They had been friends for years. They loved each other, he cared for her as a friend and she worshiped the ground he walked in. They were not meant to be more though. Their friendship endured through good things and bad things. Through battles and friends that came and went but their friendship survived. They had seen everything from Captain Morgan through Ravana together and survived them all. He was a great captain of the Maelstrom and she was trying to keep up and prove herself a worthy bard. Through everything they were closer than two peas in a pod. The fights were common. Usually of her own doing. But somehow they always worked through them, but this time seemed different, it seemed harder for them to move past it and she felt the awkwardness and the feelings that she disappointed him. It was a couple of days after the most recent round when they went out for a hunt as they usually did to clear the hunts for the day. They were fighting the terrible cold, windy,snowy highlands looking for yeti. On their hunt they made jokes and laughed and tried to find the meanings of the ship abandoned in the northern part of Western Coerthas. He nearly impaled his griffon while she laughed and threatened to call local authorities because of the atrocities he threatened upon his poor stead in jest. As they got on with the business at hand of clearing the yeti’s in the area of Riversmeet they came upon a band of silver wolves that stumbled on their path. She was not yet of full age on this day, while the warrior was but in his full Maelstrom gear as of yet. Unknowingly they got in over their head and the silver wolves came in vicious succession one after the other. She felt so overwhelmed and her arrows seemed to fly everywhere and not land a single shot. She thought that did she have her Yoichi bow with her she could put them down in a heartbeat but not with the new bow. She used all her might and fought the best she could. She was using every skill imagined and the warrior at her side was holding his own as he often did but could not get on top of them completely on his own. They fought the battle that seemed like forever and as he was gathering the last round of silver wolves she fired a reign of death down on the group to realize that she had used the last of what she had inside of her. He lunged backward and two of the wolves turned away from his axe and headed straight for the bard. She was unable to protect herself and could not find her footing. She stumbled backward trying to get away from the wolves and found herself hanging on to the ledge of a large cliff. There was nothing she could do to get control back, aside from using her bow as a melee weapon. The warrior told her to hold on he was coming but in the time it took she felt the heavy sting of one of the wolves jaws rip through her heavy leather armor and cut deeply into her body immediately drawing blood. She fell back off the side of the cliff onto a ledge that protected her from falling into oblivion however she also felt the crack of her back as she did. She looked up and saw the efforts of the warrior to finish off the last two wolves. She looked up at the warrior but was barely able to see him. The pain was astounding and she was not able to move. The warrior jumped off the side of the cliff onto the ledge and knelt down beside her. He worked quickly to see what damage was done and what he could repair. She knew what damage had been done and just looked up at him while he did scurried to try to patch this and fix this and that to no avail. As the pain began to engulf her, she grabbed his hand and pulled it close and whispered to him “today the wrong wolf was fed warrior of dragons deep.” With that she closed her eyes and took a deep breath in and felt the pain dissipate hurt no more.

I feel alot of everyone's pain in joining in. I have a friend I beg to go with me to rp on Balmung, but its hard because he has started to build a group of friends now and his story and my story aren't meshed enough to have as much going on if we rp together and I am way too afraid to just start rp'ing with people as I'm afraid I don't know the proper etiquette or will say something wrong. I also sometimes feel like my character has to have this amazing life story to be able to participate and its still a work in progress. I wish you luck and hope you find your way.

I cannot wait to see this. I have been working really hard on my characters back story and it seems like at every turn I find out that the lore is getting in the way. Not in a bad way but some things could not have happened, some places didn't exist, that type of thing and having a place to go for all of this in one place would be amazing. I also agree with others that have said you have to have the 1.0 stuff right along with the 2.0 stuff, because something as simple as being in Bronze Lake can make a huge difference because it didn't exist 5 years ago. I know it would make my mentor very happy because they wouldn't have to always correct me with the lore stuff. Well maybe, it would also mean I have to read and well, yeah (kinda lazy with that). But it would be awesome and I can't wait to see it materialize.

I'm still very new to this but I'm pretty open to anything. I mean the first night I let my friend roll my character right in the middle of the bar and I think stunned a few people. I like to rp one and one and have been doing that alot with a good friend because I'm getting accustomed to the "rule" of rp but we have had people come up and talk to us and that has been alot of fun also. I've tried doing a bit with his friends that hasn't gone to well and I didn't like that, so I'm still just trying to find my way myself. I'm finding that this takes alot more concentration and planning than I thought. Like my friend I know their story pretty well but I have to remember what my character knows and have to stay within those boundaries and that takes ALOT of practice.

In that case, I won't remove you. There is no obligation here, and other chapters of the plot will be open to new characters. There are still some that have recently joined, or are going to join. Some are alts that don't get on too often while some others are characters I see on 24/7 as if they were crack-heads. Different parts of the plot are open to different people. For example, Raelisanne is not a combat character. However, she is a more scholar-type. She will be used soon when we have the Pandora Tek to examine, and there are some recent developments that will suddenly make her more valuable. Or, we have Saehri. I just assume she is ICly watching Limsa Lominsa when she is not online. When she is online, she can be used as a little plot device, or for key events. Because she is "hired", she doesn't have to be kept up to date on every little plot detail. Or, we have Yvelont. He has been to, like, ONE event. However, he even played a key role of helping us capture an assassin alive. Or, we have Xydane. We can't get him to go away, so we just accept his "Unrelenting" RPs. :lol: I'm just kidding Xydane :love: You have helped the plot tremendously. I am hoping to get you even more involved. But, as you can see, we have various characters in this plot. Some play big parts, others play little parts. As for your RP skills, I RPed with you once. I must say, if I am good enough of an RPer to be the leader, you are certainly good enough to be part of the plot. In other words, you did great. I saw nothing wrong with your performance. I'm going to reread whats happened so far and get on tonight and give it a try and see how things go.

May I ask why? I hope no one offended. Regardless, I understand. I may not remove you right away though, you can always make a come-back at a later date. Oh no not at all. I just feel like I am way too far behind, not on very much, and everyone seems so good I don't know that my RP skills are up to par with everyone else.

I so want to get involved in this because of the character I have created and it helps her story from what I've seen, but I am so nervous because she is brand new and I have yet to engage in any RP'ing other than with a friend, and I have a main character on another server. Would you be willing to include a very new person and one that isn't on Balmung that often into the story?
