  1. "Oh, that does smell wonderful!", she said. Leaning towards the table, Coatleque carefully drizzled some honey into her cup, as well as a splash of cream before stirring it all together with a spoon. She gently placed the spoon overhanging the saucer when she was finished. She watched Aya immediately start sipping her own tea with wide eyes. "Aya! Isn't that hot?!", she exclaimed.
  2. (( Been a while. Jumping forward in time! *magic* )) Coatleque sat at a table along the edge of the room, just below the rail. It was the same table, in fact, that she had been sitting at just a week prior when her... guest... (yes, he was just a dinner guest) had met his unfortunate end. Had it really only been one week now? So much had occurred since then it seemed a lifetime ago. She had been taking double posts the past few days to keep her mind off of other things, and this was one of the few times she could sit and relax. Leaning back in her chair with her arms crossed she seemed to be angrily staring at the vacant chair to her left. A single shot of some reddish-brown colored liquid was on the table before her smelling faintly of cinnamon. "Tae yer̃ so called good health, ye rat bastar̃d.", she muttered as she leaned forward. She downed the shot with a cringe. It burned, more-so than regular whiskey would. "Och, ye knew how tae pick 'em.", she commented before leaning back once again.
  3. "You know," she continued, "I am highly suspect that his name actually is Crooked. Honestly, what kind of a name would that be? How presumptuous of his parents to assume he was dishonest straight from birth. No, he must have assumed this name. That does leave me curious as to his real name though." She crossed her legs under her dress and leaned forward a little. "I made a brief visit to his shop. It is a rather crowded place, so be careful if you go. I would say he has a little of everything, though I did not find exactly what I was looking for. I had the distinct impression he was keeping something back, perhaps for a more discerning customer. It seems most merchants around here are hesitant to speak with me when I am alone." Coatleque shrugged and adjusted her beret slightly. "I cannot imagine why."
  4. For my part, I'm perfectly content being the grunt that others get to order around. Leadership is too much work and makes my brain hurt.
  5. I was busy last night. Swamp castle is under way. Raised garden over top of a small inlet, held up by fenced walls. Right next to a mine for stone supply.
  6. We role-play in real-time baby! In all seriousness, you'll get used to it after a while. Especially in a large crowd, you learn to look for the name-tags you are expecting a reply from and sort of tune out the rest. You can also split channels up into a second chat window to help separate IC from OOC channels. Also, recoloring some may help make them easier to read.

  8. The Knight seemed to relax the more Aya spoke. It may have been the quiet, or perhaps her lightheartedness. Her head canted to the side away from the tilt of her beret. "Why not in the Quicksand? Has Mistress Momodi forbidden flowers at the tables? Though I do suppose the Adventurer's guild may take offence." She looked around the room once more. "Talk about whatever I like? I am afraid I haven't much to speak of. Ser Castille is still away in Coerthas. There is an odd new shopkeeper just at the edge of the lane named Tarot. None of these are things you probably do not know, though. I'd think you would have more to say to me, honestly! A unique benefit of your job, you hear everyone yet nobody realizes you are listening, aye?"
  9. I also agree with the very well stated OP. There is not much more I could add. Coatleque is not affiliated with any Grand Company. As a Sultansworn she will cooperate with the Flames as required by politics, and even in that situation she would be considered a private - following rank rather than pulling it.
  10. You know, I think there was some swampland near that 2nd island... Suddenly I'm having an idea for a new castle.
  11. Wanted to come on and walk around last night but was caught up in RP all night. I will need to find a large enough plot to build the typical castle I usually do.
  12. You can do those things in other places... I want to hear more of this dungeon...
  13. I returned the max viewing distance to 16 chunks, and restarted it in "nogui" mode. Avg CPU load with nobody on dropped from 50% to 10%. With just me connected, it hovered around 25%. Hopefully this will fix most lag issues.
  14. Tonight I'll make adjustments to try and reduce lag. Seems the CPU is pegged, and this is the only thing running on that box. Single CPU, Xeon E3-1225 v3, 12 GB RAM. It keeps saying it can't keep up and skips ticks. 60-70% average usage. As far as the starting location goes, it's a tiny island with negligible resources, but there's a larger one to the east.
  15. Look, it's a drunk Sultansworn and her usual tact! Roen Deneith pauses when she spots Crofte looking her way again. She winces. Roen Deneith: "Did.. something happen or..?" Coatleque Crofte: "But nae... nae... Roen! Master Franz here says ye'll nae have tae worry about that Master Lazarov anymore." Roen Deneith: "Is this... a festive drinking... outing..." she paused. Roen Deneith suddenly stiffened, shooting a -look- to Franx. Franz Renatus gives Roen a look that says "we need to talk about something" Roen Deneith: "About that." Suddenly her voice turned icy. Coatleque Crofte nods to herself. Roen Deneith: "We -do- need to talk." Franz Renatus: "And there is much to talk about, but not at this exact moment" Roen Deneith 's tone was suddenly intent. Franz Renatus is a little concerned about how drunk Croft was Roen Deneith makes a straight face at Franz Renatus. Coatleque Crofte: "Aye, he says my subornimate has a plan. Which I think means Natalie is about tae step in shite again..."
  16. Per Kage's idea, we dub this ship The Reno! *smashes wine bottle over Nero*
  17. You just had to jinx it... The first map generated by the server places start on a crap-hole island with two rabbits, two sheep, and a single chicken. Server address is mc.forink.me Difficulty is set to 2 with no PVP for now. I'm going to run my roulettes in the mean time!
  18. *sighs* Warren... *flutter* Wait, you meant someone else?
  19. If I do, it would be the latest vanilla release in survival mode. So, 1.8 And I'll probably give it 6-8 GB of RAM to minimize lag. I've looked into mods before, but honestly I don't have time to deal with anything more than a texture pack. This is just for quick fun-zies.
  20. I have a server sitting at home doing nothing right now. It's got a Xeon, 12 GB RAM, and I basically use it to dump files. If there's any interest, I can see about starting up Minecraft on it. Not that any of us would actually play it, since we're always on FF XIV
  21. *cowers* I didn't... I didn't mean the event! I meant Oscare's storm!
  22. I recommend ponchos and respirators... because it's going to smell.
