It's mostly for a change of scenery

So, my character, is a healer who wants to contribute more to their group than just standing back and waiting for them to get hurt. As such, I'd like to try and get a mentor to be able to teach them how to actually fight as an IC gateway to me leveling a combat based class. Would anyone have a character, not necessarily a mentor type, but someone who would teach, even begrudgingly, a youngin' how to fight properly. If you're interested, please post here or PM me at Rynn Berne

So, I've come to a point where my character has decided they no longer want to just sit at the sidelines and wait for people to get hurt. What would you guys suggest for a combat class that could be a believable transition for someone who's spent a good chunk of their life in the Shroud studying Conjurery?

I've updated the thread a fairy amount and hope I can get some interest in commissions to fund my weaving disaster : D!

My character might be able to help~!

What time zone is the conjurer class in? -
Okay, so it's late, and I'm falling asleep. Apologies in advanced for any awkward phrasing and what not! I want to have my character get involved in a lot of RP outside of my company and to help develop my character more. If anyone wants to plot with me, feel free to reply here or contact me in game at Rynn Berne. The character is a sixteen year old conjurer who is currently limited in his travels. He can only travel around the Mist or to the cities, only if he has someone with him. The reasons for this are because of his weak body and a voidsent that's been causing trouble for him. As such, I'd like to find more RP for him while he's stuck in the Mist and maybe some for when he gets out. I'm up for anything from friends, mentors, rivals, love interests and much much more! Hope to hear back soon!

I'm trying to spam the dungeon for the Battlemage set, but I keep having bad luck with pugs DX I'm a White Mage, and I really want that set. Would anyone be kind enough to go through the dungeon with me a couple of times, or even just once, to help me? I'm still new to the dungeon, with only one complete run, so I haven't yet gotten all the beats down for the two last bosses since my pugs typically fight and leave before then ;>.< Anyone wanna help a poor healer?

Hi, I play a young conjurer named Rynn who's been studying since he was a very young child due to his hearing talents. I'd love to have other conjurers for him to converse with, especially because he's recently run into two older conjurers who seem to be breaking the rules. SO, he really needs other conjurers to play with since he's basically been kind of isolated with the exception of his family and the higher ups everyone meets in the Conjurer's guild. Not to mention, he's having some trouble with a void touched, so the more the merrier! Feel free to respond in game by telling me at Rynn Berne or by just posting here and leaving your name~

Eh? I was talking about gil commissions o-o~ Thanks though, I'll probably do that~

Hello hello! Re editing this thread for some better reading~! I've decided to do some commission stuff, but I'm not sure if my drawing style will work for some people. So uh, here goes nothing! Prices Bust (A drawing of the neck/shoulders up) Clean Sketch/Ink: 40k Shaded Ink/Colored: 60k Waist Up (A drawing of the waist, chest and head) Clean Sketch/Ink: 90k Shaded Ink/Colored: 120k Complete (A full body sketch) Clean Sketch/Ink: 140k Shaded Ink/Colored: 170k Multiple People (Drawings of any type involving more than one person)/Props Speak to me. It honestly depends on the characters, outfits, items and poses. Er, if you have any questions, feel free to ask down below or contact me in game. I'm not sure about taking paypal stuff. I might if enough people request it, but right now, I mostly want gil to pay for weaving... :"D.... Any who! Here are some samples! Er, if you want something, just use this form: In Game Name: Character Name: Commission Category: Details: (Here you put whether you like any certain style, coloring type, roughness/smoothness to the lines, anything special you want to be being done or a prop) References: Hope to hear from ya' soon! ______________________________________________________________ Current List: 1.Gwen (Bare Bones Sketch; EST Tuesday Night 7/27) 2. Some people honestly think real life gender matters during RP. It's a childish notion, but some people honestly think that by saying that someone is not the gender they are portraying in character they'll some how shame that person as if its a bad thing. It isn't. You're fine. As long as you're both enjoying yourself, do what you wish.

The question then becomes "why play Miqo'te at all" when male midlanders (I don't know about highlanders) can be much more boyish? Mostly because of the Mind boost. Can claim it's stats all you want.. lol.. Those stats are negligible. Jana has a great point. All male miqo'te also have markings beneath their eyes that darken as they age. So to hide his gender, or appear as feminine as you want him to, you would have to wear make up to cover those markings. Which means you're character would be purposefully trying to look like a girl. I'm not saying they can't be feminine, but they have traits that you cannot ignore. They are males. They will always be a little taller than females. They will always have a more masculine voice and structure. They'll have their male markings. Miqo'te is a poor race to choose if you want a femmeboy character, despite it being the most common choice for those who want that. I think this is the closest to a rude reply I've gotten on this thread. That makes me kind of happy. You see, I'm use to games where the bonus stats of races make differences in the game play. I'll probably think about reworking into a Hyur then, but I actually kind of enjoy the look I managed to get for the character.

Yeah, the character was named by Hyur. I'm not familiar enough with Miqo'te lore to play one raised by an actual tribe, so I'd rather go with the lore I do know.

Hello! I'm a returning player, and I figured I'd say hello! I'm playing on the Balmung server, so if anyone wants to add me or say hi in game, feel free to! My character is a young traveler named Rynn Berne who is currently a Conjurer in training. I love all sorts of RP, so don't feel shy to approach me! I'm also looking for fun Link Shells!
-
I'd love to RP with you sometime : D Add me on Rynn Berne!

Awesome <3 I've made my char, so expect a whisper from Rynn Berne soon!

So. . .I guess what you're saying is that the character would purposefully play a drag queen type? I ask this because biologically there is a difference between the way males and females move, due to center of gravity and how the skeletal structure is set up. So I mean, just being raised by females and having female mannerisms is more of a cultural than a biological, and for the rest it'd mean he was err. . .stuffing his clothes. So if that's something that your character would do, then it'd work really well and would do away with any awkward questions pertaining to the model aspects. (or, at least, if it's mentioned during rp then you can just have him in drag, and if it's not mentioned then don't worry about it sort of thing) That's what I'll do I guess. Haha oh yes. Ah your boy looks gorgeous Thanks for the advice! Ah, that was wonderful for a sleep deprived post : D! Thank you!

Yes cats! >80 Actually, this is my first cat person. I typically play Hyurs, but I want to try out that mind boost the Keepers get. I don't mind the confusion. The character is suppose to be a little bit of a brat and would probably purposely make himself look even more feminine just to trick people. Ah awesome The character is suppose to have been raised by a large family of females, so his mannerisms would be very feminine. I hope that can be a reasonable excuse for him having feminine mannerisms. Ah like I said before, it'd be in the character's nature to want to trick people for fun, and I don't mind explaining OOCly. That's fine. Thanks for the feed back !

So, I've been wanting to make a lithe Conjurer. I know for a fact that I want them to be male, but I don't know which character model I want to use. A lot of the robes do cover up the body quite well, and they can make a character seem nearly flat chested. I want a young, lithe young boy, around fifteen or sixteen. The character I have in mind is suppose to be fairly weak, unable to fight properly and relaying on magic for the most part. His lithe nature is suppose to be the result of malnutrition as a child. I'm a returning player, so I want to pick an option that would alienate me less from the community. These are the two looks I'm struggling with: http://i.imgur.com/gO2eXIR.png Any suggestions, hints or stories that could help me figure out which would be best to do? I'm leaning towards the female character model myself. I also want to know how the community ICly would react to a character like this. I know this isn't a new thing, but I'm curious as to what the IC repercussions might be as well as the OOC one.
