Don't worry, I'll still be here on the boards and when I get enough money I'll be making a character to Role-play with on Besaid from time to time. Just, as I feared, there are a few people who are ignorant about RP within my linkshell. While the majority don't mind it, a few are against rolling on the RP server, which was why I was hoping that the server we started on would be the server that won the vote, because then I could use their laziness against them and keep them on Cornelia even if the RPC was there. It's easier to say "Eh, so what if the RPC is on our server, do you really feel like switching servers after we're already set here?" than "Forget this server, why don't we roll on Besaid despite the RPC being there and I know a few of you don't really like role-playing even if it's for stupid reasons..." I'm more than positive there are enough Role-Players interested in doing End-game, and while I enjoy Role-Playing, my biggest lament is that I won't be able to hang out with some of you OOC as much, so I will at least be on the boards to do that.

Sorry if this was already posted somewhere but: http://www.eorzeapedia.com/2010/09/05/eorzeapedia-at-pax-2010/#more-5110 Read half way down.

As far as I know, there were only 2 people on the RPC that were directly effected by the server vote, and neither of them are calling for a re-vote despite not getting their choice. Really no reason to pick another server just because you like "X" name over "Y" name. A lot of us played on Sylph. It wasn't Shiva, or Bahamut, or Odin... It was Sylph, and we loved it. Server name really doesn't matter. And if it weren't for other factors, I would be there with you.

Happy Spirit Journey Formation Anniversary Zane!

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! I wish I turned one earlier this year. Would be nice to kinda turn back time at 24 rather than face my ever climbing age. >.> -
http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/98210-RPC-Votes-Besaid-As-Role-Play-Server Thread about the RPC on Blue Gartr. Be Forewarned: If you intend to post, I would recommend against it unless you are familiar with the forums. Not to sound elitist, but it's probably best left for people who normally post on Bluegartr to post since it is different from practically any other FF forum you will find out on the Web, and the mods will ban you for what seems like arbitrary reasons - especially if you have a low post count. Also, hope you don't mind the nod in the thread at you, Kes. I just felt I had to dispel the RPers don't do endgame myth.
-
That isn't Bluegartr, it's just another Endgame Linkshell. Expect to see those on every server, if not at open beta, definitely shortly after when everyone figures out who is going where. Bluegartr Linkshell is what people are the most interested in.

Yes, we are.

BG does not have a poll, as it's a private Linkshell and Sonomaa will disclose their destination at some point. I believe they are waiting for the dust to settle. The last word from Sonomaa was they would not be rolling on Jecht in Open Beta, but that has already been made irrelevant.

There was also that group we spent two hourglasses on every week to lock out because they thought they'd show up a half an hour before our gather and ignore the Dynamis calender. We even got full tiem extensions in Xarc with 6 mules. We locked them out until they compromised with us.
-
Bah, oh well. Looks like I'll have to probably make an alt to come hang out with you guys when I have some more money.

People have been able to ping 20 servers, so there are probably more. 10 servers at launch is kinda... poor to say the least. Unfortunately, most of those servers would come at launch, or during Open Beta which does us little good since the server selected will be finalized before any additional servers will ever be added.
-
I'm skimming through forums and posting any groups and where they're going whether I know them or not. I will update this post as I find info. If any one knows a group that isn't obvious, feel free to elaborate.
-
20 servers are still pinging, so it's likely they will add more later in OB or release, but not like that matters for us.

We've broken it like 10 times in the last hour.

Collector's Edition comes out on September 22nd. Normal comes out on September 30th. There is a good chance that someone within the RPC may know someone who may have a copy of the game on September 21st, and thus able to relay server names at least a few hours before launch. Otherwise, Japanese players will certainly be up and playing before stores open on the East Coast here, and probably even before the EU's can install their game.

Crystal scored a 121 on low with the benchmark, and she is currently playing in Beta. Though it's a little worse than running around with max settings on during Dynamis.

Yeah, also, within the different groups, (I.E. 1, 2, or 3 chocobos) the servers are not listed in either Alphabetical order, nor are they listed in the order they were created (Server number order). It makes sense since a lot of people don't care what server they go to and will just pick the first server on the list. That way more people will go to the lower populated servers rather than scrolling all the way to the bottom where the high population servers are.
-
I would just like to point out, from having finally seen Server selection in the beta, servers are not listed in a set, unchanging sequence. They are listed in order of population density. Golbez is currently the least populated, with Shadowlord being the most populated. I could go into why exactly I figured this out, but I need to go out and do something. If no one believes me, I will post my proof when I get home. It's fairly obvious though, if any one wants to go and create another character on Beta just to look at the Server selection, you'll understand. So, do not count on picking a specific server in numerical order on the list. We will have to vote or go by the alphabet.

I'm going to go ahead and post my three magic decks: Blue/White Flyers: Crystal Green/Red Flashback: Orin Red/Black Pressure Cooker: Shaelvorax Nothing flashy in any of those decks. Note that I don't buy singles online, so I build decks purely out of what I get in boosters which is why a lot of my decks are singleton-esque unless it contains Odyssey or Tempest cards, which I have a lot of. All of the decks are named after characters in my FD&D mythos, and are themed (loosely) on their personalities.
-
On my linkshell forums, we have a stickied thread with everyone's PSN and Gamertags with everyone's name organized and a list of games they can play. I'm gonna go ahead and make a new thread combining all of the PSN handles and Gamer tags with any games people can play from this post and the other thread, and then just edit my OP when ever someone posts more games or a new Handle.

In my opinion, Magic the Gathering is probably the best TCG you can get into. It's very flexible, has a HUGE library, and it has staying power at nearly 20 years and going. I play Magic every week, and would probably compete in the pro tour qualifiers and national qualifiers if I had a decent amount of standard cards. Unfortunately, I have mostly older cards so... I just stick to the kitchen table, and FNM drafting. For the record, my favorite sets are Odyssey and Tempest. None of the new stuff could even come close to how awesome they were. If any of you that play Magic are in the Central Jersey area and are looking for a group, let me know. I try to hold tournaments with different themes and I give away cards as prizes to people that win. I put together a set of cards based on the characters in my D&D campaign once, but I wasn't satisfied with the balance issues, so I never revisited it or tried to improve it.

Do you still live in NYC? Seraphine and I were planning to go up sometime either this year or next year and I'd like to know where all the good food is. Are those wings sweet? Because that's the only thing that's stopping me from trying them. I hate it when shops advertise their stuff as hot - and it is - but the sweet taste is just so disgusting I can't even eat them. Cluck-U is my prime example of a culprit that makes sweet wings. Also, I don't drink the really hot stuff straight. There's a story about this time I went over a friend's house and he had a hot sauce called "The Hottest F&%*in Sauce" he dared me to try it so I put a bunch on my Taco, took a bite and said "Yeah, that is some pretty hot sauce." So as I continue eating the taco, one of my friends accidentally got a drop on his skin. He then ran to the bathroom yelling about how it burned and he couldn't wash it off. He also got it in his eye and yeah... every one was watching me eat that taco while my friend was screaming in pain. I do however drink wingsauce of varying degrees of temperature within reason straight. It is a tradition when I get wings I ask for extra sauce, then drink every bit of sauce left. That stuff is just too good to pass up.
