rapidly after changing her from Pugilist IC) And I know at least two people in my free companies who do the same.

Back on topic, the Gigas do not in fact revere Shiva, the subject of their worship is the Crystal Tower. They are known to carry idols carved in its likeness as well as stealing anything relating to it such as maps and drawings. This out of the quests in Saint Coinach's find, in Mor Dhona.

We know Ul'dah has nobility, we know Garlemald has nobility, Ala Mhigo, being a formerly independant nation, probably had nobility. Ishgard is not the only society in Eorzea with noble families, it is simply the one with the most emphasis on them.

My alt character's family was nobility in Ala Mhigo but they fell from grace when Garlemald conquered that. Now they're refugees in Ul'dah

I would be happy to put at your disposal the sellswords and craftsmen of the Skyguard Corsairs. We are a small mercenary company with grand ambitions, and I think a sponsorship could prove mutually beneficial.

The Skyguard Corsairs have established their base of operations and staging ground in the fishing port; Crescent Cove with the villagers' consent in exchange for protection.

Nat's greatest weakness I think is that she's too well balanced. Her skill is in my mind, second to none. But her strength, speed, and vitality/stamina all lose out to someone who is specialized in the respective attributes. A typical jack of all trades.
