  1. I think it's pretty funny that I can scroll through the older posts in this thread and (cringe) see how much I've progress with my art. I've been on this forum forever! This is still a WIP, but my progress has been halted due to a recent move. Jacq with her impossible cheekbones and lopsided smile!
  2. Oho, I like your style a lot. Keep up the great work!
  3. I've been slowly (and I mean fucking slowly) working my way through Leviathan's Wake by James S.A. Corey, and it's been one of my favorite books in a long time. I'd say it's nior detective story meets political space drama. The writer has a real flair for writing out things believably even down to stupid things that you honestly wouldn't think twice about. For example, there's this bit about how Belters (those being the people who work/live on an asteroid belt) tend to have their own physical idioms, due to the need to be able to communicate while wearing space suits. It's simple, but I'm glad for the attention to detail. ...Also, apparently it's a TV show now? Damn, I am out of the loop.
  4. Jacq got matches and... Britain? Uh... hm. The matches would at least make sense with who she hangs around with. Not sure what to make of the other one, though.
  5. Hi. I still do art sometimes! My Roe Beatric has always been a bit of a deep sea witch, but has since over the years gotten more and more odd, and therefor much more entertaining to draw.
  6. Hi there! I'm just kind of passively watching this thread, but something came up that got me kind of curious: Why make a post about something if you're only expecting to find an echo chamber/have people give you a gold star (via rep points) for having like minded opinions? I thought the point in a lot of these discussions were to hear different view points? That this was the main draw for communicating with people?
  7. It's been ages since I worked with Isaac and Beatric. They're honestly some of my favorite characters to play with. But, given the direction of the game, they just sort of... lost their place. Honestly, they're better suited in a sandbox where building things is more of an option. In the mean time, they're still alive in Skype RP. So, anyway, I figured I might as well do a update to their appearances. It's been AGES since I've drawn them properly. ...And I'd be lying if I said the old images didn't make me gag a little when I look at them. I feel like I've come pretty far. To be fair, it has been a couple of years since the original concepts. On a more personal note, I'm really trying to push myself to get back into drawing a lot more regularly. I let too much stuff get in my way, and it really fucks with my confidence levels. I honestly miss using this place to connect with other artists and encourage each other. I had a real good experience when I first started posting art frequently. Hopefully I can garnish something like that again. ...Right. So. Starting off, we have an updated Isaac. Isaac The Tower. Isaac The Heartless. Isaac... whatever title Beatric decides to make up for him next. Now with righteous facial hair!
  8. Trying to avoid a description with these two, as the whole point of this exercise is to express the characters without any lyrics. So, uh... HERE WE GOOO. Jacq: [video=youtube] Beatric: [video=youtube]

Hey, dude! Good to hear from you again. Are you around in game again? We'll have to catch up at some point.
  10. Quietly reading this thread and I'm not sure what you mean by this. Could I get some clarification? Are you referring to the OP as someone who wants to start trouble, or...? I'm not quite sure what you're trying to convey here.
  11. Rude. Welcome back, person!
  12. Yes! I want a Japanese war club, for knocking Lalafells out of the park. This is... everything I never knew I wanted. Beautiful. Amazing. Worst game if it never gets implemented.
  13. I'll admit, when I was a wee tot I went to ACEN and cosplayed for a good solid 5 years, I think. I had a great cosplay partner at the time that would constantly try to push my boundaries because we had a bit of a competitive relationship. She'd pull out some crazy, so of course, I had to do something even better. My favorite and last costume was a heavily styled Amano Freya Crescent. The amount of tiny details I ended up working onto it was crazy. I look at pictures of it now and wonder how I managed it. AND I actually sculpted the helmet out of chicken, hot glue and some kind of velvet fabric. My fingers were sore for daaaays. I'd probably like to get back into it at some point. Costume making is really a lot of, and I only just started working on props at the end of my cosplay stay. I have big dreams of some day doing a full on Sister of Battle.
  14. Hella cute! I also love how thin and wispy your lines are. Keep up the great work!
