Starting off the Disciples of hand and land series with Tim'as blacksmith pic! Figured I'd warm up with him.

What I imagine will probably happen is that since Phase 4 is sort of an 'early rolling' prior to the game's release, and all legacy accounts as well as many new player accounts will be activated during that time, we'll take a look and see how Balmung is doing in terms of server population. If at that stage its looking like fitting people on one server, other options would be explored. That would be my guess as to how it would be handled at least. Okay! I just read Kylin's post too and if y'all are so confident about it then I won't worry. I'm just not as familiar to the inner workings of MMO games so I'm not always 100% sure on these things.

That's good to know! But I was speaking more on a "just in case" level. I'm just the kind of person who loves to have a backup plan, lol. So that I dont suddenly find myself unable to join the server I want to without any clue where to go instead, you know? Nothing wrong with making plans.

I definitely want to be in the same server as the rest of the RPC community, but I just had a thought. Isn't it possible for servers to become full so that you can't join them? I would think the Legacy servers would be much closer to being 'full' than the new servers... Should we all have a backup server in mind, just in case when we try to join, we're told it's full and we can't? I know this isn't a problem for Legacy members who are already part of Balmung, but it might be a problem if you're creating extra new characters. Anyway, just a thought!

I completely understand both sides of this particular argument. As I am not a legacy member, I'm worried about all the same things. About joining a community that's already so established, or joining a fresh new one where everyone's character is as new as mine. It's kind of a matter of trust for me. Trusting y'all to help me jump into the Balmung community without feeling like I'm completely adrift. Because I really -do- want to be in the same server as you guys. I don't know you all super well yet, but I can tell you're a very helpful and nice bunch. I feel like we'll get along well while playing.

YAY! At least there's one Lala! *pat your little head* It's not that I don't like Miqo'te, I love them! My character is one!! It's just fun to mix things up too lol. Anyway, with that, the slots are filled!

Ok! That just leaves Fisher, Miner and Leatherworker! Anyone? I can always practice drawing Lala and Roegadyn another time if there's no one interested.

Thanks you guys, I feel like I have a much better grasp on it. I didn't realize that Free Companies were brand new to A Realm Reborn, I thought they were from 1.0. BUT this does explain why I couldn't find an overabundance of info on it. Thanks! That being said ... Does anyone have plans to create a Free Company here on the forum? I'd love to join up with one, it sounds like a GREAT way to get to know you guys and for my character to get to know your characters.

Okay. Linkshells I already know about since I did play Final Fantasi XI MANY moons ago. So linkshells = social networking, Free Company = guild Does anyone know what all these benefits and things are for being in a Free Company, helping new members, that sort of thing? Like are there going to be missions/quests for free companies to perform together? Because that would be pretty awesome.

Hey guys! I've been reading and studying a lot about the game before 2.0 is released (I haven't played 1.0 so my knowledge is limited to what I can study online). But one subject that I haven't been able to really understand is Free Companies. I feel like it's a really simple subject and I'm just somehow now grasping it completely, but would y'all be willing to tell me exactly what Free Companies are? I know about linkshells, but Free Companies are something different than that, right? What is a Free Company and what are the benefits to being in one? Can you be in more than one? Is there a Free Company that the members of this site are in? Or a bunch of them..? Sorry! I probably sound like a total idiot but I appreciate your help!

I guess what I shall do is give non-miqo'te characters a chance to fill in the spots until the end of today, then I'll fill up the empty spots with all the miqo'te! Kitties everywhere!! Sound fair?

I wouldn't have known how to draw Kerr anyway. You dont have any info on his appearance on his wiki or in the character reference thread!

I'll put Mtoto there too. Then at least it's two male two female Miqo'te. But hopefully the rest of the slots can be filled with different races! I mean, if no one else is interested then I'll go ahead and make it a Miqo'te-fest, but hopefully there will be variety?
