I agree with this. I actually happened across the article before I did this thread and I was really confused as to whether it was something for a guild, actual lore, or whatever may have you. Now I know better, but someone may accidentally take it for something unintended without ever seeing this thread. In any case, I thought it was interesting to say the least! It's decently written (which is why I wasn't completely sure if it was player-created or not at first). It would be really neat to see someone RPing a branch of the Coeurl tribe with those aesthetics.

Others have said it already, but I'm repeating things for emphasis. There are trolls EVERYWHERE. It doesn't matter what their reasoning is, they will be there, and they will eventually grief you. No one place is troll-free. It's something you've just got to deal with. Also, experiences will differ from person to person, place to place, time to time. I'm not accusing anyone here of this in particular, but just be aware of the fact that you are not some special victim with a special circumstance. Some people were lucky enough to not encounter the same negativity you did, others might have got blasted with it the moment they logged in for the first time. It happens. That's part of the reason we have RPC. Make some friends or find a few friendly groups and stick by em'. You'll be fine, regardless of what server you're on. :thumbsup:

I personally found the 100 Questions thing to be great for a new character. It was easier to do than forcing myself to churn out a traditional bio in terms of getting a feel for their personality/outlining a backstory. But that's just my opinion! I do like how condensed and concise these questions are, though. It's nice to have an alternative choice for those who feel overwhelmed by the other one.

In no particular order... I'd like to see Red Mage, Time Mage, Dark Knight, Fencer, and anything with a gun. As much as I love Blue Mage, I personally can't see how it would work in FFXIV given how the mechanics are.

Songs for Astrid were really hard to find. Geez... As for my Miqo'te that I'm currently still planning... The lyrics are too cheesy for my tastes (and don't really apply to the character's personality), but the overall melody & instrumental composition? Simply beautiful. The score of this track is definitely something that captures the kind of vibe I want to have while RPing that char. (Fantastic game this is from, too. All my nostalgia feels!) U2gNkkjM7J0

Mau/War always seemed kind of boring to me in concept, so I never bothered to try it. But after reading through what was said in this thread (specifically Sounsyy and Merri's posts), I'm very willing to give it a go now!
