(: The internet's full of introverts and that doesn't typically change with RP. We're all shy bugs that want to be bugged, usually. I also failed to notice you're on Mateus. ;; I'd hope RP there is just as consistent as it is on Balmung anymore, and I wish you luck in wandering about! If you're not opposed to discord RP, I'd like to poke you!

The quiet types are definitely a lot of work. I have a couple myself! ..I find myself constantly apologizing during RP or after since they're so reactionary. There's all sorts of hooks you can do! One of my characters has a pet puppy that gets into all sorts of trouble around strangers and helps her get out of her reserved shell. I totally dig RPing out in the world-- a daunting task when it comes to finding any, or braving setting something up with someone else interested! It may take arranging RP consistently for now, and there's nothing wrong with that! It sounds like a super cool concept and it's really too bad you're struggling to find some solid RP! And holy crap, reading the tribe's lore? That is some mega attention to detail and care for development! I love it! I'm on the boat of rooting for you to stick with your guns and do what makes you happy for Arashin! You'll be happier for it, I promise. Don't ever compromise your story ideas for the sake of falling in a groove with others. You'll find others that are interested by reaching out like this-- like me! I'd so be down for throwing a character at you to learn about Arashin via RP! c:

..About time I try dusting off this thread again! Guh! No updates since July, shame on me! D: I've been so busy! Kaiverta, I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, and I do it every day still for a living! It keeps me growing and honing in on the skills and I encourage others who love to draw to do the same! Here's a little bit of what I've been up to since July! My FFXIV sees a lot more doodle action for RPs, character meme/asks, and whatnot! A friend and I were rockin' similar glamours for a time in the late summer, so I wanted to draw some girly time! A birthday present for Morvelaira on Lamia! I'm doing Character Reference sheets now! This one for Koroe Qestir was REAL cool!! I made some single-sided gold-acrylic charms~ And, man, guys, I adore these dresses on mogstation. I'd love to draw some art for them in trade. ;A; <3 <3 I'd be willing to do something of a $20 value for each, or $40 for both! Hi Friends! I want to get back into RPing again! For my downtime when I love writing stories with others, I’ve learned I can’t manage as many alts for rp as I dink around with on the pve-end of things. As much as I want to put love and depth into every tale I write with folks, I just can’t across 4-5 characters! Life has gotten quite busy for me in a great way! Though for what characters I have, I don’t mind continuing what I have established for alts! <3 I draw a lot– as it’s my job and passion in life! I draw folks’ characters, stories, and I hit a con-circuit every year with my boyfriend. <3 I’m even working on an artbook! Wow! Sewing plushies and collecting pocket-watches are a couple of other hobbies of mine. I also love sharing, writing and collaborating on stories. Roleplay has been a wonderful avenue for that! [align=center]MEET NENIA REIHNOLH [/align] My Main, my darling, flustering White Mage that does her best to function beyond doing what actually she does best in being your token-medic! A catlady working out some existential issues after living under the glamour of a hyur up until the Warrior of Light and Ishgard took the fight to Nidhogg’s Horde (Circa: Patch 3.1). Mid-Twenties. Nenia was a once powerful Hearer that’s been stripped of her magical prowess by literal soul-shattering circumstances. She’s a gentle thing and empathetic sweetheart that takes comfort in healing and taking care of others above all. She may have a weakness for men in armor– often fantasizing what heroic deeds they may have done above any other attraction. Hooks: Give me abrasive grumps to melt their cold hearts with her kindness.She can be JUST as stubborn. Fellow Conjurers/Gridanians that may be disappointed in her, or, quite possibly admire her for attempting a break on tradition. Your character’s aether-sensitive? What the hell are they looking at when they see Nenia’s aether makeup? Magic mixers - Nothing triggers her more, but she’s doing her best to find optimism in them! Your character is injured! She’ll make sure they’re okay! Your Character's an Ishgardian Knight or Dragoon. Your Character's armored, period. Her puppy won’t stop sniffing your character. They must have a toy? or treats?? --- I may pick up lizards from time to time, if we've established something, lets continue with them!

This all has been really interesting to read. I'm kind of a mix-- lady playing both males and females. I lean more towards writing as men. Picking up male characters was a result of my girl characters constantly getting interest-checks for romantic RP or pickup dates. They were seen more as tools for shippy plots than as characters that have far more to them than the romantic aspect of a story. I shelved them for a long time, until creative wells dried up as far as playing dudes went. Pointed out in a post above, I did see a lot of aggression from other male characters, for what girls I was rping with on my dude. Maybe it's a guy thing?? idk. I took it with a grain of salt that my lady friends were suffering from the same I did-- people only there for the hookup rp and my guy's in the way. I'd get whispers questioning if characters were dating, or what my character's relationship was to the other, or even go as far as the dangerous ooc/ic bleed. It was tiresome, and in time turned my male characters into that protective role for romancestuff when characters did hookup-- than explore any other aspect of stories and adventure. I love me some fluffs as much as the next guy, but I explore all sorts of characters for their flaws, stories and adventure to share with others! ;u;

Oh gosh, ... has it really been two months since I posted here? ;; Well, here's looking to change that, and be less of a lurker on the forums in general! I was going through a lot, and getting over it, little by little! I want to hit the RP scene and get into drawing more! Commissions are closed still, for the time being, but that will change here, veryvery soon! I drew up my dragoon lady, Eshima as another sample for simple-shading!

Some practice with cel-shading again! I plan on offering it up when I revamp commission information in June! I have my first big convention to sell at this weekend and I'm super excited! (also nervous and preparing like a madman aaah) [align=center][/align] [align=center][/align] [align=center][/align] Commissions are closed for now! However, I'm still up for those couple of mogstation trades, and to get some practice in on this cel-shading business. I'm offering up a cel-shade portrait trade for Y'shtola's Modish Attire too as an option other than the waist-up colored sketch! Trades will close on June 1st!

I love love love LOVE doing RP in dungeons!! There are so many that have such a cool atmosphere and story to play around with for your own RP. However, it is a bit tricky! That timer be damned, mostly! >< For the most part, I feel like dungeon rps really give what's meant to be for RPing in an MMO. It's realtime, you have your visuals in front of you, so it would just be a matter of throwing in dialogue and a quick emote flourish for whatever your character may be going through realtime without really writing it out as a story! All you'd have to worry about is keeping a record of the rp via writing a summary or character journal, if at all! I like doing those things to keep my characters' consistencies! However, removing ilevel requirements have made that timer a little less of a pain for older dungeons at least-- if you're wanting to write out more in exploring! A quick fiveminute sweep of a dungeon and you have 85 minutes to play with the setting how -you- want to! (I'm so excited for this to happen to Heavensward dungeons soooon ;___; ) If you want to keep mobs however, I kinda just .. play off that the mobs were a lot harder to deal with than they actually were, what, with the one-shot kills for likely 260+ ilevel gear. I typically write out a skeleton for what I want to see happen in the dungeon, having characters roll at the beginning of each boss to see who's going to get hit first before hopping into battle-- or whatever! People love characters getting attacked a little before overcoming the hardships! It makes the victory that much more rewarding in conflicts! It's so fun!
