Our latest news, by H'aku: Housing After a great event by Katherine, the house has undergone a total renovation. Everything has been cleaned up and repaired; all the furniture have been moved in with a gracious hand from the Company itself. Give yourself a pat on the back. The mansion décor is now IC. Events A new series of events are going to start up. Waiting on the Wings is going to be revolving around the acquisition of external assets to the Company, including Procurement of the Workshop and Airship. These events are also going to be working as a way to experiment with the event formula.Read more about it Here. As an extension of this, we will be looking for people that would be willing to volunteer as group leaders in the future. We will be asking for these volunteers before we group up at future events to ensure that the people willing to help are present at the time. Don't be shy with this- an officer can always offer assistance if you're unsure of what to do or how to do it. As a last note: I (H’aku) have been looking at ways to shake up the typical combat event, and will need a group of people to help experiment on a testbed for objective-based battle groups. And Aeolian (Khyran) is continually developing on the weekly events to improve and make it a more enjoyable experience for everyone participating. Moogle Ball! Our recruitment is back open again at low priority. This means we will be even more selective than usual with the applications that we accept. A referral from one of our current members will go a long way!

We’ve experienced a great amount of growth lately and, because of it, we’re near our linkshell population cap! In order to maintain the same level of activity, we will be making some tweaks. From this point forward, we will no longer be allowing members to apply for the linkshells only. If someone leaves the free company, they must also leave the linkshells. New members must join both the free company and linkshells. We would much prefer to keep linkshell only membership open, but with the 128 person limit in linkshells, it just isn’t possible with our current growth and need to future-proof with the upcoming (hopeful) house. Members that previously applied to the linkshells only and have remained linkshell only will not be kicked if they remain active. Alt characters will still be permitted, but we will now require them to be ICly involved in AV-RP if they are to be invited to the linkshell. Alts that are already in the linkshell, but aren’t involved IC will be grandfathered in. In addition, we will be implementing inactivity kicks. If we do not hear from you via discord or enjin and you fall inactive for 90 days without a word, your character will be removed from the linkshells. If we run into more space issues, this may be moved to 60 days at some point. If you know you’ll be leaving the game for a time, just give us the heads up. The officers will be keeping a list of characters removed this way if they’re not FC members and inactive FC members will remain in the FC, so if you come back after a hiatus and find yourself out of the free company and linkshells and would like back in- please get in touch! Thank you to everyone who attended our Masked Date Auction as both bidders and auctionees! A special thank you to the Drunken Moogle for letting us use their house, Crescent Productions for plugging us on tumblr and helping us plan, the Open RP LS and the Netlink of Eorzean Taverns LS for their advertisements. Also to Jikam for advertising in party finder and shout for weeks on end! Without everyone’s help, this wouldn’t have been possible and certainly wouldn’t have gotten as good of a turnout as it did!

The day after on Saturday the 2nd we will be holding our first Bad Movie Night, also at 8 EST! It will be an OOC event for both FC and LS members where voice chat is highly encouraged. Moogle Ball has been announced and we will be having a group uniform picture OOC and general OOC group picture before the personal plot on April 9th around 7 EST. In addition, our inductions have been redone to be more ceremonial and interactive and to encourage branch selection. We have reworked the website to make it prettier, however our custom banner (courtesy of Khyran!) is known to cause some issues in chrome because of a browser error. If you see a play icon over the image you can fix it by following these steps: Navigate to: chrome://settings/content Scroll down to “Plug-ins” Select "Run all plug-in content" We are also working on ideas for a date auction type event for some time in April to further our housing efforts and would appreciate your help with ideas, planning, and volunteering as a participant. So far, we have raised around 26 million gil in the company chest and about 500k of that is gil from all of your gaming efforts! Thank you for your hard work and continued support!
