  1. I blacklist Gil sellers sometimes, but I rarely hear back from the same one anyway so why bother? Aside from that I generally just don't care to regardless of how people are acting. Generally speaking it's just that if a behavior irritates me I only care so long as it continues, I would hate to miss out on interacting with a cool person if I prematurely blacklisted them for just having an off day.
  2. I've had a lot of fun playing antagonistic characters that are abrasive, aggressive, and downright cruel. Downside to this character type being that I have to be particularly careful not to cause any OOC bleed from their in-game behavior. I am not always successful. While I certainly would want to run that type of character as an alt, I'm a big fan of open world RP. And in order to prevent potential OOC issues I typically prefer those types to be played among people that know the score ahead of time. That limitation tends to see them drop out of my rotation faster in favor of folks that can stroll up to you in a bar and strike up a conversation.
  3. Well.. where did you think elemental crystals were coming from?
  4. I generally have little interest in ERP, preferring the fade to black approach rather than anything else. But I do know plenty of friends from RPing in previous games that were open to actually playing out that part of their characters' relationships as well, and they were, quite frankly, some of the best writers with the strongest character concepts that I ran into. As has been said, for some people its just a natural evolution of their character and they were no more inclined to shy away from that than they would be from intense drama or antagonistic friction with other characters ICly if it made sense for their concept. If its all someone does.. lets be honest, I still don't care. Its not for me, I would get bored pretty quickly, but I'll treat them as any other living denizen of the world if they make an effort to put themselves out there as such. Hell, even if they become overly flirtatious with my own characters I'm still cool with it so long as they're willing to deal with the IC reactions. Just keep it IC, that's my battle cry.
  5. I actually just started a couple weeks ago, still on my first month. I'll keep my eye out for ya in game!
  6. Sharps! Fancy seeing you here! (Its Croc)
  7. I would try to get a whole horde of Coeurl kittens to fulfill my cat's role while I'm stuck in there.
  8. I've been thinking about how to get into something structured like this, I have a character I would be glad to throw in if it fits. I don't know what locales you would be wanting to do the RP in - I don't have any high level characters yet since I just started up last week. If that doesn't prevent me from accessing any sites you would want things to happen in then I'd be otherwise happy to jump in if there's space.
  9. This. I would have to wonder what scenario you had offered up and if you had written out how you wanted it to run. Could there have been something in there that they had taken to be Mary Sue-ish? I still do not quite understand what a combat RPer would be having never seen the tag through the years, I really didn't understand the differentiation in the original explanation as talkers vs fighters. I know that some people back on City of Heroes had the requirement that their character be beaten in pvp for them to be beaten by a character in an IC fight, which Igenerally disliked as it tiered people in terms of in-game skill rather than character concept and execution. Is that what a combat RPer is? I imagine its not what you mean given that would be greeted more with a 'no' rather than Mary Sue accusations.
  10. I don't think I'll ever stop adding this to every mix I setup on DJ or anything. hLcBECiISzE And then following it up with: _kiqO-F2aS0
  11. Not to be a pain, but could this be deleted or swapped over to the Balmung forum? Transferred servers on a friend's advice. Whichever is easiest, I can just repost if deleting is quickest.
  12. Aaaand there's another one~ Welcome to RPC and the world of Final Fantasy! And as mentioned in a recent intro thread, there's more than a few old hero veterans around (including myself)! Good luck getting into Gilgamesh if you haven't yet, though. It's one of the few servers that tends to be capped because of its activity level, but it does become available in the mornings when traffic is down. Yeah, it took me getting up early Sunday to get in there. I snuck onto Balmung as well since a few friends played there previously, so we'll see how it goes. Now I just need to hunt down the hotspots!
  13. I. Basic Info Characters:Braewing Oakes Primary character:Braewing Oakes Linkshells:N/A Primary RP linkshell:N/A II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I would prefer Medium-Heavy since I do like doing content in the game without necessarily needing an IC reason somewhat regularly. But good RP is what keeps me invested in the game so I'm more than happy doing that as much as possible. Views on RP combat and injuries: Pretty open to it, though anything permanent I would want to ok ahead of time. Generally speaking so long as I think something is interesting I'll likely be down for it. Views on IC romance: Its incidental to what I do, but if something develops naturally then I'm cool with it. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): The interpersonal relationships, both friendly and antagonistic, are what keep me coming back. There's nothing better to me than getting characters interacting together so naturally that I want to log on constantly to see where it goes next. Views on lore: I'm not an expert on it, so naturally I won't play characters that start out particularly worldly. Always happy to learn about it as I am a lore nerd in general, and if it occurs in-character then I'm all the happier to pick it up. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I don't know the general etiquette for linkshells, but I'm fine with whatever the rules are for whichever ones I may eventually end up in. Having an OOC linkshell would be grand just to keep in contact with people, but IC group specific ones are good to keep things interesting while I may be running in circles waiting for things to happen. Say, Party, and anything of that sort I'm IC within quotation marks, unless I have the charming notation from CoH of (( )) around whatever I'm OOCing. Which would probably get tossed elsewhere if there is an OOC specific channel. III. Other Info Country: USA Timezone: EST (GMT -5) Contact info: Feel free to PM in game, I'll keep up to date with other characters I may roll up. I check here regularly so that's another easy way. Howdy

Hey there, newcomer to the game and scratching at the gates of Gilgamesh to create my first character. I'm a long displaced City of Heroes player looking for a new RP home (@Vi from Virtue for anyone else that made their way over) and hoping that this will be the place for it. I'm going to be forum surfing quite a bit to get a good feel for the lore and community, while looking for newbie friendly RP to cut my teeth on in game. Hope to meet you in game!
