Welcome to Balmung and MMO RP! People would be more than willing to accept a newbie character. I would advise you to be persistent as your character establishes contacts/relationships. Getting started can sometimes be a challenge, especially if you're used to easier 1-on-1 formats. You can work on a wiki if you already have a character idea on mind. Personally, I tend to start with a general concept and develop my character as I play them, but that's definitely a personal preference. I didn't have a wiki page until at least a year after starting to RP here. If you have any questions or need some starting contacts, feel free to add me or poke me in game, as Kinono Kino!

I know it's not the ideal thing but if you're looking for enemies, Kinono is unflinching in her hatred of voidkin and cultists. Obviously not something I'll push on people without warning though!

If you give people a section in your wiki to! That's what I'm encouraging anyway I had a section for years until just a couple days ago. I removed it bevause it never saw activity and the big blank section made me self conscious. I was starting to think it was some vestigial organ part of wiki formatting that no one actually used.

It was a dev comment a while back ago, if I remember correctly. I'm having trouble finding the exact post, but I do remember specifically when it first came up. It's been hinted at a few times in-game, but we haven't been shown anything absolutely blatant. The Wanderer's Palace (hard) quest alludes to it, thought it could be argued they were referring to homosexuality (which, at the very least, is common enough in Limsa that one NPC speaks of it openly). And of course, the case of Hilda, which again, is more classist than racist, I'd say.

I'm not sure about the sounds of that first one... Everyone knows Lalafell taste best marinated. Meddling, though, is something I can always get behind! Both your characters seem like they'd be a lot of fun to RP with, and I'd absolutely love to soon! I'll keep an eye out for you in-game, as that's where it's typically easier for me to RP! Hey all! I've been around/RPing since launch but, as it turns out, I'm super bad at meeting new people, so I'm putting this out there just in case there's any one looking for a new friend/enemy/miscellaneous drama partner. I'm open to either in-game RP, or play-by-posts on here or on Skype if you want something more relaxed. My timezone is PST and I'm kind of a night-owl at that, so I am typically most active later at night. Kinono is a generally cheerful and motherly Dunesfolk who loves bad jokes and hates cultists. She considers herself a retired adventurer, and as such has a fairly wide (if utilitarian) amount of knowledge on topics magical and martial. For the record, a lot of people I know RP on PS4. All you need is a cheap USB keyboard, which, last I checked, can be had ~$10, maybe even less! You can even use a Bluetooth keyboard for a bit more, if you felt like sitting back on your couch to do it.

When you get upset over a song referencing real-life locations because now it can't be your character's theme song.

While it doesn't exactly match any of your looking-for's, part of Kino's backstory is that she stowed away on a pirate ship shortly after the Calamity to get from Thanalan to Linda Lominsa, but was discovered. If for any reason you felt like having our characters retroactively acquainted, that might be fun.
