There are two realms that FFXIV are largely involved in it looks like: Eorzea and the Garlean Empire. My question is though, is if there is anything beyond the Sea of Ash and the Sea of Jade? I'm looking at the different possibilities of my character being from an entirely different Realm, but I wanted to know where are some other places besides the Empire?

Morning everyone, I ask this out of curiosity, because I'm thinking about starting one, and because I used to see them all the time during my time in GW2: What is the overall opinion on RP Blogs? I'm starting to think that starting one would make for a fun pass time when I feel like chronicling the adventures of my characters, and give me additional creative outlets to help relax from the monotony of real life

I'm fairly new myself. Kinda. I played for a little while before I stopped. I'm just starting to pick this game up again after two years (yikes you feel so overwhelmed when you plop back into a 50 monk). It'd be cool to RP some time in the future.

Hey there everyone. I'm starting to come back into FF now after a two year break from all MMOs, and I was looking to see if there were any friendly link shells around or RPers who would be interested in getting together sometimes. I'm not necessarily looking for a Free Company right now. My problem is that I currently work full time in a pain management clinic, and am also taking online classes right now too. I'm afraid I won't be able to put a lot of time into a free company right now unless it's like, super relaxed. Here's my character now... still kinda a WIP. Hello, one and all! I've just started FFAR a couple days ago and I just have a few questions regarding the game itself. Having come from games like SWG, WoW and GW2, I'd just like to know what this game and it's company can do. 1.) I heard that rolling was taken out of this game recently. In some cases of RP, sometimes it's better to opt for a roll system for battles or during events in which you're DM'ing. Without the ability to /roll, do you guys use third-party sites such as rolz.org? 2.) Something I'm a little more worried about. PvP didn't come with this game I recall; it was later introduced via a patch and the Wolf's Den, and more patches with more options for PvP is coming soon. What's SE's history with overall PvP gameplay and class balancing?
