So, I've recently had the idea for a small band of xaela mercenaries. A place for xaela, far from home, to find shelter, coin, and work, to help them adjust to the culture shock of leaving the Steppes. It wouldnt be a full blown fc, I dont have the time to dedicate to something quite that involved... but it would be a simple RP linkshell run out of my xaela's apartment. We'd host the occasional event, ranging from mercenary work to traditional ceremonies to give these souls a taste of home. If anyone would be interested in such a thing, let me know. Before investing a whole lot of time in this, i'd like to be sure the people are there.

So, an RP partner and I have been searching for individuals to help us expand our characters and their stories, and as such, I've decided to push them out of the nest and see what happens! We have two duo's who we would like to make connections for. [align=center]The Shaman and his Apprentice[/align] [align=center] [/align] Styrmoeya Hymronthsyn is a Seawolf, through and through. Born on the isles in the Northern Empty, he is what Eorzeans would call a conjurer. He has spent the better part of his young life learning to communicate with the elementals, protecting and guiding his people from the unseen on their long voyages as his father did before him, and his father before that. After some great tragedy has landed him stranded upon the Eorzean mainland, he has since wandered the lands seeking to further his connection with the elemental spirits. In his travels, he met a young, energetic miqo'te woman by the name of A'lyana Nulah. A'lyana was a huntress from the Antelope tribe, who left her home in Paglethan to study conjury. Bearing witness to his magics, she demanded that the Roegadyn teach her his peoples version of the art, and after much deliberation (And pestering from her) he agreed... keeping her out of trouble ever since has kept the Seawolf busy. [align=center]The Oroniri Wolf and the Dotharli Doe[/align] [align=center] [/align] Chonjin of the Oronir, and Sora of the Dotharl. An unlikely pair of tribal xaela, who found themselves bound in the Oroniri belief that every child of the sun god Azim will find for himself his soulmate amongst the children of Nhaama. In a fit of wanderlust, the pair has set out from the steppes to see the world and the mysteries that lie within it. A warrior of the Oronir, Chonjin has been struggling with his Inner Beast, or as the xaela are want to call it the Will of Keresh, and has heard rumors of individuals within the land of Eorzea who have mastered the powerful force. One of the objectives of their travels is to find such a man and convince him to help. A warrior, as all Dotharl are, Sora is more than capable of handling her self in a fight. However, outside of the familiar world of the Steppe, she is incredibly naive and struggles to interact with people from other cultures. However, she is eager to see the world and will follow Chonjin anywhere, especially if it means helping him with is affliction. [align=center]What we're looking for![/align] [align=center] For Styrmoeya and A'lyana, we're looking for anything and everything. Friends, enemies, acquaintances, drinking buddies, and even a Free Company that would take in a pair of misfits. For CHonjin and Sora, we're looking for all sorts of connections, the big ones being someone to help Chonjin with his inner Beast, but we desire adventuring companions, friends, enemies, and just anyone to help write and share a story with. While he's a touch too old to pass off a false relationship with the girl, my character Aulsoix is from a family that owns a number of mines, and a partnership with a house of metal workers would be mutualy beneficial.

He's met a lovely woman, hung up his axe, and is doing his damndest to settle down, to provide for his bride-to-be and their future children without putting his life on the line. With the coin he's saved up over the years, he has turned a small hole in the wall into Limsa Lominsa's newest and finest tavern, "The Beast and Barrel." Its shelves are stocked with the finest booze that can be bought, imported, smuggled, or brewed into the maritime state, and features a menu inspired by the traditional Roegadyn fare of his forefathers from the Northern Empty. One of my mains is an archaeologist, specializing in the study of the war of magi. So he has a hefty collection of artifacts hes accumulated over the years. What sirt of ideas did you have?

So I'm always on the look out for people that want to start up stories! I have a few characters that might mesh well with yours, (Or not at all, in one instance, but if you need enemies thats not a bad thing.) Fyrilsunn Fiandoensyn: Ex-maelstrom adventurer, currently in the process of retiring, getting hitched, and opening a tavern all his own. He's big, scary, and basically a giant teddybear. I'm not looking to get him involved in any major action based plots at the moment, but he's always available if you need a friendly word of advice, or the like. (And if times are rough, he can always bring the axe out from under the bed for a friend in need.) Aulsoix Claimane: Aulsoix is a formal, scholarly elezen from Ishgard. Being from lesser nobility, he is well mannered, and well educated, with a particular focus on thaumaturgy and archaeology. He spends most of his time researching the War of Magi, but if you need a darker, more antagonistic character, he is more than capable of providing. Buyantu Qestir: A xaelan refugee, Buyantu is currently just an adventurer trying to get by. But its not easy for the poor Qestir. Being of a tribe that believes all words are lies, and action is the only reliable form of communication, he struggles to make friends, and tends to stick to himself. But if someone where to try to get to know the silent man, they'd find a stalwart, if quiet, friend . Illeaux Dravant: Illeaux lived a troubled life. Orphaned at a young age, he's done pretty much whatever was necissary to survive. After his parents where killed, he fled the shroud to Ul'dah, where he wound up running in a gang of refugee children. Now, a grown man, he's gone legit, sort of. He fights in the arena, under the title "The Asp of Gelmora." Something chosen more to draw the crowds, than for his own hubris. In reality, the man has his own reasons for fighting beyond coin and glory, and intends to leave the pointless fights behind as soon as he can.
