Now that you mention it, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a gundam ground type if I can find one...

Hey everybody, you might know me from the other Gundam-themed thread that I made a while back, I've decided that I'm going to settle down on one single kit that I plan on detailing and entering into the Gunpla World Cup for the 2016 year since today was the deadline for American Entries. Right now I'm working on what I want to use as the base, there's so many choices and I want to use something more vague so it feels special. Something that isn't overused (Like Wing Gundam/Zero, RX-78, SEED gundams, etc etc) so I've been taking some picks here and there and jotting them down as I went. I want to keep it slim too, not slapping on a metric boatload of weapons and boosters. It'd be able to stand upright, but in terms of realism I'd like it to look like it could function in the anime without being too bulky. So far my picks are: Victory Gundam Hexa (With an ice motif, I plan to learn on how to paint a frost effect on the armor) Gundam Sandrock (Not sure what I'd go with this one.) V2 Assault Buster Gundam (More or less wth a lightning-theme going on for it, but it's a bulky model so I don't know if I'll use it.) Gundam Airmaster (Although I will be severely revamping it, such as taking the jet mode out of it and scratch building a lot of parts for it, including new shoulders, backpack, and maybe a torso if the remains are too skeletal without the stock parts.) Taurus Mobile Suit from Gundam Wing (Though this is a giant maybe if I want to order one, but I might be able to get my mittens on one if I am lucky and want to shuck out the money. Seriously one of these costs like $60+) I don't want to do anything Zeon-looking, even though I love them more than anything, a lot of their suits don't click with me aesthetically (Looking right at you Dom.)

"Well it's really no big deal, if you wish to sleep then I will not keep you" she said with a smile, being rather polite since she knew she was eating the woman's time up for something that shouldn't have happened if she was more careful. "My name is Ayane, it was a pleasure to meet you miss"
-
"Ah, right" she would scratch the back of her head for a moment, seeing the woman squinting "Would you like to wear my hat? You seem to be rather...uncomfortable with how bright it is" she said, taking off her hat to offer it to the woman.
-
She would raise her head up "Oh no I actually just left one, I was just taking a stroll around the city" she said, offering to help the woman if she would let her.
-
Knocking into the woman, Ayane would stumble a little and then looked at her fearfully. "Oh I am so sorry, I didn't see you, I was looking around the city and I wasn't paying attention." she said, bowing her head respectfully. She had pale skin and dark brown hair cropped above her shoulders, with a blue eye and a green eye. She would try to show respect to the mage, trying her best to diffuse the situation.
-
The Quicksand in Ul'dah was not what Ayane expected when she had heard of all of the talk about it being the oasis of the desert. However once getting there, she realized that what she had been told might have been more...dodgy. She was among some rather intimidating figures, mages, swordsmen, warriors, lancers, anything from all walks of life was there. She would decide to walk up to the bar, and ask for something to drink. She was wearing a mere white sundress and a large hat to keep the sun out of her eyes, she obviously looked the part of a tourist. As she would ask Momodi for a drink, she would be given some obscure fruit juice that she didn't remember the name to. All was quiet during her trip to Thanalan, having left her new home in Costa to travel a little, she was in unknown territory once more. But that creepy little Lalafell in Costa made her want to take time away from her little home, and she had heard of the city of Ul'dah. It was beautiful she had to admit, far different than the village she lived in when she lived in Doma. But then again she never really got to see the world, being cooped up in her family's manor all the time being prepared to be married off. She would get up out of her seat and start to wander around the city.

I want it...

I feel that RG could potentially replace HG if they handle it right. It's really awesome to put pieces on a skeleton, and this makes the kit so much more stable. Not only that, but my wing zero custom RG is solid as a rock, I've had it fall off my desk so many times yet not one part has come off of it.

Although Leanne, it was hinted at before 343 took over that ancient humans were enemies of the Forerunners. I love that they are expanding on that, but even if that's revealed, the characters now don't seem to even notice it's being said. Then again in Halo 3 when Spark said "YOU ARE. FORERUNNER." that REALLY threw me off because I thought he meant that humans were descendants of the forerunners.

I can see what you mean, and yeah Forge'll be coming in December. HOWEVER what good will it do if you can't have a good file share to circulate these map variants, films, and screenshots? Hell you can't even take pictures or movies in theater mode, what point does theater mode have right now?

I hope they don't repeat the style of the campaign they did for Halo 5, it felt too jumbled and too full of gaps to mean anything. I hope they go back to playing solely as the chief, Locke is a great character and all, but he's the human version of the arbiter, he's not really intended to be the main protagonist. In terms of the campaign's content, like I said it felt really jumbled up and I was left with so many more questions than I could even count. The first level alone ticked me off with the ending of it The multiplayer needs some serious additions if Halo 5 is going to survive. The content is merely slayer/Breakout and Warzone. They need Big Team Battle, Action Sack, Infection, and Objective ALONG WITH Forge and File Share. They need to get their community to have fun together, otherwise it's just turning the game on to repeat the same boring gametypes with the same boring results. There's no real variety, and I feel that if Forge and more gametypes get introduced, Halo 5 will do as good as Halo 4 did.

Hey everybody just wanted to go ahead and ask this, I'm trying Halo 5 out before the 3.1 update, anyone else doing this?

Hmmmmm, looking at the kits I have ready to donate parts, I think I'm going to try and get a V-Dash kit ordered because I am rather fond of that backpack and those arms, but I also heard that the Victory Hexa head comes in that too.
-
Oh wow that's a huge list, though I am definitely going to try and get my hands on them. The modeling knife though, what is it used for?

So turns out after visiting the hobby shop and telling what happened, he actually told me they don't sell Tamiya lacquers, he showed me this by saying I did not buy a PS spray, but a TS. He showed me that the TS paints are acrylics, and also showed me that the paint I had gotten in the polycaps caused a bit of stick since they weren't fully dried out, and when I tried to remove the parts, the thin sections just broke. He gave me a free package of blue tack so I can cover up the polycaps and pegs.
-
I'm not exactly sure what you are asking ^.^'
-
well I have replacements in the form of Rinascita's backpack being replaced by the base Fenice's along with the wings. I am going to take the broken wings and make swords out of them I think.
-
I mean the acrylliics they sell are dirt cheap, more than the Tamiya can I bought.
-
Well I've never actually been around a printing group before, for a normal print at my university it costs .25 for a colored print, so I thought since it was 8 times higher than a colored, it felt expensive. Also bad news, my gundam is ruined after I painted it. The clerk at the hobby store told me the paints I was using was acrylics, and I looked it up after a few parts broke and found out that the Tamiya PS spray cans are lacquer. I put plastic-eating paint onto my model kit...I'm going to go down there today and tell them what happened, and if they offer, I'm going to try and get a free can of acrylic paint.

ooooooh I like that crossbone booster :3

Some of the best customs come from the oldest mobile suit models, GM's are among the easiest to mod and I love seeing rugged variations of them. That being said, I REALLY want to get my hands on an Adele from gundam AGE, I never liked AGE but that Adele's head is just to die for imo
-
So I've decided to paint the gundam flat black and add a haze effect to make it look aged. It's gonna be tough to get the decals I want for it, the people that own a special printer charge a bloody fortune for one page of decals (2 dollars per page)

I treat them like sparkly rocks...
