/tell Fkzthls Tllkjsa *tell sent...reply recieved...retypes complicated name every single time* And even having to type /party every time I want to talk in team is incredibly inefficient. Are there shortcuts to streamline these processes that I have not stumbled across yet?

Once we get this information made, it could fit in there, but it wouldn't be instantly recognizable for people looking for heights unless he edited his title some.

Well, I've done a bit of testing using my XBOX 360 wireless controller. For moving around the world map, it can't be beat. You can keep on moving around while going through the menus and enjoying the scenery, it works out nice. No mouse lag to deal with either. The problem though, is that once you enter combat things get a bit different. Choosing attacks isn't as simple as pushing a button ala 12345, etc. You basically interact with your action bar as a menu, using the D pad (if this is what you assigned) to move from 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on manually. Left and right. Then hit confirm when you want to use the attack. It's..tolerable when you have 4 moves, but when you start getting into five or six, it gets annoying to deal with, especially if there's any UI lag. Another big issue is changing targets. The D-pad target selection is a bit fussy and sometimes you won't fully exit your action menu and be able to use your D-pad to select targets, leading you to accidentally use your battle...thing. Whatever G does on the keyboard, I forget the name. This can cost you a fight that came down to the last round. Overall, I'm going to keep using it and adjust until I can't handle it anymore. I'm sure once I get the hang of macros (I have left and right triggers assigned to ctrl and alt macro menus) I'll find it a bit easier to deal with combat. Your thoughts? Recommendations on how to alter the controls?

Going off the doorways sounds like a pretty good idea. Suppose we can take an average of everyone's guesses from that, so they can all work independently. You are a genius, good sir!

I have found the inability to add friends if they are offline to be incredibly vexing.

I'd like to make, or see a list of XIV to RL conversions of our best guesses regarding height in-game, but of course I need a lot of people of a lot of races with different height settings...all within an area I can access. I have a tallest human female in Gard. I have a tallest Miqo'te in Limsa. I forget how tall my male human is. So, if we can all...gather somewhere, sometime and try to hash out conversions into feet/inches and centimeters/meters and post it up somewhere, think people would appreciate it.

I keep telling myself that. But the effect is a lot less than I would like it. I don't mean to pry, but you'll have to explain to me why this is such an issue. Pandora's Box!

Drives me nuts as I was just about to test if my 360 controller layout was good for combat or not.

What are your impressions thus far? Has anyone done any RPing as of yet? I enjoy the story and the mechanics for the most part, but I am hearing rumblings that once you finish off the brief starter city storyline...there's nothing else. You grind mobs and guildleves forever. I'm certain this is not the case though, as that would be...insane. ((Note: If the servers are actually not down and it's just me, what the heck is going on with my client?))

I played it when I was seven years old. I was in grade 2 or 3. I remember playing pretend on the playground about FFIV. It was kind of a big deal to me as a young'un.

I really wanted Mysidia, as every time I read the name the music of the town pops into my head, but...I'd rather continue to push Lindblum out of the lead and went with Besaid. Bah, voting with my mind instead of my heart.
