  1. This sounds like a really interesting idea, but since you guys all have gil from your previous gameplay, and I will just be starting, poor as heck, with A realm reborn... I would never win an auction lol. But I wouldnt mind watching it all.
  2. I'll try to draw them too! I'm attempting to, at the very least, draw the characters that belong to the people who have been kind enough to comment and encourage. Slowly getting to know everyone's characters!
  3. oooh very nice!! Also I love the water color/sumi-e technique you used!
  4. His M.O. is hanging out with ladies looking manly. Then running away with another guy.
  5. Tim'a and Rhio! This... wasn't what I originally planned to draw but it's so FREAKING HOT augh!! I'm just sitting here in front of a fan sweating and hating the sun (I don't have AC). So anyway, that lead to this.
  6. Loving these! And very pleased with the blacksmith look, since Tim'a will be wearing it plenty. Might have to draw some of these outfits..
  7. Thanks everyone!! I'll keep trying to draw whenever I snag some spare time and energy. @Ronberku Definitely practice your art, don't be lazy!!! And share it with us to
  8. Well it depends on if people want to watch a serious movie... or action.. or comedy, right?! Galaxy Quest is always good for laughs.. I'm a big fan of the movie Snatch too...?
  9. hey! I managed to convince someone to translate all the emotes for me, in case you guys are interested...! すごくがっかりする - super disappointed/dejected 不満を表す - express dissatisfaction よろめく- to stagger 問い詰める - to press a question/ cross-examine ポーズをとる - lit. "to take a pose" so prob "strike a pose" 考える - to consider/think 座る - to sit 引用 - quotation/reference すねる - to pout/sulk 呆れる - to be amazed -> like rendered speechless or those times when you're like "well damn!" 肩をすくめる - to shrug おどろく - surprised 土下座 - dogeza like.. um, have you seen in anime when people bow on the floor? i guess like when you prostrate yourself in front of a king or sth. haha sorry, translating is kind of hard 手まねきする - to beckon 自分を見る - to look at oneself (i see myself) 居眠りする - to nod/doze off つつく- to poke/prod 見わたす - to survey (a scene) アピール - lit. english "appeal" 表情:素顔 - frankness/face with no makeup 表情:笑顔 - smiling 表情:不敵 - daring, bold 表情:泣き顔 - crying 表情:呆然 - dumbfounded 表情:不機嫌 - pout/displeasure/sullen 表情:心配 - worried 表情:微笑 - smile 表情:自信 - confident 表情:瞑目 - closing eyes 表情:恐怖 - panic/horror/fear 表情:激痛 - sharp pain 表情:感知 - perception/sensing/noticing (lit. "feel" "know")
  10. Awww man, that's beautiful! It's times like this I wish I could read japanese and figure out what all those emotes say..
  11. Well that's mildly frightening. I know how angry gamers can get whenever they have to deal with a "noob". As hard as I try to understand everything, it's a little worrisome that I might be be joining an entire world of players who will consider me an idiot lol.
  12. I wonder if that means, as a new player, I can't join the world you guys are all in? Or if the Legacy after the name is simply to signify that it's not a brand new world.
  13. Another sketch, this time with Alothia! She is prepared to avoid the rain, T'ima not so much.
  14. oh dear your leering gaze isn't creepy at all! ... *eye suspiciously*
  15. T'ima a particularly scruffy black wolf
  16. aww so pretty! Your lines are SO incredibly smooth and clean.
  17. T'ima and P'axi (mosskats character). One of the few things that can get Tima smirking instead of glowering is ruffling the feathers of someone who is uptight/serious/snobby. (I also learned a little late that Keepers have a different color at the end of their tail, augh! well... oh well. I guess little discrepancies are bound to happen until I'm able to finally make him in the character creator)
  18. I agree with Cayson. I think it makes much more sense, in the heat of a battle, to simply describe alternating weaponry than your entire wardrobe. To fight with an axe and then throw it down to fight with your bare fists, or pick up the staff you need for conjuring or something. I think it's one of those mechanics of the game you might have to overlook sometimes while RPing in writing for the sake of actually making sense...
  19. Thanks guys!! When ARR is finally released and I hopefully get to interact with all y'all in game, I'll be sure to add even more pages..! (Until then, obviously I can't include your characters in the journal, since nothing has happened between them yet!)
  20. omg so 80s...!! That's hilarious. Love the giant brick cellphone.
  21. Welcome!! Everyone here is incredibly nice and helpful, I hope you'll feel at home!
  22. (After I saw you guys do this I wanted to do one too! The story of Tim'a and how he avoided any involvement in the events of version 1.0) Hello. Hm... I'm Tim'a Fei. And this is a drawing diary of my life. (Why am I doing this exactly....?) I'm currently 28, and a Miqo'te (which I shouldn't have to tell you, just look at me) of the Keeper of the Moon clan. My family is small and private. Growing up, we always kept to ourselves in the depths of the Twelveswood. I have one sibling, a younger brother named Vi'to. He's a runt. For the early part of my life, nothing interesting happened, I guess. I barely ever left the Wood and at first I didn't mind it, but as I got a little older, I got damn bored. After I turned 14, I couldn't take it any longer, so I left home. I haven't spoken to my parents since then, but they're probably furious. I have seen my brother since, though, he's still a runt. For two years I explored Eorzea. Exciting things happened, I guess... do you really need to know about it? I knew how to fight, but -maybe- I was a little unprepared for some of the monsters out there... I earned my share of scars. The beasts weren't always the problem though, bandits were worse. When I was 16 years old, while in Limsa Lominsa, I met a pirate captain in a tavern. I impressed him with my drunken hatchet throwing (apparently) and he recruited me. I spent years of my life with that crew. Harassing ships, stealing, drinking, living out at sea most of the time. They were a bunch of useless ruffians, but then, I guess I was too, wasn't I? I was one of them. We were out at sea so much we managed to avoid getting involved in the invasion of the Garlean Empire. None of us wanted to fight in the war, we didn't really care. We didn't care about anything but ourselves. I still don't know most of what happened on the continent then... But after Bahamut was released, everything changed for me. Five years after Bahamut changed everything on the continent, I finally realized I couldn't stay out at sea any longer. I wasn't happy ignoring reality, when I knew everything was changing back home. So, at age 28, I've returned to Limsa Lominsa to start my life over. To be continued.... (Bonus Torn Page!) While I was drinking at the tavern in Limsa Lominsa, some runty little Sun Seeker named P'axi actually hired me to act as his bodyguard... (the rest is illegible)
  23. Aaah these are so adorable!! (have to try and do one too!!) what a fun way to learn about your characters.
